Cute li'l dorky horndog in plastic.
Sounds like something you'd buy at Kwik-E-Mart.

Glad you liked Children of Men, Deb!
I took Jacen out to the dollar theater last night to see 'Surf's Up'. Guess who does the lead character's voice? It rhymes with 'Chia'. :doh:

I remember when I used to be a cute li'l horndog....ah the memories.....:dancing:

Hey there Noah-Welcome to the site!
Good to see another guy on the boards. Sometimes I feel so alone over here and they do bad .....bad.... things to me...when no one is looking

Hey Deb--I don't have HBO :crying:

I'm probably gonna have to wait for it to come out on DVD. I'm anxious to check it out since I'm hearing/reading a lot of good things about it.

Children of Men wasn't too shabby. Had a cool storyline but could've been better in my opinion(I heard it's better upon a second viewing)-- but there were some really cool parts in it. Tina's right, very dark and depressing. Watch the special features after the film. They talk about some of the filming techniques they used which was very interesting and supposedly 'new'. There's one particular scene in the movie that's one long 10+ minute shot of action, dialogue, fighting, etc that's really impressive. You'll see what I mean(When they're in the car) ...

Okay, I got to watch this last night...Without a doubt, it's definitely a modern-day telling of "Rear Window", though I don't recall seeing anywhere that this was being labeled as a re-make. It's worth a rental if you have nothing better to do, even though it is incredibly predictable.
    With that being said, it was still entertaining and I am quickly gaining respect for Shia as one of the better younger actors of today. Don't worry, I still like Chris and Sam better! tongue

Nice.

We had permission, I swear. big_smile

We were pretty much given free reign inside the set once shooting had concluded, so we grabbed things that we thought looked/or sounded cool. I just figured that the windows from Lucas' prop room would be a cool thing to grab. So I climbed up on a ladder and took them down from there. I was actually going to use them as windows in my computer room, but then I moved and they won't fit in the new house's windows. big_smile
Wait til ya see some of the other stuff I grabbed.

#289 Re: Square Eyes » Disturbia » 07 Aug 07 :: 07:28

I haven't heard much about it, but I think it's worth checking out. I saw the trailer and it reminded me a little of "Rear Window". One of my favorite Hitchcock movies. I'll rent it tomorrow and hopefully watch it by this weekend.

Okay, due to their size, these were the most accessible props I have, so I didn't have to do much digging through my storage.
I have 5 of the "stained" glass windows that were used in the Lucasfilm Archives room.
Here's a pic of four of them:

You can't really see them that well in the photo below(Hehe Windows and windows), but these are the guys. big_smile

Not one bit.
They are some of the most down to earth people you'll ever meet. I think  the interviewer was a lil wacky and the guys were just making the best out of the situation

#292 Re: Chris On Screen » Fanboys » 06 Aug 07 :: 21:40

You're very welcome!
I Wish I had more stuff to share, but I'm pretty much in the same boat now as everyone else. Eagerly waiting for the release date!

Maybe I'll take and share some pics of the props we were able to get ahold of once I go through my storage. big_smile

Remember to take off your earrings, Hoops, before entering security!!

#294 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Road Trippin' » 03 Aug 07 :: 17:39

Have fun Hoops!
I was in NC two years ago. Very green and pretty there. We walked along the coast in Jacksonville and collected over 100 shark teeth one day, it was pretty awesome! Saw some 'gators in Wilmington too!

#295 Re: Chris On Screen » Fanboys » 03 Aug 07 :: 17:00

See, I'm good for something every once in awhile wink

#296 Re: Chris On Screen » Fanboys » 03 Aug 07 :: 07:35

He also plays a third role as one of the "Star Journey" aliens who is guarding the door to the convention hall as Sam and Chris try to enter. He's wearing a mask so it's hard to tell it's him, but this part is also in the trailer. smile

Lol. That's great.
I'm so easily amused. :silly:

Zauberstab

I know I'm being "Captain Obvious" here, but notice how it has the word, "stab" in it. lol
