Cool. don't think it ever made it to the US,but then I might has just missed it.

by the way, am I ever going to become a Dorque?  (somehow that still doesn't sound good)

What is the Flying Doctors?  I haven't heard of it and the title suggests so many different possibilities.

Deb, did you see the diners drive-ins and dives where they went to Fab's Hot Dogs in Reseda CA?  It is less than a mile from my house(and I pass it almost every day), and I have never been there, and of course I missed the show about it(I have seen most of the episodes but not that one).  Wondering what he had there etc.

#306 Re: Joan of Arcadia » more Joan questions .... » 18 Nov 09 :: 19:36

if she even knows.  It always felt like they were making up those last couple of episodes as they went.  If they had been picked up for a 3rd season, they might have figured it out then.

#307 Re: All About Chris » 6 Degrees of Chris » 18 Nov 09 :: 05:02

Mary's father in There's something about Mary.  He was also a lead in The Thing, They Live.

I guess the good news about this is that they are releasing it some where, and that the production company still has interest in finding an audience for it.

That wouldn't change if they got rid of the ratings.  There would just be a lot more swearing and topless women in the same mindless action movies

#310 Re: Square Eyes » Misc Stuff » 12 Nov 09 :: 23:30

The ratings system is completely pointless, especially the PG-13 rating.  I remember a few years ago when my daughter was 7 or 8 there were 2 very different movies which received a PG-13 rating.  School of Rock which was completely appropriate for her (even though she was much younger than 13) and Hotel Rowanda which would have needlessly traumatised her.  (because she would have been horrified without the ability to learn from it).  In fact my son who was 13 at the time wouldn't have been able to process that movie correctly, so it really would have been inappropriate for him as well.

School of Rock recieved a PG-13 rating because it mentioned drug use (even though the 2 times it happened it was in a negative light) and was probably meant to discourage drug use in kids.

That is why I as a parent never used the ratings.  In fact, I don't know of any parents who used them.

It might be a dude, but it doesn't take a chick to know that isn't a good picture of him.  He looks heavy, and it doesn't represent his looks.

#312 Re: All About Chris » Miscellaneous Stuff » 10 Nov 09 :: 06:18

I noticed the picture the other day, and forgot to mention it.  It is quite possibly the worst picture of him I have seen.

#313 Re: Square Eyes » Favorite TV Series (not counting JOA) » 09 Nov 09 :: 17:57

#314 Re: Square Eyes » Favorite TV Series (not counting JOA) » 08 Nov 09 :: 03:52

And I forgot Kolchak, the Night Stalker

#315 Re: Square Eyes » Favorite TV Series (not counting JOA) » 08 Nov 09 :: 03:50

It's interesting how one episode can ruin a series for you.  St. elsewhere would of made my list except I hated the last episode sooo much it ruined the whole series for me.

what is Key West??
