I just realized that the new USA show, Political Animals, features three of Chris's previous co-stars: Carla Gugino and Ciaran Hinds from Race to Witch Mountain, and Sebastian Stan from The Education of Charlie Banks. I watched the pilot today, and while I can't say I'm even remotely into polititcs and especially political intrigue, I might just keep watching this one. Let's see where they take it.

It's the upgrade of the message board software, unfortunately. It's kinda hard to explain, but the message board started from the bottom again and now you have to move up through the ranks. But since you're already over 2,000, I think you just need to post once to move up. So if you make a few more posts, you should be back to your old rank again. Sorry about that. I don't like this new system either, but there's nothing I can do about it. (It's also weird that I can't log in to the MB on my work computer anymore... Which is really inconvenient, but I have no idea how to fix it.)

And you're very welcome for all the cool stuff. I'm just happy we're seeing more of Chris these days! Now I just wish he was tweeting more!

It sounds a little bit like Falling Skies in movie format. smile Interesting, though.

Argh, I'm working on this 30,000+ word ReGenesis story that I've been fiddling with since December last year. Of course there's no rule out there that says you can't write more than one story at a time, but I can't say I feel terribly inspired right now. I'll keep it in mind, though. Should be a really cool exercise, to write for something that not in a million years anyone would write fanfic for. The challenge is on!

Too bad our weekly live writing sessions have kind of stopped. Otherwise I would definitely have put this on the list of "fandoms" to write for.

I think Dom is the only one who's in every episode. But it's just at the beginning, and hardly worth squeeing over, it seems. Also, Chris's character died... But, yeah, wouldn't it be nice to see Chris as a regular on a TV show again?

Yeah, lovely surprise indeed! Though somehow it interfered with all the other stuff I had planned for today. I'm not complaining, though. tongue

#285 Re: Chris On Screen » The Unknown - Online Webisode » 15 Jul 12 :: 22:56

Yeah, he reminded me a little of Noah Wyle in those scenes where he wears the facial scruff. It's probably the dark hair and dark eyes... Screencaps are now up, I did sit down and work through them. Quality isn't super great, but it's the best I could do with the resolution of the video file. I don't get why they don't offer this in HD.

#286 Re: Chris On Screen » The Unknown - Online Webisode » 15 Jul 12 :: 19:43

Now tell me this is not how a total BAMF Chris Marquette role looks like:

TheUnknown_1x04.jpg

Unfortunately, since this plays mostly in a prison, the majority of the other caps aren't as good and are also much darker, so don't get too excited. I'm not sure I can go through the rest of the caps today because I have tons of chores left to do. But I'll try, all right?

#287 Re: Chris On Screen » The Unknown - Online Webisode » 15 Jul 12 :: 19:05

So, this is what I found out this afternoon. It's not a fall TV show. It's actually a minisode produced to be shown exclusively online for something called Crackle TV. And it was put online this Friday, so it's freely accessible. To US residents, that is. And here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rv7I8t1ryMQ

As I already said, you can only watch it from a US IP address. Meaning people outside the US can't watch it (unless they know how to circumvent the IP restriction).

So what is this episode all about? I'd classify it as horror/fantasy, and I absolutely loved it. Chris totally rocks this one. He's one of the two main guys, and he's awesome (and hot -- when he doesn't get bashed in the face, that is).

I made a whole lot of screencaps, which I'm gonna sort through later today. Stay tuned for some really lovely Chris goodness! And, man, it was high time for something like this to come along. Finally something new where we can revel in all the goodness that is Chris Marquette!!

PS: You remember the photo with the make-up where his face is all beat up that he used on Twitter for a while? I'm pretty sure it's from this project.

Okay, guys, skip this post cause I was writing this as I found things out. Take a look at my next post cause it's gonna have all the pertinent details and I didn't want to delete my initial post. smile

I did find this:

“LOST” star Dominic Monaghan has just signed on to play a part in the new Crackle TV series “The Unknown.” Dominic will be the narrator of each episode of the horror-thriller show.

The show is about a blogger (Dominic) who writes about unexplained phenomena, which will play out during each episode. Spooky!

Crackle TV, eh? That's a web-based thing, wikipedia tells me. And it looks like it's not available outside of the US. Awesome. (Not.)

Crackle (formerly known as Grouper) is a digital network and studio, featuring commercially supported streaming video content in Flash Video format. It is owned by Sony Pictures Entertainment, and its content consists primarily of Sony's library of films and television shows. Crackle provides its content through a web syndication network, including YouTube, Hulu, AOL, MySpace, and mobile service providers.

Wait, they already have some episodes online: http://www.youtube.com/show/theunknown?s=1 Though even by using ProxTube, they're not paying for me. Gaaah, this sucks! I think this is the URL to Chris's episode: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rv7I8t1ryMQ

PS: I asked a friend of mine with a US IP address to see if she could download it. She can watch it, but you can't download it. And she's tried all the tricks in the book. Looks like they know how to protect their stuff. Guess all the non-US folks will have to sit this one out. sad

UPDATE: I remembered I had something called Hotspot Shield installed, which masks your IP address. With that running, I managed to watch the video. Guys, Chris totally rocks this one. He's all over this thing. Man, you all need to install Hotspot Shield and watch it. I made tons of screencaps too. Let me sort through them. They're not terribly hi-res but okay. Stay tuned!

Have you seen the stills with Scott from the episode?

preview-1_595_watermark.jpg

And here's a very frowny one of Outerbridge. I was gonna take an educated guess and say his character has a gambling problem. And a wild guess to say Scott is the one he owes money to.

Deb, to rehash the topic of Scott Grimes and Peter Outerbridge on Suits, it just so happens they're guest-starring in the same episode. And don't let IMDb fool you, because it lies. It lists both Outerbridge and Grimes to guest on episode 2x05 (which airs next week), but someone obviously got confused because there was no episode the week of 4th July, so everything got moved out a week.

Scott and Peter will guest star in 2x06 'All In', which airs July 26. And I'm 95% sure of this because a) stills released by USA clearly indicate it's episode 2x06, b) I watched the promo for 2x05 and it's all about the lawsuit against Harvey and nothing about a friend with a gambling problem (which I'm assuming will be the A story for Outerbridge's episode) and c) they'd be stupid to have Outerbridge and Grimes guest star and not use them in the promo since they should attract some viewers.

And, yes, I already submitted a correction request to IMDb for Outerbridge's credit. Let's hope they're not too slow on the uptake.

Can I just say I'm loving the second season of Fallling Skies so far? Two friends of mine stopped watching it because they said it was too gloomy, too patriotic and even misogynistic. They might be right, but somehow I have no trouble looking past that and just enjoy it for what it is. Plus, Noah Wyle is just a joy to watch, even in clothes that look like they really smell bad. smile

#292 Re: Chris On Screen » The Odd Way Home » 10 Jul 12 :: 18:54

A blurb about the movie was posted now on Variety today. And there it says: Marquette is repped by UTA. Guess that means it's still Shani, right? And also... looks like this is a lead role. And if that's the case, he's gonna play a man with autism. That should be interesting!

I meant to post something earlier, but time got away from me. I'm leaving for Austria tomorrow morning on a 2 week vacation. Not sure if I'm gonna have internet. I know there's none at the house, but I'm gonna look into mobile options. Still, I might be off the grid for the next 14 days.

Be good and behave while I'm gone. smile
