Loved it! smile

Pretty amazing pictures from Nasa. Very interesting and scary.

Kiddos were better today.  We had a little conversation about my expectations and they  behaved.  We shall see how long this lasts.

I watched the first three eps last fall online, but then forgot about it. Now it's been on Finnish TV for about 4-5 episodes and I've been watching every episode. it's ok, but I could live without. I read somewhere it's based on a book. So if it fails to air in complete, we can always read the book to find out the end.

True story but I'm with you TeeJay, I wouldn't mind it to continue on for a little while. I love all the actors and think with a little more time they could dig deeper into their characters.  I need to catch up online. I think ABC still has all their episodes online.

This starts  back up second week in March.  I've seen a few episodes, I'll probably stay tuned.  There were a few good ones.  I enjoy the premise.

Would this be the section to put it in?  Or the Off topic thread....

Just found this on the internet:

"Morgan Spurlock and Joss Whedon are teaming up for a documentary about the San Diego Comic-Con.
Sources for E! Online say the two director-producers are looking for "superfans" and intend to follow them for about three months leading up to the event and while attending the 4-day convention in July.  Spurlock attended in 2009 to interview people for The Simpsons 20th Anniversary Special: In 3-D! On Ice!" - from http://www.newsinfilm.com/2010/02/21/wh … c-con-doc/

I'd qualify for a whedon fan but I'm not an intense comic con fan although I've always wanted to go!

It had French subtitles in the Interview because it was done at Cannes, last May.  It's actually LESS likely that it will see a theatrical release in Europe than in the states.  My bet is that they'll open it in NY & LA and then roll it out on IFC cable, like they did with American Gun.

Makes sense.. That's better news, even though there is still a wait.

#1113 Re: Square Eyes » Lost » 21 Feb 10 :: 21:05

That was great  smile   This season has started off mediocre... we'll see how it ends up.  I'm too invested now not to watch it.

#1114 Re: Square Eyes » Welcome to the Whedonverse (Buffy/Angel/Etc Appreciation) » 21 Feb 10 :: 21:02

I know what you mean - there are too many books out there and not enough time! I've always wanted to read Anne Rice.  I might do that this summer. I have a few non-vampire books I'm reading now! (I've always thought we should start a book thread).  I liked the Historian and World War Z because they are more non-fiction and more "intelligent" zombie and vampire literature.  I like twilight just because it is entertaining and easy to read.

#1115 Re: Chris On Screen » Infestation (SPOILERS FOR THE MOVIE BEGIN ON PAGE 15) » 21 Feb 10 :: 20:59

I've seen Ray Wise guest star on so many things this year: Dollhouse, Psych, Castle and I loved Reaper - the short lived show on CW.  I think its so great that he guest spots on these programs, it shows how much he loves acting and that no job is too small for him.  I loved the chemistry he had with chris in this movie!

By the way, love the pic, definately drool worthy!

Definately cool about the recognition. I wonder if it will just be released in Europe in April - it had french subtitles in the interview.  Can't wait to see it though!

#1117 Re: Square Eyes » Welcome to the Whedonverse (Buffy/Angel/Etc Appreciation) » 21 Feb 10 :: 05:54

I'd like to catch up on Vampire Diaries books. The only reason I haven't is because I'm too embarrassed to purchase them in the bookstore! lol the covers are really cheasy.  How lame is that! I should just get over it like I did twilight.  My favorite vampire book is The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova, its about Dracula.  Definately a late night page turner, it reads slower than the Twilight books though.

Wow, I was beginning to think I was the only one who liked it. I knew it was going to upset me when it was cancelled (it was inevitable) but I was too curious to let it go. I think it was too complicated for a lot of people. It's one of those shows that doesn't make sense if you just start watching it in the middle. I personally love that, but to each his own.

It's really a shame it didn't have more of a following because Victor and Sierra (or Anthony and Priya) were adorable together. smile

I completely agree with you.  The story was complex and really think it needed a two hour time slot than just an hour!  I thought the two hour episodes they did towards the end were amazing because creators had more libety to build up the story and get info you needed to make sense out of everything.  Some of the best Joss Whedon stuff yet.  It was definately complicated and dark too.  A lot of people don't go for that.

Sierra and Victor were adorable together! Love both those actors.  Especially Anthony, his impressions of Topher and some of the other characters and personalities were spot on!

True words Deb.  Understand that - Definately check it out on dvd. The first two or three episodes don't do it justice but start to get really into it into the fourth or fifth episode.  I cried in the series finale. I never cry in anything! It was very bittersweet for me.

I read somewhere that Vampire Diaries was being shot in Atlanta.  I think the pilot was actually shot in Vancouver and then they relocated.  I've been trying to keep up with that one too but there is just so much to watch now.

Thanks for the pictures Deb! They are wonderful.  How nice of Chris Lowell to ask permission first.  What a class act he must be! wink I did see "Camp." I love Kendrick as Jess in Twilight movies too.
