I now know the "other" twist.  I won't reveal it and I have no idea how it will play within the context of the story.  But I suspected it after seeing the interview above where the guys are talking about accents and Stephen says that Topher did really well with an accent in the movie too, though he wouldn't say what it was.  That made me suspicious.  And I was right.

OK. The wheels in my head are turning about  that. I've got an idea but I'll have to wait and see if I'm right or not. :devil:

These are GREAT!  Oh my, he has a gold badge and he's carrying a gun. How our sweet, sensitive Adam has grown...  wink

Looks great!  Thanks, TeeJay!!!!

I forgot to mention that I got to see the one and only Carrie Fisher in her one woman show "Wishful Drinking" in Chicago last Thursday.  It was fantastically funny.  I laughed and laughed.  Lots of Star Wars humor and making fun of herself as Princess Leia.  She is a treasure.  Chris must have had a great time kissing her in Fan Boys!!!!!!

#58 Re: Chris On Screen » The Double » 09 Oct 11 :: 06:25

Oof! That's gotta hurt...   sad  I feel bad about this for Chris's sake but at least it's even being released at all.

Well, I now have something to put on my Birthday want list!

#59 Re: Joan of Arcadia » No Bad Guy ... The Gift » 05 Oct 11 :: 04:18

Ahhhh, Adam/Chris's hands in this shot from The Gift.  Sigh. They speak volumes......

#62 Re: Chris On Screen » The Double » 28 Sep 11 :: 04:36

This is disappointing. I feel bad for Chris...

#63 Re: Chris On Screen » The Double » 16 Sep 11 :: 04:50

Would it kill them to post one little picture of Mr. Marquette?  C'mon, throw us a bone....  :witsend:

Exactly, Marilyn.  I've requested the 23rd off.   Gonna make a day of it, if it's approved. big_smile

Fingers crossed for you to score the day off, Deb!  I already know I can't take it off but I will be living vicariously through you..;)

#65 Re: Square Eyes » In Praise of Chris's Colleagues » 11 Sep 11 :: 21:02

I will watch both on cable. I think JT is very talented but can't spend the $. Gotta save it for Marquette Boy #1 stuff.

I've always thought that Constance Zimmer is a gorgeous woman. Loved her as Lilly and as Penny on "Good Morning Miami."

Sounds rough!  I hate not being able to eat.  I have a couple of errands today and then I'm going to (finally) see Super 8 at the el cheapo theater.  It's so hot though, I really don't even want to leave the house.

Did you see Super 8, Deb?  It isn't playing around here anymore.  I actually arranged to meet a friend to see it back in July but when we got to the theater it turned out I'd looked at an old listing and it was already gone.  Sob. Both my friend and I adore Kyle Chandler and are in mourning over Friday Night Lights ending.

Our weather here was oppressively hot for two days. Now,today it has been stormy and may be down to 40 by Monday night!!!  So many kids at school have been sick already.  Can't wait to see what next week brings after the big temp. drop.:|

#71 Re: Square Eyes » Amber Tamblyn » 03 Sep 11 :: 05:24

Collin Firth!?!??!!!!  And, Amber!?!?!?!  Oh, and Horton Foote script? I think I'm going to like it just fine....

#72 Re: Chris On Screen » The Double » 02 Sep 11 :: 04:31

Well, I bit and posted a reply on IMBD the other day.  It was probably a wasted attempt to tell people not to write off the movie.  It ticks me off that all these people are bad-mouthing a movie based on a 2.30 min. trailer that they don't even understand anyway....

#73 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Randomness » 02 Sep 11 :: 04:12

No big plans.  Labor Day is never a big deal for us, which is just the way I like it.  Like Deb, I'll be decompressing and kicking back as much as possible.   You know, we all better be resting up for the release of "The Double!"

#74 Re: Chris On Screen » The Double » 01 Sep 11 :: 03:43

Yes, but what a cute caboose it is...and both of his lines are money!  :drool: over his voice and delivery.

Men with badges can be very sexy.  Now that he's done his second role as a FBI or CIA agent, maybe he'll land some other roles of this type/magnitude in the future.  I def. wouldn't mind seeing that.

  In fact he delivers the money line.  He's apparently a young agent working the case with Topher.  It looks kinda cheeseball, but also like a big, slick, glossy Hollywood movie. I'm excited.  big_smile

I am very excited!!!  It may seem kinda cheeseball but I agree that it also looks like a big Hollywood movie and that can be a very good thing for our boy.  I saw his cute tush in the first shot with his voice and then heard him deliver another important line near the end of the trailer.

I will def. being going to see this as soon as it comes out.  :dancing:
