My friend Steffi and I are still on the mission to rewatch all of of the X-Files. We've now made it to season 8, and today we watched Mikey's episode. He was just a kid then. Played a 7th grader who could see the weird Indian mystic dude who was hiding from everybody else. And he was kinda cute, with his high children's voice and scrawny frame. ![]()

I hope you find them to your liking. Took me a while to figure out how best to do the hi-res caps. And I must say, I had hoped they turned out better and easier to make, but, hey, you live and you learn, right? Still love Blu-rays. The quality on my 42" is amazing.

Screencaps and the vidcap from The Rite have been uploaded today.

And here's the screencaps: http://www.chris-marquette.com/gallery/ … ?album=248
And the vidcap: http://www.chris-marquette.com/media/vi … heRite.wmv

Sue me, cause I took this long to actually watch the movie. I finally did last night, though. And for the fact that exorcism is totally not my thing, I found it surprisingly good. Now I wish there was a way of making screencaps directly off the Blu-ray without ripping it first, but apparently the movie industry is so paranoid now that there's no software out there that let's you do it. So now I gotta rip 30 Gigs of movie to my hard drive for 2 minutes of Chris. Makes me wanna illegally download the damn thing just out of spite.
Anyway, bear with me while I sort out the technical shit. At least it should get us high-res caps out of it. If I can figure out how to rip it...

Sorry, I keep forgetting about them. Here's October, November and December:

Screencaps and vidcap of Sean Marquette's appearance on CSI: NY (episode 8x02) have now been added.
-TeeJay
Vidcap now here: http://www.chris-marquette.com/media/vi … Y_8x02.wmv

I've finally capped and uploaded the screencaps for Sean's CSI: NY episode. I'm gonna do the vidcaps later since I need to switch computers for that. And I'm sorry that I still haven't done the same with The Rite. I just can't seem to want to watch an exorcism movie, you know? But, well, maybe tonight.
Anyway, the Sean caps are here, in all their HD logo-free glory. ![]()

Apparently, Jason Behr is gonna be in an episode of Breakout Kings next season. \o/ Is it 2012 already? http://www.tvline.com/2011/10/breakout- … ason-behr/

Now I feel bad for admitting that I actually like my (Windows 7) laptop. I'm not anti-Mac per se, but I'm seeing Macs with a more critical eye. They may be excellent, but they're expensive and they have compatibility issues. Accessories are ridiculously expensive. And what's with not giving the iPad a USB port or any way to hook up an external storage device? Oh, wait, I know. Money-making! Cause people have to actually buy online hard drive space to store their stuff if the space the device offers isn't enough. I've successfully managed to avoid putting iTunes on any of my computers because it used to be un-intuitive (not that I've used it lately, but a colleague of mine only just recently complained about that very fact) and it was like the Borg of softwares because it kept integrating itself into wherever it could. I just don't like my computer to be taken over by stuff I don't need on there.
Anyway... yes, Steve Jobs was a darn genius and a very inspired man. But I heard also not especially nice to his employees, though that may just be a false rumor. At any rate, my heart goes out to the people he leaves behind.

I watched Sean's CSI:NY ep last night. Can't say I liked the overall episode plot too much, but seeing Sean was great. And we even got TDA out of it! When I get a minute (or 30), I'm gonna make caps and everything. I even got a friend from Poland to organize a logo-free HD version of the episode for us. Yay technology!
And I wish I could conjure up the right mood to watch The Rite so I can make caps from that as well. I have a huge pile of unwatched movies lying here, and there just never seems to be the right moment to watch them. *sigh*

I liked Terra Nova too, but not overly so. I will keep watching just to see what happens. It constantly reminded me of Avatar, only that they went back in time instead of to another planet. Didn't help that Stephen Lang plays the head honcho in both.
As to why they went back to dinosaur time, I think that's just the way this time rift worked. When it opened up, they didn't know where and when it would lead to. It's not like they can control to what time it leads, it just does. They sent that probe through that the daughter explains at some point, hoping to find it again in the future (or present, as it were) to examine the data it collected. And when they didn't find it, they realized the rift went to what they call another time stream. I guess it's kinda like an alternative universe. That's how they got round that tricky thing with the "changing history" paradox.
Also, I hope the show doesn't end up in man vs. (very CGI-looking) dinosaur fights in every episode. Cause I'm gonna get real bored with that real fast.
Other than that, I still gonna stick with A Gifted Man, Ringer and Unforgettable.
-TeeJay
Yay! Happy Birthday, Chris! I should post something on the front page.
-TeeJay
Sweet. I'm watching that show anyway, but I haven't seen the season premiere yet. Got too many shows to catch up with this week, but CSI:NY has now officially moved up the list. ![]()

Somewhere in the world, it's already Oct 01 (like, uhm... Germany!). So: Happy Birthday, Carol!!! :applause: :dancing:
-TeeJay
LOL! Yeah, I had seen that one before, but it's still great.
-TeeJay
It's not YouTube that sucks, it's the GEMA. They are blocking anything and everything that uses music that is copyrighted. And, yes, it does indeed suck. Very hugely big time.
-TeeJay
I watched:
Unforgettable - liked it a lot
Ringer - ditto
Person of Interest - didn't like it a lot, will not keep watching
I have yet to watch:
A Gifted Man
Terra Nova
Out of the summer shows this year, I thought Suits was excellent. I also watched Necessary Roughness, but Suits really was the better first season show I tried out this summer Of course White Collar, The Glades and Rizzoli & Isles are also still on my lits.
-TeeJay
I watched the Person of Interest pilot, and I have to say, it didn't do much for me. Don't think I'm gonna keep watching that one. I very much liked Ringer and Unforgettable. I haven't watched the A Gifted Man pilot yet. I think that's all the new fall shows I'm gonna give a try. Oh, wait, I had Terra Nova on the list too for next week.
-TeeJay
I feel the same way, Carol. I didn't like their last album much. Let's hope for better things on the new one. When We Stand Together is definitely a winner.
-TeeJay
Anne, I think you're gonna like this: www.nickelback.com ==> two new songs to listen to. Love the first one. New album in November. ![]()

We had a work sponsored Excel course a few weeks ago, and I found it really interesting. Excel can do so much, and I really didn't know how to use it for the longest time. Hope you find the course useful, Anne. Though, you know, there are office jobs out there that don't bore you to death. ![]()

Yeah, I'll bet, Deb.
I would have jumped at the chance too. I keep hoping he's gonna come to a German convention at some point, but for as long as Being Human US doesn't make it over here (if it ever does), fat chance. On an unrelated note, White Collar is finally gonna air on German TV. Tuesday at 10:15 PM. Hm...
