If they decide to revisit that universe, I'd prefer a sequel. And that wouldn't be too bad, probably.
I'm kinda all gangstered-out, but I am keen to see David Chase do a Sopranos movie, which he will do. Eventually.
Another remake is this one:

Not unsurprisingly, the "original" film, a Troma release, is awful. I saw it about 30 years ago. To say that its shit is being unkind to poop.
Weird story of the day:
That's a man, baby
When will they remake Goodfellas ?
Despicable...

I'm so glad those evil clowns are gone.
Y'know what scares me ? Those evil clowns got away with so much shit, and they could always come back. I damned sure hope not. As it is now, the Dems are mostly a really cowardly bunch, ready to roll over for the Rethugs at the drop of a hat, which is bizarre, because they DO NOT HAVE TO, they have a majority.
Would it actually make sense to watch Happiness before seeing this one? I've never seen it. I think the problem was that it never came out on DVD in Germany, but I might be able to get it through eBay or amazon Marketplace.

Happiness is very strange. I remember seeing it at a theatre where several people walked out on it. Patty was more or less disgusted by the movie. I'm still not sure how I feel about it
Ann Reinking was in Micki + Maude with Amy Irving who was in
The Confession with Alec Baldwin who was in Outside Providence with
Shawn Hatosy who was in Alpha Dog with ......
Jason Robards
I think its cool that my review of Once and Again got so many peeps to buy the DVD box set(s).
Oddly, I don't have any of them.
Well, the original is pretty gross. I know people love it, but I think it's a terrible excuse for a movie. And honestly, I wouldn't have the slightest interest in the new one if not for the cast, and most especially because I saw a trailer in which STC looked and acted so Adamy I just knew I'd have to see the damn thing.
I read very negative things about the remake, and, like I mentioned, I never actually saw the original, really, since I had to turn it off after the comment made by my sister's then beau. I found it quite seedy, in any case.
I just Netflixed "The Virgin Spring," the Ingmar Bergman film that originally "inspired" Wes Craven. Assuming that I actually watch The Virgin Spring, it will be the first Bergman film that I have ever seen ( ! )
Back in the days of VHS, I was watching a heavily censored version of (the original) Last House on the Left when my sister's then boyfriend entered the room and declared that I was a "sicko" for having rented the video
This is a hoot: http://twitter.com/InsuranceLobby
LOL! Not surprising.
I would send a correction to TiVo, if I could do it online.
I send corrections/additions, etc. to www.imdb.com frequently.
I'm proud of the fact that it was me who told 'em the "trivia" about Scott Young, a now deceased, very famous sports writer from Canada, who is only listed on IMDB for a fleeting cameo in the Canadian ice hockey movie called Face-Off. He was also Neil Young's Dad.
If you do a "wish" list, Chris comes up as both Chris Marquette & Christopher Marquette. Poor TiVo doesn't realize that its the same dude :grovel:
I got to meet Nick Cassavetes because of it.
To me, he'll always be Packard Walsh from The Wraith, and the director of the very sweet The Notebook.
I bet he's a cool guy. His Mom is very cool, and so was his Dad.
Hiya, Leesey ! I am Shell
For the record, I don't think that Jim Sturgess and I are related. My surname is "Sturges," with only one s.
Across The Universe star Jim Sturgess has his fingers crossed for the struggling Spider-man musical - because he was involved in the project at the beginning and insists it will be a great show.
The Brit has long been the favourite to play director Julie Taymor's superhero, opposite his Across The Universe co-star Evan Rachel Wood, but he insists he won't be suiting up to belt out songs composed by U2's The Edge and Bono - but he'd still love to see the production.
He says, "I was never involved. I did a workshop to help out but I was never involved in the final production. It would be unfortunate if it doesn't work out."
Producers insist the show will go on, despite financial issues, but reports suggest Wood is looking for film work after being released from her Spider-Man contract.
Jason's basically a good soul, I think. He's very easily lead around by the nose, obviously, but he almost always means well. I can't remember the actor's name who plays Godric, Allan something. I'm not interested in him. I just want pics of Godric. A shirtless one, preferably! I really wanna see his tats, don't you???
Barenaked Lady Ed Robertson has lots of tats, and is dead handsome:
Yeah, they do. I've been through it all before, I know how it works. Took me a year and a half to find this job after Citizens closed up their Atlanta shop. But I had money to live on then. Now, I have nothing. Zero. Zilch. Nada.
That sucks, Deb, but we can relate. I think that a lot of people can relate.
Well, that's pretty cool, but what are they doing, just sticking him in at the end to set up a sequel?
Wasn't he awesome on Maher? I watched it twice. He was just very funny, I thought. I hope Bill can get him on the panel someday.
I read that the producers saw the finished cut & were not impressed, hence air-lifting BP into the film in an attempt to save it, possibly :clueless:
I was wondering why BP was sporting a beard when he was on Real Time the other night. He apparently is being added to the Guy Ritchie take on Sherlock Holmes, playing Moriarity.

So, nobody else cries watching TWOZ ? Am I too sensitive ? :crying:
I also get choked up in Star Wars, when C3P0 inquires as to the status of the wounded Artoo Detoo after the final battle.

Oops! I got confused with "Somewhere In Time". Which I also loved, starring Christopher Reeve & Jane Seymour.
That one also makes me cry. Then again, I cry watching The Wizard of Oz.
You're thinking of Somewhere In Time.
I'm glad to hear that the movie is good! I just LOVED the book and have been dying to see it, but wanted to wait until the crowds went down. I was afraid that they'd make some parts too rough, like the mother's death. I know that some reviewers have made a lot of a supposed ick factor with Henry appearing naked in front of the little girl, but I can't believe they didn't handle it well.
As for "Time After Time", it always made me cry. I haven't seen it since CR died, so I'm sure next time I see it it'll make me blubber like a baby to see him so young and healthy. And beautiful. That movie always made me want to visit that hotel on Mackinac Island, but I never have.
CR ?
