Man this Brill guy really pisses me off. He has some freakin nerve to insult another director when his credentials basically solely consist of Adam Sandler movies. His new masterpiece is starring Owen Wilson, so I'm sure that's going to be a hour and  a half of quality laughs all round.

we need an asshat smilie.

There's another virtual season three out there, but they write Adam like a sad wimp, so I think most of us aren't very fond of it. They also seem to have discontinued it in the middle of the season. There haven't been any updates in months and their message board is littered with spam.

As a general rule, the people at NEIAS despise Adam I think.  It's a Grace/Luke website, I expect bias... I honestly don't know why they even bothered to include Adam into their season three.    Adam's a hard character to write for, even harder when you don't like him.    And I secretly love that "Shadow" let her beloved website get taken over by Viagra ads... ok, maybe not so secretly :devil:

I think that's going a bit far. And I'm pretty sure the reason they chose to include Adam is because it is a season 3. Not a sole Grace/Luke fic.

I know Shadow's given up on the forums because of the sheer volume of spam, but NEiAS continues to be one of the best JoA websites out there.

ETA: Shadow has also written some really good shortish fics with Grace/Adam in them.

I love it when Adam bangs his head against a wall/locker/bus. I just love it.

Given the show that's from, it is kinda freaky....

Oh, Adam Rove, will there ever be one like you?

My husband comes fairly close in sweetness and looks...I found him first, probably why I like Chris and Adam, they/he? reminds me of my husband.

Lucky. I want an Adam, wonder if there's any kiwi Adams around the place...well if there are I haven't seen any. sad

I think I might email again from another of my many email addresses. In fact I might do one from every address (I have about a dozen).

Cool. I emailed 50 or so weinstein email addresses (stupid hotmail only allowing 50 email recipients). I just used the email from that darthweinstein (:D) site. I'm not a stars wars fan, but y'know I don't think it matters in the scheme of what the email's trying to achieve, and I really do not feel like writing my own.

I love spinal tap, that movie is hilarious. I've seen doctor zhivago a couple of times, it's pretty epic.

Remember The Daze sounds fine.  I enjoyed Dazed and confused anyway, so am really looking forward to seeing this movie.

So what actually happened in the real story? All I know is that Linus has cancer and presumably by the signs of your signature pic, Deb, dies.

But since I'm probably never actually going to see the original movie, could you tell me the original version? smile I'm past worrying about spoiling it at this point.

#138 Re: Square Eyes » Misc Stuff » 09 Feb 08 :: 02:48

Lost is much better this year than last year.

glad to hear it, might start looking forward to the first episode (airs here on the 13th).

#139 Re: Square Eyes » Misc Stuff » 09 Feb 08 :: 02:41

Two and a Half Men
Expected to shoot 5 to 7 new episodes to air in April/May.

Jeez. Why do they insist on keeping this crap on the air?

At least there is cause for celebration for Big Love and The Office. Sucks Jericho doesn't get any extra eps, tho. They're about the only shows I care about, oh, except for Lost, but even that I'm going off, so. meh.

Sounds like the strike's over, or at least going to be very soon.

#141 Re: Chris On Screen » The Girl Next Door (ADULT LANGUAGE!!!) » 05 Feb 08 :: 05:18

Hah. Paul Dano has a band? that's cool, might have to check it out, I mean if they're cool enough to have a cow onstage, they might be okay.

#142 Re: Joan of Arcadia » 2x08 Friday Night » 04 Feb 08 :: 03:12

I hated Judith for the first few episodes. I just didn't like her, she does grow on me to a certain extent though, just not the extent made out in the commentary.

Even now when I go to watch s2 JoA, I prefer to watch the episodes without Judith.

#143 Re: Joan of Arcadia » 2x08 Friday Night » 03 Feb 08 :: 10:39

Yeah, I mean I felt sad because of Joan (and Friedman, poor Friedman sad), so I guess it worked on that level. But I didn't feel sad that Judith had died. Just for the affect it had on other characters.

#144 Re: Joan of Arcadia » 2x08 Friday Night » 03 Feb 08 :: 07:07

I watched the commentary for this episode last night, I've never been very partial for JoA dvd commentaries, which is why it took me so long to watch it.

Anyway, there's talking about how they built up Joan and the audience's relationship with Judith so that both would feel her death deeply. I wonder how many people this actually worked on? I mean, I certainly didn't have an affection for Judith and was kinda glad when she died, only in the sense that it meant that I wouldn't have to put up with her on future episodes. Maybe that makes me sound cold, or harsh, but it's true, and I know I'm not the only one who didn't like Judith and was mostly unaffected by her death  (I say mostly because I felt for the characters, Joan, Friedman etc. who lost someone they cared about). So, I was wondering how much of their making Judith sympathetic to the audience actually worked, and how much of it was lost on people like me.

It's just that they make it sound like the audience as a whole was affected by Judith's death and I know that not everyone was.

#145 Re: Off Topic Stuff » other men » 03 Feb 08 :: 04:08

Hehe, yeah, I don't know why but there's some celebs I think about in a sexy kind of way, and others I may adore but just can't think of them in that way, hence the cute labelling.

#146 Re: Off Topic Stuff » other men » 01 Feb 08 :: 05:58

I think I have kinda two categories with my "other guys", there's hot and there's cute. And while they're not mutually exclusive (a hot guy can be cute, a cute guy can be hot) I consider them to be either mostly cute or mostly hot. Chris headlines my cute category. smile

#148 Re: Off Topic Stuff » other men » 31 Jan 08 :: 10:01

Wow, that's a huge slide show. You have a way more extensive list than my measly one. Can't say I agree with all of your guys, but you do have some very good picks (like Jonathan Brandis and Joshua Jackson big_smile).

Nice book, it looks very very droolworthy.
