#1702 Re: Square Eyes » Twilight (contains spoilers for all books and the movies) » 07 Oct 08 :: 06:40

I've never read the book. Maybe I should.  I just never came across one. I've never read Harry Potter eighter. Just a bit in the beginning. I've only watched a few of those films. It's a funny thing. I loved reading scifi and fantacy when I was a teen but for many years now I've been having a hard time to get past the beginning. I never seem to have the time to really concintrate on my reading now days. Maybe when the kids get bigger...

Twilight trailer looks good. Can't wait to see it. big_smile

#1703 Re: All About Chris » We're Going To LA! » 07 Oct 08 :: 06:06

Whoa! We just spent the most awesome three hours with Chris. He took all the time in the world with us, he was just really sweet and funny and unbelievably nice. It's hard to put in words. He gave us a really really REALLY in depth, long, most amazing interview, which of course we're gonna post on the website, once we've edited it for you. Of course we took a buttload of pictures, but we'll have to sort through them before we post. Chris literally only just left and we have to hit the road. More later (sorry).

I wish I'd been there... :drool:
Oh well.. I'd propably developed some arrhythmia and some nice men with a loud white car would have had to take me away in the middle of the best part! lol

She (Amber) thinks that there cannot be true feminism that denigrates men.

I so agree with this one. Not that I would make a good feminist... Sometimes I like it a lot to have a man in charge of some stuff at home. Sometimes I'm so self-indulgent it embarrasing... :embarrassed: I'm like a cat. I so want to be free to come and go as I wish but I still love it when there's a place where to come home to and someone that wants to take care of me... But I also have this huge urge to take care of others so I really do pay back. big_smile

Some of the October road recast hits the spot too but something is off to me...

Um.. the watch, the books, the pictures... ofcourse the beard. big_smile Did I miss anything? Both pictures are seriously droolworthy! :drool:

Edit.. I just noticed, I love that beard. That picture is much much sexier with the face fuzz! :drool: It kind of underlines the chin and I do love the guy's chin! lol

My JTT sits like that a lot ...and I do jump him a lot! wink Show him some hipmoves... offer a straight visual to my cleavage..a lot of kisses and some nibbling... drive him crrrraaazy! lol :embarrassed:

A lot of cute pics in this thread. They made me drool and gigle, and elevated my heartbeat...

Um.. Sorry. :silly: I'm feeling like a electric rabbit today since I haven't really eaten anything all day; just a lot of coffee and juice. Feeling a bit sick again.. nothing goes down.. So I've been awake for 8 hours now without eating. I should try again. Because i should clean again... Just don't have the energy. And this whole not eating thing made me skip all the comments, I just checked 20 pages of pictures. :drool: I can't read anything now. My eyes don't stay in the same row long enough. :rofl:

Oh, you naughty, naughty girls.. How shall I punnish you? wink Oh well, that's almost 10 charecters, that 2x5 so... Let's let it slide. big_smile
I would totally see more of Grey's anatomy with that cast! smile

Deb also kinda liked your idea about Adam Sandler. She would like to recast Chris for Adam in every one of his movies. big_smile

Not all of them? Maybe when he's closer to 30. big_smile I would totally love to see Chris in Big daddy! big_smile Or just any other daddy-role. He looks like a guy that'll one day make a good dad.

#1709 Re: Square Eyes » Transformers » 06 Oct 08 :: 11:37

I saw Transformers both in the Theater and dvd. A couple of times on the dvd. It's just the type of movies JTT likes and I finally got him in to a theater with me. lol Plus I do dig the hero-flicks. Shia kinda is the hero here. Most of the action I just let go by me since I get numb when there's a lot of explotions and gunfight. I like more about physical action. You know; fighting, climbing, running for your life-stuff? lol And ofcourse when the heroes are smart and witty and makes good jokes on the way. Invent stuff... The romance was good. Most hero-flicks have a good romance story on the side. Love it.

I do kind of get where TJ comes with the whole Chris-Shia- comparrison. On certain angles it apparent. http://www.imdb.com/media/rm334862592/nm0479471  but on closeups in no way. His chin isn't half as sexy as Chris'! :drool:

Just thinking of this looks like-stuff, I remember watching the movie The Forbidden Kingdom with Michael Angarano.http://www.imdb.com/media/rm2953745920/nm0029400 He could be Chris' brother. But he too has a bit different look to be an actual 'twin'... wink

I first saw him in Angel. He was good. I thoughted I saw him in Monalisa Smile too but it's not listed in his IMDB site. Now I'm puzzled. I could have sworn I saw him there as a townie guy that comes to hit on the school girls at night. Was it some other all girl's school movie?

I think he would make a good Joey. He certainly has the charm for it. If he can't pass as a guy with italian roots, who cares?! Why shouldn't we be able to change the ethnitity of the charecters? big_smile

Do I need to do some Chris-rehab? lol

Deb, TJ and Samsy Marie must be thinking: damn, we go for a little trip for few days and BANG! This new chick is taking over the whole damn message board... :embarrassed:
And also.. My JTT saw me reading these posts on the weekend and rolled his eyes. Several times. lol I quess there's no point in trying to hide it anymore: I've become a hard core fan for the first time in my life. :drool:

Amber looks amazing! big_smile She's certainly no teenaged girl anymore.

#1715 Re: Square Eyes » ***NEW GAME: Recast - with a twist! :D » 06 Oct 08 :: 07:07

I'll start with FRIENDS since that's where this thought came. Last thing I watched before going to bed was an episode of Friends. I must have been pretty tired since I started to see Chris's face at first when watching Chandler, then in Ross. He'd be great at eighter one! big_smile The pairing is in no way intentional. Not that I didn't want to see Amber and Chris together again. wink

Ross: Chris M
Rachel: Amber Tamblyn (JOA)
Chandler: Seth Green (my wild card)
Phoepe: Elisha Cuthbert (Girl Next Door)
Monica: Kristen Bell (Fanboys)
Joey: Vincent Kartheiser (Alpha dog)

Would you like to see an episode of this? :drool:

YOUR MISSION: Recast a movie or a tv-series.

RULES:

1. You have to put Chris in one of the roles.

2. All the rest must be Chris' former castmates
(in any movie or series he's been before).

3. If there's more than five (5) main charecters, you get one wild card. As in one brand new castmember with no ties to Chris.

Have fun! big_smile

#1719 Re: Square Eyes » I've got a little questionare about your habbits :D » 04 Oct 08 :: 23:20

Yeah, I should propably answer this my self too?

Part one: movie theaters

How many times have you been in theaters?
Um. Maybe about 20 times. About 60% of them during the last ten years.

Do you have an oppinion about movie theaters?

They can be messy but there's always the same great athmosphere. I can feel all the people anticipating a good movie experience.

At what age was your first experience? Remember the movie?
Maybe about 10. I think it was Bethoven 2. it was a school trip.

What is your all time favorite movie seen in theater?
Star Wars episode 1. big_smile

In how many theaters have you been?
Three. The one in my home town (where I grew up), the one in my current home town and the one in the neighbouring town.

Do you find any differences in different theaters? If so, What? (Themes or something?)
These are all pretty small, basic theaters. I love the one in my current home town. It's decorated like a 50's USA coffee house.

Do you have a favorite theater? Which one?
yep. see the previous. Here's a pic from downstairs where's the cafe. http://www.cultcinema.fi/suomi/images/cafe.jpg
Great athmosphere.

Do you have a specific type of movies that you just have to see in a theater, not just DVD? Why?
The spectacle movies are nice to see on a big screen. I like seeing the ones that make me cry at the privacy of my own house. :embarrassed:

What does the movie theater-experience mean to you?
It's always been a special event for me. Even now that I'm an adult and actually can affort to go more often, I make an effort not to go too often. Does this sound nuts? I mean I don't want it to come a routine. It's my favorite way to escape my routines.

Are you drawn to see the movies that are very popular or most-discussed?

I'm a weirdo. I actually loose my intrest when there's a lot of hype around something. I don't want to follow the heard.

What's your mood usually after you leave a theater?

Usually I'm very happy that I went there. I feel satisfied. And at the same time sad, because I start to miss the charecters.
* * * * *

Part 2: DVD

Do you have a favorite place to rent or buy DVD's? If so, What is so special about it?

I don't really rent anymore. Most of the buying I do in the web.. www.cdon.com is my usual place.

A Quick look at your DVD-stand: what do you see at first?

All the damn Marvel-movies there's ever been made. (JTT's but I like them too)

Have you got any favorite DVD's?

August Rush.. I love the music in it. Holiday... The musketeers! big_smile Just friends ofcourse. big_smile
Do you buy a lot of DVD's?

What's your flavor when it comes to DVD's? Horror movies? Drama? TV-series?
Lately I've gone for the tear droppers; drama and romance. But I've always liked action movies too. And comedies ofcourse. Mix all of these and I'll deffinatelly watch it. big_smile I've never liked horror movies even tough I've liked many horror-series. Most horror movies eighter make me laugh or they scare me too much. Gives me nightmares. I tried watching Freddy vs. Jason last week just to see Chris, but the damn dvd was scratched. Great thing to have kids! wink

What do you do when you have a movie night at home? Snacks and all?

Wait for the kids to fall asleep, take a little chicps and something to drink, maybe some chocolate. Then it's all enjoy, enjoy, enjoy...

Do you like to have a lot of company when watching a movie on DVD?
If it's not gonna make me cry I don't mind the company. But they better stay pretty quiet or I can't concentrate on the movie...

Do you have a lot of pauses when you're watching a movie? Does it anoy you to watch with some who wants a lot of pauses?
Not really. I usually try to watch everything without pauses.
* * * * *

Part 3: TV

How many hours a day you watch TV?

Um, 1-4. It's my way to unwind after the kids go to sleep.

Do YOU think it's too much?

Yeah, most days.

What type of TV-shows you like?
Crime, mystery, medical, horror, drama, sitcoms

Any favorites?

Dexter, Criminal minds, NCIS, Supernatural, Buffy, House MD, ER, Crossing Jordan, Cold case.. I got tired of the CSI's..

Do you like to watch made for TV- movies?

Some. I remember one called I remember my name is Steven. I'd like to see it again to form a better oppinion..

Do you generally watch a lot of movies on TV?

Maybe once a week if something good comes on.

What's your TV-watching experience like?

We have this digibox-thing in Finland. I don't know how common it's elsewhere. I record pretty much everything I want to see on the box and then just see show after another 'till I get sleepy. Nice to fastforward the commercials. big_smile

Is there a certain moment in a day when you like to watch TV?

The evenings. On weekends I watch tv for couple of hours during the day if I get the chance. On the weenend evenings I usually like to listen to music and be on the computer. Like now. big_smile

It all happened before you came here.  My best friend, Whinnie was killed last week in a car accident.  Her boyfriend, Shawn was driving.  No one but Whinnie was seriously injured.

#1722 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Randomness » 04 Oct 08 :: 20:27

Around here you need a car. Everything is miles away.

-sounds like the place where I grew up. Small town middle of Lapland...

Does the tires lose air slowly or quickly?

- Two of them are in good shape. The left one on the back looses air pretty slowly. The right one in the front has started to loose more quickly. I tried asking JTT why can't we just buy one new tire and maybe fix the other one, but he said we should buy all new. I kinda get the idea. I think we've had the same tires for five years.

There's a law in Finland when it's legal to use winter tires because of the tacks can damage the road. I know there's these other tires that could be used around the year but.. you quessed it?... JTT has something against them. He says the current ones are better. I have a hunch that he just thinks they're good enough. He's a little cheap about some purchases. But I really don't like it when he does it with the car. Feels like he's gambling with our lives. neutral He keeps telling me that if we had a warm garrage he would do lots of things to the car. I'm not buying that one. He's always so stressful and tired.  know that's the real reason.

#1723 Re: All About Chris » How tall is Chris? » 04 Oct 08 :: 16:51

I've been 5'2 since I was 12. That's 14 years of my life already. So no hopes for growing anymore. lol My kids are gonna out-grow me one day. It's a fact. Freaks me out. I was just about to die when my little brothers out-grew me. They are over 6' now all grown up. The men in my mom's family have always been giants.

I've always liked guys that are somewhere between 5'2 - 5'8. I hate tall people. So nice talking to their belly button! lol

Got my car fixed today.

$65 for the tow and $290 for the repair.

Plus before this was $17 for the starter relay and $85 for a new battery.

So for a grand total of $457.00 over the past 8 days.

But I'm so happy that the car is running again.

smile

Oh... CARS! Pain in the butt but nice to have.. I just got my licence on october 18th last year.

Lately I've been driving my JTT nuts over telling him things that don't feel right to me in the car. He's so macho about this stuff he doesn't wan't to listen. So last week I took the car to a gas station and asked the guy there to help me check out the air pressure on the tires (because I 'd told JTT for a month that they weren't right). The guy said one of the tires were dangerously empty. He put some air in there. JTT just had to complaine ofcourse. "he put too much in that one, too little on the other one". MEN! lol But then he too had to admit the tires didn't look right. The one that was almost empty, is very worn out. So we really need some new summer tires and it will cost us like 500 euros, JTT says.We don't have that money right now. I'm so freaked out to go driving with the kids. Now I'm thinking JTT doesn't want to buy those new tires this fall since soon it will be the time when we an change the winter tires... I swear, sometimes JTT is so darn macho with the car stuff I just want to slap him! I know the car stuff is his specialty (he works fixing cranes, he's an engineer) but he never has the energy to look at out own car. And he never wants to tell me stuff about the car. He doesn't even like it when I get gas. He thinks I'm gonna mess it up. :doh: I did it once on my road trip to my home town and I did nothing wrong. I so hate be the Jane (to my Tarzan) in this relationship... Freaking caveman!
