#251 Re: Joan of Arcadia » Did God Set Adam Up To Fall? » 14 Feb 07 :: 09:27

Interesting question, it's hard because I have to juggle the universe of the programme with my own personal beliefs here.

Did God dangle Bonnie and the prospect of sex in front of him? If Adam was going to do it with Bonnie I think that even if Bonnie hadn't of been there, Adam would've done it with someone else or even still Bonnie at a later point, she went to Arcadia High so them meeting is a distinct possibility. If God was trying to put Adam and Bonnie together, then I think it would've been because he was trying to speed up something that was inevitable with their current relations, rather than seeing it being prolonged.

Although I'm not entirely convinced that "God's point" had anything at all to do with Adam and Bonnie, they were merely a consequence of other actions.

Sorry it's a muddly answer but I gotta go and watch Lost. I'll be back later.

Oh - I just wanted to mention that I saw the dvd of american gun for hire at my local vid store the other day. I really did not expect it to come over here, so it's nice to see that it did. smile

Okay, so I guess this site is officially dead. I went there today to see if it was still going and saw this:
"Notice: This domain name expired on 01/11/07 and is pending renewal or deletion"

I doubt it'll be renewed so looks like that's the end of it.

#255 Re: All About Chris » Chris at the FX Show in Orlando, FL » 05 Feb 07 :: 02:14

Great transcript, I read it last night before I went to bed. No Chris dreams tho...:/ Nevermind, it's always good to hear what he has to say. Good job Deb, you're quite a natural with the interview thing, eh?

#256 Re: Chris On Screen » Graduation » 02 Feb 07 :: 11:44

Watched the trailer, it looks very cool, and yeah - green hair big_smile
And it's probably best for me it goes straight to dvd anyway, might be able to get it quicker.

#257 Re: All About Chris » Chris at the FX Show in Orlando, FL » 01 Feb 07 :: 01:07

BTW, there was a great little Heroes/Fanboys mini-moment when Hayden Panettiere got up from her place at the autograph table during a lull and went over and wrapped herself around Chris from behind, hugging on him like she just adored him.  It was so cute!  I tried to get a pic, but didn't manage.

hehe, that's cute. Heroes is my favourite tv show right about now.

#258 Re: All About Chris » Chris at the FX Show in Orlando, FL » 31 Jan 07 :: 00:45

My favorite moment was when Sam said he made more friends on this movie than anything he's ever done.  Chris just kind of wrapped himself around Sam and wouldn't let go for a comically long time

lol Chris sounds like he's a lot like I'd have imagined him to be.

Wow!

You guys sure know how to meet Chris huh? Sounds awesome. big_smile

#261 Re: Introduce Yourself » Hellllooooo!!!! » 27 Jan 07 :: 00:16

Hi Taylor.

You like Stand By Me, huh? I have to agree that it's an awesome movie, I studied it in English class a couple of years ago. smile

#263 Re: Fanart » Wallpapers » 24 Jan 07 :: 08:52

I like your wallpapers, I've tried making wallpapers, but I'm quite inept at it. I can never get a smooth cut around things.

I just like how he calls her baby in the first fantasy. Sigh.

Tell me about it! Some guys can say "baby" and it just sounds soooo...good. He's definately one of them.

#264 Re: Chris On Screen » Alpha Dog (STRONG LANGUAGE & ADULT CONTENT) » 24 Jan 07 :: 08:47

Good on ya Deb. smile

Some of that stuff goes for some insane bids. yikes

#266 Re: All About Chris » If The Dorquettes Made Chris's Demo Reel, It Would Have To Include... » 21 Jan 07 :: 05:34

Wow, that's a very impressive collection. He's too good isn't he? I mean, I know he's a brilliant actor, but seeing all those clips, one after the other - it blows you away.

#267 Re: All About Chris » If The Dorquettes Made Chris's Demo Reel, It Would Have To Include... » 20 Jan 07 :: 01:25

I'll start downloading it now. It's going to take awhile though - my connection speeds are crap. Stupid telecom.

#268 Re: Introduce Yourself » Hi Everyone » 19 Jan 07 :: 03:31

Hi London. smile New York always seemed like an awesome city to me, just the energy. Quite different from any place here in New Zealand, anyway.

#269 Re: Chris On Screen » Nick Cassavetes' Going After Cacciato » 19 Jan 07 :: 03:22

I'm not into guts and gore either. And I know what you mean about the US patriotism thing TeeJay, there just seems to be to much emphasis on American troops coming in and 'saving the day' in American war movies. But this one sounds like it could be better than your average blood and guts fest. But then again, I don't have that much information on it.

#270 Re: Chris On Screen » Nick Cassavetes' Going After Cacciato » 18 Jan 07 :: 10:20

War movies aren't actually the type of movies I go out of my way to see, that's for sure. But, look on the upside, this has the potential to have lots of hot Chris in it. Uniform. Need I say more?

#271 Re: Square Eyes » Roswell » 18 Jan 07 :: 10:14

You shouldn't get me started on Roswell. I could go on forever, I frequently do. Roswell surpasses Joan of Arcadia and is my all time favourite show. smile

Shipper wise, I've always been first and foremost Michael and Maria. Michael's my fav character, although, they are all great (with the exception of Jesse, who's okay, but NOT with Isabel). Interestingly enough, the ship I am into most from any tv/movie is Michael and Maria, however I kinda like the cliffhanger stuff too. Not sure why, usually I don't ship conflicting couples, but although I'm a huge Candy shipper, I also am a tiny bit of a Cliffhanegr shipper. Woah, a lot of times to use the word 'ship' in one paragraph.

Of course, I love Max and Liz, their love is the crux of the show. And Isabel and Alex, and Tess and Kyle. I used to hate Tess with a passion when I watched Roswell on Tv, but rewatching the dvds, I came to kind of like her. Which is weird, because, like I said, I used to hate her avidly. I do not, under any circumstances like Tess and Max, though.

#272 Re: Joan of Arcadia » All time favorite scene » 18 Jan 07 :: 10:00

I've been trying to think about this - all time favourite scene. It's hard to only pic one. But I can give you a few of my top scenes from the 2 seasons:

Almost every scene in Jump is noteworthy. But especially Grace talking to Joan about Adam and how he used to be. The science fair, of course. And most of all the reading of Adam's mother's letter.
Grace & Luke's kiss in Silence.
Joan & Adam's kiss in Do The Math. That was really sweet.
Grace & Adam's talk in the science closet in Shadows and Light. I love any scene between Grace & Adam basically, I love their friendship, as understated as it is they mean a lot to each other. This is also why I love Common Thread.
Trial & Error, as tragic as it is, I do love this episode. I love several Adam scenes, like the one when he's at Bonnie's then goes out in the hallway and just leans against the wall. - What can I say, I love the way he leans (My So Called Life, anybody?).
I love the final ever scene in SWTWC, Joan glances back at her "army". Damn, it could have been great.

Obviously that's a lot of scenes, but I can't just give ya one.There's too many that rock.

#274 Re: Chris On Screen » Alpha Dog (STRONG LANGUAGE & ADULT CONTENT) » 06 Jan 07 :: 09:50

Great pictures! His look is more grown up. I'll forever be fond of his longer adam hair, but this 'do works too.

I watched the clip... yeah. Deb said it about how he's standing holding onto the girl. Yep.... very nice indeed.

I wish Justin Timberlake would move over a bit and stop blocking Chris. He may be the bigger "star", but I'd much rather see Chris. smile

#275 Re: Joan of Arcadia » JoA season two on DVD » 05 Jan 07 :: 03:05

Woohoo, I just got my dvds today. I tell ya, amazon are getting slower and slower with their deliveries. But never mind, they're here now in my hot little hands. I went directly to the extras, the table read was pretty cool, wish they'd do more extras like that on other tv shows dvds.
