And you don't LOOK 49, either. You actually look like a young, handsome Groucho Marx.;)
Happy birthday, Shell! Hope you had a wondermous one. What day was it, so I don't miss it next year?
I'm particularly fond of this quote since there were questions posed as to why anyone would even want to make a movie about such an "obscure" band...
You REALLY need to get past that. I said I was sorry!
I remember an episode of "The Young Ones" where Rik thought one of his roommates was dead (trust me, it was VERY funny!). And he went around the house wailing, "Neil, Neil! Orange peel..."
WOW! You really know your classic films, Rick!:grovel: Amazing.
That's a tough one. I remember he was in something with Shelley Winters. I can't remember the name of it.

If somebody knows a better way, (or remembers the name of the Shelley Winters thing, this doesn't have to count.:embarrassed:
How about Sandy Dennis?
Very!
HA! Good one. I love Alice Ghostley.

EDIT: I know, I know! I could've skipped a step if I'd used Lucy-fer. But I try to forget that whole thing.
Richard Thomas
Mine where pulled before they came out. I'd just had my braces taken off, and the orthodontist said they'd push my teeth out of alignment if they didn't get them out of there. So they went in after them. All four. The horror!

Those are wonderful, TeeJay! Thanks for sharing.
Whoa! If you went thru that without going up in smoke, you're a good mom!
Oh, NO! Did the spiders help prepare you for that?
Never knew what? I don't see anything in Shell's first post except the picture?
I love the puppy vs. Vick picture! So cute. When I saw the penguins the first thing that flashed into my mind was, "ONNNNNE singular sensation..."

Yeah, and I sure hope Susan Sarandon isn't relagated to playing grannies for the rest of her career. She's a baby boomer, and they're always gonna be cool!:D
What a great show that was. So mishandled by the network. As I recall they made the show share a timeslot with "NYPD Blue". And hastened the cancellations of both. Another brilliant programming decision by one of the big 3, and why there is no big 3 anymore.
It's amazing what's happened to Evan Rachel Woods' career since O&A! I really thought Julia Whelan had a great future, too. Hopefully she'll land another great role someday.
I saw a trailer for "The Lovely Bones" today. Hope they don't mess that one up, too.
I know this is really trite, but the book is WAY better. Good movie, though. I missed Kimmy!
I'm still looking. I'm almost positive it's around here somewhere.
I loved the scene, too. And I loved the Helen/Adam stuff and especially the Helen/Will stuff about consolation and desolation. I've thought about that a lot since I first saw that episode the first time. That's what I loved about JoA, it gave me a lot to think about.
It had some of the best actors around in it. I love Cynthia Stevenson, Jane Adams, and Philip Seymour Hoffman. It was just that I bought it by accident. The cover looks like a cartoon and I thought it was "American Splendor", that movie about Harvey Pekar, the government employee who produced his own comic book about his life. Letterman used to have that guy on all the time on his old show and those interviews.
I never turned "Happiness" off. I watched it all the way through. But it was shocking, especially if you didn't know anything about it beforehand. I just really wasn't prepared for a(spoiler alert)

comedy about child molestation.
They did cheat and give themselves stock tips and winning lottery numbers to, "fund our rock & roll lifestyle." Usually people with these kinds of talents or gifts never seem to take advantage of them, but Henry does. But he travels involuntarily, so he really can't keep a good job or anything. So I didn't blame him.
