See this movie I want to see now, not so much because I think it will be a good movie but more because I feel left out that I havent seen it yet!

#127 Re: Chris On Screen » Fanboys » 25 Jan 11 :: 19:15

Its sad though, most of the Germans I have met speak English fantastically, although most were in cities and generally mid twenties at the oldest....so I dunno...but I would have thought there would be a bigger market for the originals to be produced. BTW I still loved Germany....honestly between Berlin and Munich it is easily one of my favourite countries!

#128 Re: Square Eyes » Oscars 2011 » 25 Jan 11 :: 19:05

I haven't been keeping up with ANY movies this year...only really what I have been hearing on this board and through other friends. The one thing about traveling is its very easy to lose track of these types of things. Although alot of the time the "best" movies arent my favourites anyway

#129 Re: Chris On Screen » Fanboys » 25 Jan 11 :: 19:03

I think it would be amusing to hear the dubbed voices....well at least once. I cant see it being a regular thing, but amusing for the first time anyway

#130 Re: Chris On Screen » The Rite » 25 Jan 11 :: 19:02

From the sounds of it, his part will be small at best. I hope we can managed to get a few good scenes, but sadly I don't have my hopes too high for this movie

I am fairly sure I am the only one on the board to see this....but Happy Australia Day, well in Australia it is already (Jan 26th)

#132 Re: Chris On Screen » Criminal Minds » 25 Jan 11 :: 15:10

:embarrassed: I actually really like this show......hahaha I can see how it can come across as lame, but I generally like them. This episode does show them in quite a bad light though. And my favourite character wasnt really in it much at all.

#133 Re: Chris On Screen » Fanboys » 25 Jan 11 :: 14:44

Well I only know very broadly where you are from... But I was in the UK for 3 weeks, went through London and Liverpool in England though. Is that close to you?

#134 Re: Chris On Screen » Fanboys » 24 Jan 11 :: 23:13

It really has been ages!! I even went through your neck of the woods not too long ago and thought about maybe meeting you but you hadnt been online in so long!

#135 Re: Square Eyes » 2011 Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Awards » 19 Jan 11 :: 19:31

Hahaha I still see her as Peggy too! I cant help it! Like when she was playing the mum in 8 rules or whatever it was called and even as the voice of Lela in Futurama...

#136 Re: Fanart » Need Help. Anyone know how to make graphics? » 19 Jan 11 :: 00:36

sad Now I REEEEEEEEEALLY wish I could help... Honestly my artistic skill is outdone by my 3 year old nephew and computers are not something that I can easily work with. So so so sorry. I would LOVE to help, but really cant sad

#137 Re: Square Eyes » In Praise of Chris's Colleagues » 19 Jan 11 :: 00:34

Any idea who the other 2 are and who Sam plays? I have seen an episode or 2 of the British one and liked it but never got to see it again since traveling

#138 Re: Fanart » Need Help. Anyone know how to make graphics? » 18 Jan 11 :: 21:54

If technology and I got along better then I would volunteer my time but sorry Deb.... I am really terrible. Please share whatever you come up with though wink

#139 Re: Square Eyes » In Praise of Chris's Colleagues » 18 Jan 11 :: 21:48

Because of Sam and I have vaguely heard of the premise for being human....thats the show were they are vampires and such but trying to pass off as human?? I may be totally off the mark there so I really dont know. But yeah I would give it a shot...probably wont get out to Australia for a few years yet though and only if its a success tongue

#140 Re: Square Eyes » True Blood » 15 Jan 11 :: 11:31

Something horrific like that yeah...

#141 Re: Square Eyes » True Blood » 14 Jan 11 :: 18:05

Yup. Tara isnt even in the first book and Lafayette plays such a small role in the books. Godric is just odd in the books. I much prefer him from the show....that and drool time. wink

#142 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Randomness » 14 Jan 11 :: 18:04

Gizmo....when he was just a pup he looked kinda like a mix between an Ewok and a Mogwai. So I chose to name him Gizmo. I have since found out that its a REALLY common name for a dog. Especially for the maltese cross shitzu that he is.

#144 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Randomness » 14 Jan 11 :: 12:29

Thinking of you Mum, Anne. Praying all goes well for you and your family

#145 Re: Square Eyes » True Blood » 14 Jan 11 :: 12:25

I have read only a few of the books and I am pretty much hooked....its alittle difficult to start reading a series while traveling though so havent kept it up but when I get home I will go hunting for them. The books are written in the same style and alot of the events and scenes from the show are the same but they mix up time lines abit and cut stuff out (but this usually happens every time a book is converted). The books are still alot about sex and raunch like the show is, but I think they do it more tastefully....besides reading it means its only as explicit as your imagination smile

#146 Re: Square Eyes » True Blood » 12 Jan 11 :: 16:50

Hahaha Mum and Dad both go away for a few days so I CAN'T call home and talk to them and they arent on facebook for me to "talk" to them that way. They get back and panic when they are home for one day and havent heard from me. HAHA its ok I have already been sending emails to them and I even left a phone message while they were away. Honestly I know they mean well, but come on, calm down just a teeny bit

#147 Re: Square Eyes » True Blood » 12 Jan 11 :: 15:51

I am feeling alittle short of breath myself. WOW

#148 Re: Chris On Screen » Dear Roommate » 09 Jan 11 :: 16:19

It is so very cute....I just adore him when he knocks on the wall to get her attention its just sooooooo cute they way he does it. I also like that it is a short film. I think if they had a bigger or longer production of it then it would feel drawn out. ohhhhhhhhhhhh sexy man! :drool:

I really do worry about my knees. I had more of my weird bone-pain on my legs today. the long ones between knees and ankles.

They could be what is called shin splints...usually comes from exercise and strain. It is literally your muscles pulling away from your bone. Supposedly its quite common because as we as a society has progressed and made footpaths and the like we didnt realised how bad it is for our feet, knees and muscles to constantly be walking on flat hard ground. Grass and dirt are much more forgiving than concrete. If you are interested I have posted the wiki page about it. Its really common, I would be surprised if your doctor didnt already think of this.

Bad time to bring up that I have left Vienna and made it to Munich now? I love traveling but honestly getting over living out of my backpack with limited privacy... Will be nice to get home, though I still have SOOO much that I want to see and do while I am over here. Europe is so beautiful and lovely and countries are so close together! Hahaha I can get on a train back home travel for hours and still not even be in another state...its bizzare to me that 4 hours on a train and I can go from Prague to Vienna and then another 4 hours and its Vienna to Munich....weird....
