They might be waiting for money to come in too, that can take forever especially if its a small independent film.

That's a great one!  Happy Birthday Deb!  Hope you had a great day!

Elinor and I are watching our traditional Christmas movie, Lord of the Rings smile  Happy Holidays!

I couldn't get into Dexter.  I like breaking bad but its too serious for me right now! smile  I enjoy walking Dead.  I liked the first season of AHS but haven't watched it since.

I've been watching Downton Abbey uncontrollably!

#57 Re: Square Eyes » Misc Stuff » 21 Dec 13 :: 21:03

Mel, I read The Hobbit years ago and Lord of the Rings in college.  Would like to read all of them again!

I saw 'American Hustle' last night.  Intense movie but impeccable acting.  Worth seeing just expect to be tense.

Thanks Mel, feeling better.  It's finally Christmas Break! Wahoo!

#59 Re: Square Eyes » Misc Stuff » 16 Dec 13 :: 13:33

I liked the Hobbit a lot more than the first one.  I saw it just in regular screening and it was fine and actually more enjoyable.  The picture is just as clear and crisp as  3D.  Recommend it.  I wasn't going to see it since I didn't like the first one but some friends from church encouraged me to go.  So glad I did.  One dressed as a hobbit, I was kind of jealous I didn't have a costume too!

Sorry Deb! I did eventually go back to bed, I was so tired from the week it didn't take that long!

Aw man, As soon as I get my sinuses and allergies under control I get a stomach bug.  I told my director if my stomach settles before 12:00 I'll come in.  Just don't want to risk it now.  Been up all night!  I hate doing this so close to Christmas break.  Trying to make it these past few months with no days off!

Don't be too hard on yourself cappu.  We all get this way around this time of year.  Good luck with your mom.

Definately has been a Friday the 13th!  You have no idea!  I crashed from 7:15-11:15 after such a chaotic day!

This left me laughing yesterday!

we were closed today. Very surprised.  I'm ready to go back although I caught a cold with the snow.

big_smile

I watched Rush this weekend with Chris Hemsworth and Daniel Bruhl.  It was really good, not as good as Days of Thunder but a good entertaining movie to watch.  Interesting story, based on real events too.  I then watched Thor for the first time and really liked it!  I wish I had seen it before the second, I would have enjoyed the second so much more.  Chris Hemsworth is a great Thor!

Grimm is one of the shows where you have to get into the right mindset to watch it. if you watch it from the beginning you might even learn to look past the silly looking special effects and see it's actually pretty decent among the crap that stays on TV nowdays.

Agreed - I rented it when I was sick one day and watched it.  People kept telling me to try it out again so I did.  I'm really glad too.  It's gotten to a slow start this week. I liked the Episode he's in though!

I have the convention in Dallas the firs weekend in May.  I'll have to think about the Atlanta one, what is it?

I deifnitely bit it on the ice yesterday walking Elinor!  big_smile Its suppose to melt and refreeze tonight.  I'm 90% sure school will go on tomorrow but our district usually goes with DISD district so it's up to them to decide.  Some schools have already cancelled.

Sorry Pegghead sad  Is it in February or May?  I thought May for some reason....

#70 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Randomness » 04 Dec 13 :: 06:22

hectic start back. Think its going to pretty much be that way until Christmas.  Kiddos are already ready for winter break and too excited about the possibility of snow!

#71 Re: Square Eyes » All Things Michael Welch » 04 Dec 13 :: 06:20

Michael Welch guest starred on an episode of Grimm!  Surprised no one noticed!  He did a great job and had a meaty role too, lots of lines.

I got suckered into watching C.S.I today and got caught up on all current episodes.  I can't believe its been on for 14 years and still keeps my interest!  I got into it about season 4 and never stopped watching.  I think it's still good even with all the cast changes.   wink

The Originals by far has  been my new favorite show of the year.  I stopped watching The Tomorrow People.  I think Dracula would be more interesting if it wasn't about vampires but just the person, the backdrop and character without the vampire are interesting enough to hold a show.  I'm hanging in there with Sleepy Hollow.  I quit watching Ravenswood after the second episode.  Pretty boring....

You know, my sister in law and brother were talking about this.  They said they each had to lose weight for these roles.  That McConaughey got a nutritionist and went about it the healthy way and that Leto did the complete opposite and just quit eating.  Both ending up losing I think a lot of weight for the parts.  Sounds really interesting.  McConaughey was in 'Mud' that I heard was really good actually.  Its been on my list of movies to watch for a while.
