Just teasin'.  I'm a looooooong time Mary fan.  I fell in love with her and her husband (at the time), Malcolm McDowell when I first saw Time After Time on cable in 1980.  Yeah, I'm that old.  lol

They had cable in 1980?

^I thought it was well done. Then again, I don't know German. Btw, I'm really getting into this show now.

LOL!  You don't have to remind anyone on this board who Mary is.  wink

Why were you surprised to see her in the movie?  Or that she was good?

I just wasn't expecting it. I wasn't surprised she was good. She's always good. smile I actually saw her before I saw JoA. I recognized her from Back to the Future 3. Another great movie.

I saw the Proposal with my parents the other day and was surprised to see Mary (the mother on JoA) in the movie. She did good in it. It was a pretty funny movie as well.

I taped it so I started watching it again last night and it seemed to flow better for me. There were some scenes that really didn't click when I watched it the first time. None of the characters are really interesting yet though, but it's still a promising concept.

If LOST frustrates you, I can understand why you wouldn't like it though.

It's a new sci-fi show on ABC. The pilot aired last night and I wanted to get some your opinions on it. I wasn't really feeling any of the characters myself yet. It kinda felt as if they forced too many characters on us at once. It was a bit hard to follow.

I did however feel that the plot was nicely done and I'm quite intrigued by the idea of everyone on the planet blacking out and having these visions for 2 minutes and 17 seconds. I'm also curious to learn more about this mystery figure that was awake during all of this.

Overall, I'm impressed by certain elements but I hope the characters work out better as the show progresses. I'll continue to tune in for a while at least.

Did anyone else watch it?

Bummer. Well I don't blame her. It's not a very exciting state.

If she ever comes to Michigan, someone let me know.

People who say they like the heat do mainly because they don't like the alternative. I wouldn't say I'm a big fan of the heat myself, but after going through the winter months, I gladly embrace it.

I wonder what the deal is with Vanessa Hudgens. She has a basically squeaky clean image, but still sees fit to have naked pictures of herself "leaked" online.

I don't know why she's being blamed for the pictures leaking. Granted she shouldn't have taken them in the first place but nobody's perfect and they were meant to be private. I'm not really a huge Vanessa Hudgens fan but I still think it's a little unfair the way the public targets her and others whenever they mess up.

So what did you think of the finale of JOA, poweranimals?

I really enjoyed it. The Ryan Hunter character was an interesting addition and I was intrigued by his influence on the show. I was a little annoyed however knowing that there would be no resolution to any of it but it was still enjoyable nonetheless. I'm feeling a little bitter that they canceled it. At least it's fall season so there should be a few shows to fill the void.

On a curious and sort of related note, is anyone planning on watching "Flash Forward" on ABC? It's supposed to be a sci-fi show about people who after an incident start having visions of the future. It sounds kind of interesting.

Thanks for the welcome. I only have one episode left of the series. I'm looking forward to it but at the same time disappointed that it'll soon be over for me. I guess I'll have to be content with following the actors' future roles. I didn't realize they had done so many projects. Though I'll admit I've never heard of most of those projects.

At the end of this episode, does anyone know what Joan and Adam say to each other in the last scene? My DVD is scratched which made it skip past a chunk of their conversation. Thanks in advance.

I pretty recently got into JoA after watching a few episodes on Sci-Fi or Sy-Fy as is it's called now. I was intrigued by it and started getting the DVDs from the library. Somehow I drifted here after posting on the IMDB board for JoA and was invited. I'm in the process of watching the last few episodes now. The last one I saw was "Spring Cleaning". I found myself rather annoyed by the Trial and Error debacle which is what caused me to post on IMDB.

Anyway, I just figured I'd drop and say, "hey" since I was invited. I'm not obsessed but I rather like the show. I'm a guy, btw - and I am straight just in case anyone was wondering. So yeah that's pretty much it. Maybe I'll stick around for a bit.
