It's a week after my brothers birthday and the Charlie Bartlett dvd i bought him still hasn't arrived. lol

Good to see it expanding theater sizes, even if it isn't in the UK.

I love outtakes. Some can be very dissapointing, whilst some can be hilarious. The X Files 2 are definately funny.

#455 Re: Square Eyes » Post your recent DVD purchases » 25 Feb 09 :: 21:18

The outtakes are hilarious. I didn't know Gillian Anderson had a habit of swearing so much.

#456 Re: Square Eyes » Post your recent DVD purchases » 25 Feb 09 :: 20:59

Although the X Files 2 didn't get great reviews, i personally loved it and it was wonderful to have Mulder and Scully back.

#457 Re: Square Eyes » In Praise of Chris's Colleagues » 24 Feb 09 :: 23:33

Just watched Forgetting Sarah Marshall, which was hilarious. Kristen Bell look as lovely as she always does, but i've got a thing for Mila Kunis so i paid more attention to her. tongue:embarrassed:

I saw his speeches at both the Baftas and the Spirit Awards which were both hilarious. It's what i was anticipating the most before it started.

#459 Re: Square Eyes » Oscars Nominess (2008 films) » 23 Feb 09 :: 23:43

I was expecting Mickey Rourke to win and was soo looking foward to his speech, so i was very surprised that Sean Penn one. I havn't seen Milk yet but his acting in the short clips i've seen is amazing, and he was my second choice to win after Rourke.

I loved Hugh Jackman presenting, especially his musical montage. The pineapple Express action films sketch was hilarious too.

Remind me again, Simon, did you see the screening of Fanboys when you were at Celebration Europe?

No i didn't. I can remember the notices for it on the day i want, but it was so crowded and hectic that i never got into any of the presentations. Still just the experience of being there was enough to keep me happy, even if i sound super nerdy to whoever i talk to about it. tongue

#461 Re: Chris On Screen » Fanboys » 22 Feb 09 :: 18:02

It looks like a blast being there. It reminds me of when i went to Celebration Europe which was so fun just seeing all the costumes.

#462 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Randomness » 21 Feb 09 :: 12:31

Sorry to hear your cat. I had a cat when i lived in Germany and i can remember being absolutely devastated when i had to give up.

#463 Re: Chris On Screen » Fanboys » 21 Feb 09 :: 12:29

Something like that shouldn't be said about anyone, even if something isn't good or they are not liked.

#464 Re: Square Eyes » In Praise of Chris's Colleagues » 20 Feb 09 :: 23:07

According to /Film, the Legendary Pictures has a password protected listing and synopsis for Superman Unleashed. It mentions that it is a sequel to Superman Returns, which i hope remains a sequel and not a reboot. I loved the last film and i just hope that what route it goes, Sam Huntington remains part of the cast.

Out of those lot, i've only seen The Living Daylights (i'm an uber-bond fan, so that explains that one) and Superhero Movie (which i admit did enjoy and was a nice change to what Friedberg and Seltzer gives the audience).

I've never heard of Stop-Loss, but it does have an interesting cast.

#466 Re: Chris On Screen » Fanboys » 20 Feb 09 :: 01:49

Cool Poster. I like it a lot.

#467 Re: Square Eyes » In Praise of Chris's Colleagues » 18 Feb 09 :: 20:14

I've only seen Ray Wise in Jeepers Creepers II but he must have impressed me, because i still know who it is if someone mentions his name.

#468 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Randomness » 16 Feb 09 :: 18:09

That is a pretty cool video.

Only watched it again last week.

New features and a gag reel? Wow. I need a blu-ray player!

Just had a look at these. The Gag Reel is only for one scene, which is when Toni Collette is in the car with Steve Carell after picking him from the hospital. It's a minute and a half long but its quite amusing, as Toni Collette turns the film into one of those R rated romantic comedies.

It was also interesting seeing Paul Dano in his Sunshine costume and wearing glasses. They just did not go well together.

They are probably all official clips found on the disc.

#473 Re: Square Eyes » In Praise of Chris's Colleagues » 13 Feb 09 :: 20:05

He still looks young, but i was personally surprised at how much better his acting has become. He might not look 28 but he still acted as if he was 28 (in my opinion of course tongue.

Unfortunatley, i live in the land of the chavs. lol

Love that picture. Better keep an eye out for a rainbow next time.

I don't think this has been mentioned yet, but they have released a trailer for Gigantic, which stars Paul Dano. What is interesting is they use a piece of Little Miss Sunshine music in it, which of course also stars Dano.
