Good one!  Deborah Kerr was in "An Affair to Remember" with Cary Grant, but I'm gonna think about it for awhile and see if I can think of a shorter way.

#158 Re: Introduce Yourself » Our little questionnaire ::: Come on in and answer it » 05 Aug 11 :: 00:05

Yeah, I remember it very well.  It was so sad!  Joan had been gone from everyone for years, Will and Helen were both gone.  I remember the scene between Elya and Kevin really well.  Though it was sad, there were parts of it that were hopeful.

#159 Re: Introduce Yourself » Our little questionnaire ::: Come on in and answer it » 04 Aug 11 :: 19:53

I remember it now!  The daughter's name was/is Elya.  She got nominated for some kind of fanfic sci-fi award I think I remember.

What would you want to see Chris doing next out of these?
a) a very dark and suspenseful thriller
b) a sitcom
c) a quirky and/or romantic comedy

g) a dramatic movie
h) a medical or cop show
i) a theater play
j) something else entirely (if so, what?)

Hmm perhaps a sitcom, he's got such a hilarious sense of comedic timing. And I'd be on cloud nine if he became a series regular again. But since I recently read the fanfiction story "Why?" I've had Chris stuck in my head in the 'fatherly' role. Which is adorable. I can't wait until he's 'old enough' to really pull off that role.

Welcome, Joanna!  You seem like you'll be a great addition to the board.  You certainly have amazing taste!

TeeJay, is "Why" one of yours?

How about just "Chris's Co-Stars"?  That's broad, but simple.

I loved "Columbo", too.  Etude in Black contains the first time onscreen for Gwyneth Paltrow: take a look at Blythe Danner in her tennis dress.  I wonder if PF was still married to Shera Danese?  I thought they were, but his daughter seemed to be his primary caretaker.  I'm sorry his family had to go through all that, but he'll sure be missed.

I went to my favorite bookstore two days ago and found out that Ann´Brashares has written another Sisterhood novel. I had totally no idea. It's with the four girls, 10 years later. I'm going to wait for the paperback, but I'm looking foward to reading it already.

I checked this one out of the library last week and just finished reading it.  It's really good but, I have to say, brace yourself!

#165 Re: Joan of Arcadia » songs....problems » 01 Jul 11 :: 18:02

That's a great song!  It was also featured in "Just Friends".

#166 Re: Square Eyes » Twilight (contains spoilers for all books and the movies) » 15 Jun 11 :: 22:20

I'm sure I'm the last the hear about this.  I'm usually the last to hear about everything. ;-)  I just read that Stephenie Meyer, Wyck Godfrey, and Melissa Rosenburg have cameos in the wedding scene.  You can see them (Meyer and Godfrey, at least.  I'm not sure about Rosenburg) in the trailer.  About 44 seconds in, they're on the left (bride's) side.

I think that's nice.  If I'd been them, I'd have given the 3 previous directors a seat at the wedding, too.  I hope they acknowledged them in some way.

#167 Re: Joan of Arcadia » songs....problems » 14 Jun 11 :: 15:05

Oh, I love that one!  It was so much better than the one they originally used: "Have A Little Faith in Me" by Jewel.  That one might have been more anvillicious than when they used "Sympathy For the Devil" in the Ryan Hunter episodes.

#168 Re: Joan of Arcadia » songs....problems » 13 Jun 11 :: 21:53

I hope you find what you're looking for, stanmajor!  Thanks for the google tip, too.  I just found out the title and artist for the song used at the end of "No Bad Guy".  On the DVD, not the original.  Apparently it's called "Always" and the artist is Robert Scheffler.  I've been trying to find that one for YEARS!!!

http://noahsarc.yuku.com/topic/444

And it's available for download.  It's easy once you've got the title and artist.  Thanks again!

BTW, is the episode you're looking for the song from called "Touch Move"?  The one where Joan joined the chess club?

:rofl:  I'll have to check that out!  Chris Weitz said in the commentary track of "New Moon" that he'd wanted to record the screaming teenagers voices and use it for the scene where the Volturi massacre a hundred or so tourists but decided that it would be too much!

#170 Re: Square Eyes » Twilight (contains spoilers for all books and the movies) » 10 Jun 11 :: 21:13

I love Michael Sheen, too.  I'll watch just about anything if he's in it.

Is it just me, or does the new Breaking Dawn teaser trailer that they introduced at the MTV Video Awards make it look like Jacob has a Hitler-style mustache?  Very weird looking!

Deb, post that picture of EJ for Anne.  The one with the red curls, yellow pinafore, and GREEN eyes.

Me and You and a Dog Named Boo IS the title and the band was Lobo.  LOL at Duchovny's doggie.

Anne, Deb thinks that Adam and Joan will someday have a baby named Elizabeth (after his mother) Jane (after Joan).

"I'll Be Doggone" - Marvin Gaye
"How Much Is That Doggie in the Window?" - Patti Page
"Hound Dog" - Elvis Presley
"I Love My Dog" - Cat Stevens
"Snoopy vs. The Red Baron"
"Hang On Sloopy" - The McCoys *
"I Wanna Be Your Dog" - The Stooges featuring Iggy Pop **
"Scooby Doo Theme"

He had "Old Blue" by The Byrds on there but Adam deleted it because the puppy listened to it over and over again even though it made him cry every time he heard it.

*  Has nothing to do with dogs, but the puppy doesn't know that.

** This one is for Carl (NOT Rove)

That's all I got.  Anybody else?
