I loathe traveling. Loathe flying. I like being other places, I just hate the process of getting there. Unless it's a road trip. Driving I don't mind at all --- especially when I know where I'm going. I do usually get homesick though. The only time I felt absolutely no homesickness at all was when I visited my friend Elaine in Michigan and we drove up into Canada. That was a beautiful trip. Every time I leave Atlanta, I miss grass and trees and big yards and roads that make sense.
For seven years I had a habbit of travelling 800 km (about 500miles) across Finland by train to meet my sisters and go to a small festifal. This year I passed. It was just so freakish thought to go again alone with three kids. I like travelling in the train but a year ago it was so horrible. I had my hands full with the kids and all that I had to carry. Maybe again next summer when we don't need the freaking troller with us anymore...
So what I think of travelling... The trip is half the experiment. But I hate luggage!

I think you'll really like Alpha Dog, Maria. Chris is amazing in it! What other movies of his do you have? Do you have JOA or Strong Medicine on DVD?
I don't own any other Chris movies yet. Last few years the kids have been so rough on our dvd collection I haven't buyd a lot of new ones. Just borrowed other people's dvds. Now it seems I've finally found a good hiding place for my dvds. 
I have seen Alpha dog before. I know it's good. I just want to see it again real bad.

Illinois has a lot of my favorites on his lists. Pretty similar taste.
I haven't really warmed up to the Bond movies (propably because of all the hype around it) but if YOU say that one is good, I just might give it a shot.
Here's some of my favorite movies that come to mind:
Back to the Future trilogy
Star wars 1-6 - just plain awesome.
Die hard 1-4 - I think 3 was the one that wasn't as good as the rest. four was different but I forgive it's flaws because they gave Justin Long a brake.
Other Willis favorites: Blind date (oldie, seen on TV couple of times), Hudson Hawk, Twelve monkeys, The fifth element, Mercury rising, Armageddon, Unbreakable, Bandits, The whole nine yards + the seguel, and ofcourse Alpha dog.
Rocky movies
Demolition man was good too. against all odds!
Favorite Marvel: Spiderman 1-3, X-men 1-3, Hulk (2003 + 2008), Daredevil, Elektra, Fantastic four 1-2, ofcourse Ghost rider (Nic Cage is great)
Other good Cage movies: Honeymoon in Vegas, The Rock, Face/off, Con air, Gone in sixty seconds, Windtalkers, National treasure (haven't seen the seguel yet).
Huh, these are just some of my favorites in action. There's so much movies I like it would take a day to list them all.. I didn't even get to the Jackie Chans yet! And there's lots of romance movies I like...
One movie I want to recommend on this spot is pretty fresh The forbidden Kingdom. It has Jackie Chan in it and Jet Li. And Michael Angarano. That dude is good. I totally loved this movie. It was eventful, funny and heartwarming. The storyline was great. I'd give it five stars!

I just looked this up. Looks interesting. I doubt I'll never see it here unless they deside to show it on TV. It's hard to find dvd's from the 90's movies and they really don't sell or rent vhs anymore here. :doh:
Cirka year 1996 I liked Jared Leto alot. I never skipped an episode of 'My so called life'. I so want to see that again.

Yeah, I've seen american history x many times from TV. That is good.
You named a lot of movies I've always wanted to see but never came across one. before sunrise, before sunset, crash, the constant gardener. I think I'll be going to rent movies for a change. Haven't done that for a long time...

Wow, you Illinoisguy really got into this.
I liked Armageddon and The Die Hards a lot too. Just gotta love the action movies Willis did on the 90's. I have to thank my little brother A for getting me into american action movies when we were teens. I watched a lot of Willis and Stallone with him.

Yeah, I know it's weird to put it in the bathroom, but it's really the only way where it can go without me having to rearrange my other autographs in the bedroom. But, hey, I also have a Harry Potter poster in the bathroom and it's nice to be able to look at my JoA guys every time I pee. Oops, did I just say that? :silly:

I was just digging thru the long forgotten threads on page 4... and came across this one.
I love the Heroes. Well daa, I keep telling that I love all the damn hero-stories ever made so ofcourse I dig the series.
Peter is my favorite hero. He's like the hero of all heroes. He's got a big role. I like Hiro too.
My favorite superpower.. I like them all... so Peter's. Oh, I'm greedy... :embarrassed: No really, if I had to pick just one, I'd have to say flying. When I was a kid I dreamed of flying. I used to stand on a roof and feel the wind in my face. And we crazy finns.. We have all that snow in the winter so me and my brothers and few friends had a nutty hobby of jumping of the roof. Competing who would jump from highest. Guess who won.... It's a miracle I didn't break my legs. It was about two stories high.

... And they change again. So I do have to go to the brithday party because JTT wants me to drive. I was a bit torn about the situation but my friend suprised me by saying she found another babysitter. So that's it. Bdparty at 5pm and back home by 7 or 8.
I keep thinking now is sunday. It's saturday. So what nice things I could do this evening...
