That's great, Maria, especially the minute accounts. That'll make it easier to find Chris, cause I'm not sure I really wanna watch the whole thing. Stay tuned, I'm not sure when I can do the vidcaps and screencaps and stuff. Certainly not tonight.

I think Chris guest starred in one episode. Found this on Twitter:

I watched Hawaii Five 0 S03E05 "Mohai (Offering)" #H50 @HawaiiFive0CBS Chris Marquette (Adam Rove) from Joan of Arcadia!

Will have to check that episode out then, cause I don't watch the show.

Just some friendly advice: If you order at MovieTyme via PayPal, make sure you click the "Back to MovieTyme" link on your PayPal page, otherwise the order won't go through and you'll pay money for something they don't know they should be sending you. Happened to me the first time. They refunded the money, but it was still kind of a nuisance.

Yeah, I can order from the US directly, but for anything over 22 EUR (incl. shipping), you have to pay an extra ~20% customs fees and import taxes. And I'd prefer if I could somehow avoid that without having to use a middleman in the US...

Oh, and you can actually get a credit card for free if you look around and pay attention to the fine print (like hiden fees when you pay in other currencies than Euro, etc.). I found this article from 2009 that had some good tips: http://www.preisjaeger.de/6168/fact-kom … ditkarten/ If you google 'kostenlose kreditkarte', there's tons more info. I think the Norisbank also offers one, but I don't know their conditions. If you really wanted one, I'm sure you could find something that works for you.

Also, if you order at movietyme.com, you can pay with PayPal, but they ship from the US, so customs fees may apply, like I already said.

It's a video game turned into a horror movie. I've not played any of the games, but the first movie was just the right kind of atmospheric and scary. It's not the splatter kind of horror movie, more the psychologically scary one. I mean, there is blood too, but I thought it wasn't overdone.

I'm gonna watch that one too, but it's only released in Germany at the end of November. So no spoilers, please. smile

That's great news! Though I guess I'm gonna have to wait for the DVD for that one. Kinda sucks that my US DVD import shop has gone bankrupt, so it's just a little more difficult for me to order the rarer stuff now. Let's cross fingers I'll be able to lay my hands on it somehow.

Off to Lithuania tomorrow morning. I'm gonna be back on Wednesday night. It's a business trip, and the weather isn't supposed to be great there (plus really cold), so please refrain from wishing me to have fun. tongue

Am I being weird when I say I find that picture almost repulsive? I dunno, I've never been a fan of muscly people. I mean, a well-toned body is great, but it shouldn't look unnatural. And that certainly does.

Yeah, me neither. Last guest stars I had were Outerbridge and Austin Basis (in the same dream, strangely enough). Well, they're on the same TV show right now, but still...

Hehe, I found a voice work sample for Sean Marquette in the voicebank database. Looks like he's done a bunch of radio commercials. Nothing listed for Chris, though.

Uhm, Game of Thrones is not a new 2012 show, is it? Or am I missing something? I've heard a lot of great things about it from lots of friends. Keep nagging, maybe I'll watch it some day (just like Fringe).

Oh yeah, I was trying to remember where I knew him (Monroe) from, and I still haven't figured it out (and I'm too lazy to look it up now).

Also, not to rain on anyone's parade, but this made me smile and it echoes my sentiments. smile

But do let me know if you liked Elementary. It's not like I can't understand where you're coming from. Cause, you know, I keep watching the Being Human remake mainly for the cast -- something that most of the UK version fans despise people like me for. tongue

#245 Re: Square Eyes » The 2012/2013 fall season » 23 Sep 12 :: 18:02

One of the things that put me off most about Revolution was that totally over the top fight scene where Billy Burke single-handedly slaughtered what felt like 50 militia guys. That was so overdone, and I actually groaned when I watched it. But I'm going to give the second episode a shot before I make a final judgment on whether to keep watching or not.

#246 Re: Square Eyes » The 2012/2013 fall season » 22 Sep 12 :: 23:19

I like Sherlock way too much to even want to consider watching Elementary. And there's no one in the cast who especially caught my interest, so I'm gonna give that one a wide berth just out of principle. I'm gonna have to look into what Nashville and Last Resort are about.

I also watched Political Animals, the 6-ep miniseries on USA that aired earlier this summer. I'm not into TV shows about political intrigue, but with Sebastian Stan, Sigourney Weaver and Ciaran Hinds, I knew I had to give it a try. And surprisingly, I really liked it! Ciaran's character had the best lines!

So, what new shows are you guys looking forward to? I gave the pilot of Revolution 2012 a shot tonight, but I gotta say I wasn't particularly impressed. There was nothing original about it. Seemed like a tender-cooked mixture of FlashForward and Falling Skies. Because I like Billy Burke, I'm gonna watch the second episode before I decide whether to give this one a pass or not. My prediction is that it won't last more than one season anyway.

I will also be watching the pilot of The CW's Beauty and the Beast reboot, but only for the fact that Peter Outerbridge is in it. There was something else about firemen that I was going to check out, I think it was called Chicago Fire. Not that I expect much from that one, but I've always had a thing for those kinds of shows. So let's see.

I don't have much experience with sleep meds, but have you tried Benadryl? It's usually sold OTC as an antihistamine, but it also makes you sleepy. In Germany it's actually not used as antihistamine anymore, only as sleeping pill.

I fixed the links above. The bw pic is still in his IMDb photo gallery, unless you mean a different one... It's the one where he's crossing a street. I like that one too, but for an IMDb headshot, it was too little face and too much scenery. You could hardly tell it was him from the thumbnail avatar.
