Not sure if this is the appropriate place for this, but I guess it's as good as any, if the webmistress will allow. Michael Welch is 21 today!!! :applause:

Please stop by and wish him a happy birthday:

Or on IMDb if you don't have, can't have, or won't have a MySpace (I understand that not everyone does or can or wants to). If not on IMDb, I can pass your wishes on to him.

Jay Baruchel is becoming quite the indie darling (along with other folks we know). He seems to be everywhere.

That said, I just saw him in a big budget Hollywood movie -- Tropic Thunder -- on Tuesday night. It was produced, written, and stars Ben Stiller and is hilarious. Jay is awesome in it. It comes out in the US on August 13.

Confirming a date is one thing. Moving it is another. Dates are always subject to change, as you know. Think Alpha Dog...Mandy Lane...

Now, whether or not it actually comes out on that date is another story. but it IS confirmed. I just got off the phone with the distributor.

So...

1) Will it come out on that date? Dates are always subject to change.

2) Is it an officially confirmed date by the distributor? Yes.

Remember, you just said:

I just spoke with The Weinstein Company press office and they have confirmed to me the September 19 date.

I could be mistaken, but I don't think he's ever worn a wig for a role. He has definitely dyed his hair various colors (black, blue, platinum blonde, etc.).

Just caught the I'm Reed Fish posts.

Here are some pics I took at the World Premiere of I'm Reed Fish at the 2006 Tribeca Film Festival. Most of the cast & crew were there. The Q&A was freewheeling and fun, and they stayed to meet & greet the crowd.

It was one of my Top Picks from that festival but most of my reviews pre-September 2006 got lost when my site switched databases. That was before I was posting at a dozen places.

No, Larry, the OFFICIAL MySpace did nothing of the sort.  The BOGUS MySpace did.  TeeJay runs the official page and she's on vacation, without Internet access.  This is no confirmation of anything.  Sorry.  When it's official, we'll know.

Who runs the one on MySpace Film with the Weinstein graphics?

Anyway, I think you missed my point. My post was meant to be sarcastic. Hence the questionmark and remark about the timing of it, since you've had all this information posted here for days.

Regardless of who runs it, they're way behind.

It was meant as a compliment to you.

The film's official MySpace JUST posted this. Glad to see they're on top of things. tongue

They also sent out a bulletin confirming(?) a September release.

Thanks Larry.  It's a start.

My pleasure. Just let me know what else you need. Filming dates are usually available for movies and airdates for television. There are exceptions -- some films don't list them, especially older ones. IMDb only started tracking it a few years ago.

P.S. Coincidentally, Fanboys just requested me as a MySpace friend.

#313 Re: Square Eyes » Twilight (contains spoilers for all books and the movies) » 16 Jul 08 :: 18:12

Here are the dates as best as I can determine. There is a difference between movies and TV as far as what you can find out.

Most recent films have filming dates available. Television shows never release filming dates -- only air dates. There is really no way to determine when a particular television show was filmed other than asking the person (who probably doesn't remember anyway) or guessing based on past experience.

Here is the order of filming:

Strong Medicine -- Gunshot Wedding aired on August 21, 2005. I think it's safe to assume that it was shot prior to August 12.

Graduation
began filming on August 12, 2005.

Huff
--

Sweet Release aired April 16, 2006
Bethless aired June 4, 2006.
Tapping the Squid aired June 11, 2006.

The Education Of Charlie Banks
began filming on June 19, 2006.

What I want to do, for once and for all, is makes a list of the exact order that Chris shot all of his (grown-up) projects.  It's hard to tell the order in which things were shot when most of the movies take YEARS to come out.  We were recently trying to figure out the order of shooting of the following shows...

Huff
His final ep of Strong Medicine, Gun Shot Wedding
Graduation
The Education Of Charlie Banks

They all see to have been shot around the same time, starting right after Joan Of Arcadia ended in Spring 2005...

I'm literally on my way out the door to a screening of The Rocker, but I promise I'll get to this ASAP. smile

I'm a member. If you ever need details about any film just let me know. Depending on the film, you get dates for when it was optioned, script stage, pre-production, filming, post-production, completed, etc.

Yes, the best one is IMDb PRO.

The magazine is now available. It features a 9-page article on Twilight -- 6 on the books and 3 on the movie. Interestingly, in the book article, there is a blurb about the term Twihards. It doesn't mention Michael Welch by name but, of course, he is the one who came up with the term.

Here is a scanned image of the page with the blurb highlighted:

P.S. I tried to post the image but the board would not let me post either the thumbnail or the image of the large or the smaller picture. I tried all 4. I also tried ImageShack's alternate code, so I tried 8 different times. So here are the direct links.

Kristen Stewart = Cover Girl? Sure looks like it. She's also featured on the cover of the new issue of Vanity Fair. Inside the magazine, she confesses her love for boyfriend Michael Angarano (who is also featured among the 27 young stars of "future Hollywood"). At least that lays the rumors to rest.

Here are the pictures I shot on the red carpet:

http://www.pronetworks.org/forum/story103035.html

Also, it's looking more and more like an early 2009 release for Mandy Lane. Senator has confirmed that, at this point, their first release will be Fireflies in the Garden in November.

In yesterday's Hollywood Reporter, an article about Senator Entertainment's acquisition of Public Enemy No. 1 says this:

Senator will release its first movie, "Fireflies in the Garden," starring Julia Roberts and Ryan Reynolds, in November. The company also has "The Informers," "Splice," "Clock Tower" and "Unthinkable" in development.

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/con … s/e3i9a365 0f4bf2de29985c83f1bb122fa4b

Of course, the implication is that Mandy Lane will not be released before November. Some might assume they only said that because there is no set date yet. Fireflies is the first scheduled film to be released.

A source tells me, however, that early 2009 is more likely because a high profile release with the likes of Julia Roberts would put the company's name in a better position in launching their schedule.

It was a great week. Just between us, we got to spend a lot of time together over the course of several days and went to a couple of movies, out to lunch, dinner etc. The red carpet was excellent and he did a couple of interviews. One of them was streamed live on the LA Film Festival website that night. WireImage was there and posted a couple of pictures.

I have a new Nikon photo editing program which I never used until yesterday so it's taken me a bit longer to go through them but I hope to do that soon. I have 44 pics with him solo or in groups.

It was also the first time he'd seen the film. I'd actually seen it already, which was interesting. I was able to focus less on the film and my reactions to it and more on his. Mike was really moved by it and gave a fairly long speech during the Q&A in response to my question about what moved him the most.

Here's a link to the interview he did for MTV:

Michael walked the red carpet at the Hollywood Premiere of American Son at the Los Angeles Film Festival on Friday.

He also participated in the Q&A following the screening, along with the director and cast members including Nick Cannon, Melonie Diaz, and Matt O'Leary. Sean couldn't make it.

I was there and took pictures of both events which I'll post as soon as I can.

Haha that's cool. I like the way the cereal and milk are splashing out of the bowl as though the car just revved up and started flying down the track..."kids, don't try this at home."
