AHHHHHHHHH Hehehe ok so the third time lucky!!! I got to see KissChasy play again They were also playing with Oh Mercy, Whitley, and Blue Juice (all Aussie bands) This was at my old uni and it was only 30 bucks SOOOO cheap! Anyway I had an absolute ball! And because it was smaller and more intimate it was FANTASTIC. Also this time I got to meet all 4 members! 
:D:D They are all such nice guys too which is always a good thing. They all signed my cd and took photos with me. But Sean was the best. I spoke to him for like 15 mins while he was having a beer. I most definitely have a "movie star crush" on this guy now. :drool: Hehehe sorry about all the faces but I am feeling like an excited 15 year old girl. I will post the photos later. Just thought I would ramble my excitement!

Haha at least you guys are winter orientated enough that you can watch your countries win. Australians have no real idea. They are showing us qualify cos thats all we are really doing at the moment. Though I really should mention Dale Begg-Smith (was Canadian anyway HAHA) won silver and that was touted enough. Thank god for Torah Bright winning gold. HAHAHA Though my favourite olympian is still from last winter olympics, Steven Bradbury. HAHAHA Our first winter gold medal and he only won because he was coming last enough in the final that when everyone in front of him fell over he was able to avoid them. Makes me smile. AND it created a catch phrase "do a Bradbury" where you win because everyone else stuffs up!

Hahaha yeah. They had a spot on the sports section of the news here discussing the superbowl and the extravagant cost of the advertising and then played that and my jaw dropped. It is a rather funny ad and Sean is rather SHEXY in it

Ok so just got back, 10 mates and I hired a bus and drove up to Sydney from Melbourne to go see the Big Day Out music festival. It was unbelievable and amazing and WHOA one of the best experiences of my life. So many amazing bands. I did end up missing some because of the logistics (2 bands playing 2 different stages at the same time) but I am so so happy to have experienced what I did. Spent most of the day at the double main stage. 40 degree heat, had security spray hoses into the crowd in attempt to cool people off. I was so so close to so many bands that I absolutely love.
In order of seeing them: Blue Juice, Karnivool, KissChasy, Kasabian, Eskimo Joe, Hilltop Hoods, Dizzee Rascal, Lily Allen, The Mars Volta, Powderfinger, Muse, Fear Factory.

I am now jumping on this band wagon. I do claim to like the heat, but this is getting ridiculous. I like my heat to be gone overnight so I can sleep. A house without air con is no fun in summer.

Seeing as though there is alot of mention of weather at the moment I thought I would add my two cents in. Today is the hottest so far for this year. Thank god for air con at work. The predicted top is 43C or 109.4F (according to the website). It was already over 41C or over 105F by midday. You guys are all stuck in snow and its sweltering down here!
P.S. I just realised after I posted that yes its only been 11 days so far this year! Well I am fairly sure its the hottest since last summer anyway....

WHOOOOOOOOOOA! Hahaha we really dont have proper winters here in Australia. I have only ever seen snow twice! Both times I had to drive like 6 hours to go up the mountain to find it too, and it was still only like -4 degrees C or 25F. We have been seeing the US and the UK on tv lately showing all these people stuck in the snow. Flights grounded and trains, buses not working. Kinda scary considering I wanna be over in Europe this time next year.

I find it amusing that I would have been one of the first to celebrate the new year from this board. Time zones and such...It was really alot of fun. Just had a relative quiet one. Few beers with mates and bedtime by about 3. So I would have carked it before most of you had even started the countdown haha. Been a very lazy weekend. Enjoying it thoroughly...sorry to hear others havent had such a good time, hope it all picks up for you all in the new year *cuddles, kisses and love to everyone*
