The third scene wasn't much for Sean but important to the story.  And unless they kill him off in the next 9 minutes, Boyd will be back next week.  i'm sure of it.

Holy wow!  Sean's second scene is freaky.  Minute 18.

#18578 Re: All About Chris » The Brothers Marquette » 21 Aug 06 :: 03:07

Sean pops up before the opening credits even roll this time.  And his character is the only one of the Nova Group escapees who gets his name and disappearance date onscreen so it looks like he's going to be important.

More later.

Good, I can stop watching this now.  The Kiss was the 2nd category and they didn't show any of the nominees in the audience.  Keanu & Sandra won for whatever that movie is called.  They announced his name as Christopher, unlike the MTV Awards.  That's all I have to report.  Sean's on in 40 minutes.

#18580 Re: Chris On Screen » Just Friends » 21 Aug 06 :: 02:06

Chris is not on the list of guests but Kristen Bell is.  That doesn't mean he's not there as a nominee though.  Didn't see him in the pre-show.

PS: Is it sick that I think he was realy cute with a black eye?

I just did imitate it.  Too bad no one was here to cap me.  I had a scrambled egg sandwich with ham and cheese.  No ketchup though.  Yuck!

One more thing, just for the record.  I have an Adam too, but I can't post a picture and I can't tell you what he is.

#18584 Re: The Bullhorn » A Brief History Of The Dorquettes » 20 Aug 06 :: 19:15

Oh yeah, and there's the rings.  I've been looking for rings like Chris's forever. Before I started looking, they were everywhere. Now, I can't find what I want.  I do have one ring that's similar to his that I can wear on either forefinger or thumb.  But I still don't have the ones I want.  And now he doesn't seem to be wearing them anymore.  Oh well.  Somehow, that doesn't make me want them any less.

CONFIRMATION!

Boy, I have a busy night ahead of me.  Looks like I'll be taping on both TVs.

Sean is indeed on The 4400 again tonight.  The ep is called Terrible Swift Sword.  In it, all the Nova group members who are imprisoned at NTAC escape, including Boyd Gelder.  So it was Sean I saw in the preview in the orange jumpsuit, sitting on the prison cot.  I don't know what's going to happen with him, but I'm sure it will be intense.  The ep's synopsis says that Tom and Diana suspect Jordan Collier of breaking out the Nova gang.  I find that a bit surprising.  I figured it would be Isabel, using them to go after Jordan.  Guess we'll see.

Of course it's obvious how you altered your Adam.  Do I even need to say it?  It rhymes with pie-cows.  Kind of.

#18587 Re: Square Eyes » New Barbara Hall project » 20 Aug 06 :: 18:09

Yes, a lot of the new and returning shows will be back when you're here.  Some won't.  Like 24, for instance, will not be back till about November most likely because of the baseball playoffs being on Fox.  The only new show I'm even remotely interested in so far is Jericho, and that's only because Skeet Ulrich and Sprague Grayden are in it.  I should know fairly soon exactly what shows are premiering on what dates. TV Guide's Fall Preview and Returning Favorites issues will be out in a couple of weeks.

No, I'm not going to insist that you cap BMI.  Ask nicely, yes.  Insist, not so much.  If you can find the time and you're inclined to try, please do.  There are some really nice moments in it.

And yes, I noticed about the abreviations.  And I'm also certain it's intentional.  One of the few things the show's writers were clever about.

TeeJay,

Do you think BMI is screencappable?

Deb

#18590 Re: Chris On Screen » Strong Medicine » 20 Aug 06 :: 07:40

Yes!  "Define first moment" is one of my fave things in BMI. And BMI is my all-time fave Marc ep!

Hey TeeJay,

Thanks for the GSW screencaps!  You capped a few of my favorite expressions and made me have to watch the second scene again.  Wow.  I just love grown-up Marc!  I think the very last one is my fave.

Yep, I quit watching XF when it was ruined by losing Mulder too.  And you're right about the copy-catting nature of network TV.  Look at last year when ABC had Invasion, CBS had Threshold & NBC had Surface.  All about aliens coming out of the water.  Blatantly obvious copy-catting.  Like that crap show on CBS that shall remain nameless that's a rip off of Medium.  Makes me sick.  But there's very little original thought in Hollywood.  This we know.

#18593 Re: Joan of Arcadia » Adam & God Watch » 20 Aug 06 :: 04:26

I'm not sure we can count those girls noticing CuteGuyGod in the pilot in quite the same way we can count the very obviously deliberate way BH & Co had Adam interact with Him/Her.

Luke of course noticed BalloonAnimalGod.  But that's the only time I can remember Luke interacting.

Let's look at the scene at the beginning of Friday where DogWalkerGod talks to Joan and Judith just lays down on the grass (perhaps mimicking death), paying no attention to the fact that Joan has wandered off.  Now that's what I call NOT noticing.  And that's what happens most of the time when she leaves to speak to God.  It's like everyone around her just zones out till she's finished.

Not Adam.  Now, he doesn't always notice the God avatars.  But he frequently does.  I will cite more examples of this as I run across them.

Hey TeeJay,

Thanks for making and putting up the new caps of the Helen & Adam scene from Shadows & Light and the utterly priceless Grace & Adam scene from that same ep.  They are so very cute!  You did a great job with the capping!

I hate exocrist type stuff and stigmata and all that demon-related blather.  But I will say this; Exorcist III, which Joe Roth produced really drew me in.  It's mostly about this guy --- who may or may not be possesed --- who's killing priests.  It features a knock-out performace by Brad Douriff as the killer.  I've seen Brad turn in some spectacular work before, like in the classic X Files ep, Beyond The Sea.  But his turn in E III was just stunning.

I'm a little annoyed at the overkill of supernatural stuff appearing on TV these days too.  Or weary may be a better word. Because there's so much of it, none of it is very good.

Dayum, I love that review!  I'm really jazzed at how he couldn't stop talking about the actors and the story.  I think that even if Fanboys is far from perfect, WE are going to love it!  Seems like it's going to have a little of everything we all love about movies and a whole LOT of Chris.  Wish I could just go to sleep and wake up on opening day because the waiting is going to suck!

Deb

#18597 Re: Square Eyes » New Barbara Hall project » 19 Aug 06 :: 18:49

I can't take stuff like that.  I won't watch unless they assemble an amazing cast or something.  We probably won't see it till season after next because all that first sentence means is that they are producing a pilot.  Doesn't mean it'll get picked up.  Guess we'll just have to wait and see.  Can't say I'm excited about it.

Thanks a bunch man!  I might be going new car shopping next weekend.  My current lease is almost up and they've been soliciting me with all kinds of great close-out deals on '06 models.  This sticker could be the first one on a brand new car.  big_smile
