I think this was the song that was on the show few episodes before that second kiss.

I don't remember what scene it was anymore but it sounded so good I googled some words from it and found the lyrics and songname and artist. big_smile

Hey who was it that linked jamendo.com on one of these boards? I just signed in as CappuGirl. Feel free to add me as friend if you're in there too. I'm having lots of fun listening the music there. big_smile Lots of talented people!

I've already found many good singers through this show that I've never heard of before. I'm sure many of those cds aren't even for sale here. I found Joan Osborne ofcourse. I originally thoughted 'one of us' was Alanis Morrisette's song.. witch one's is it really?

Damien Rice and Howie Day both had one really good song playing when Adam and Joan had big moments.

I'm sure there's more. Can you give me a tip?

Oh, ok. big_smile

Another thing that bugs me, I can't find any of the stories you peops were talking about in these boards. For examble that secrets thing...

#1604 Re: Fan Fiction » JoA: Adam & Adam/Joan stories » 16 Oct 08 :: 12:52

I love those little fan fics. big_smile Great writing. It just bugs a bit that I can't find a continuing plot line. It so well written, I'd read a whole book about it. Like 3 inches thick. big_smile

#1605 Re: Square Eyes » Star Trek (2008 movie) » 16 Oct 08 :: 09:00

I've never seen anything of Star trek. Am I weird? big_smile

They showed some tv series on finnish tv when I was a teenager but I never watched it. Other than that I've seen maybe some clips but don't really remember any of them. It feels like I'm missing out on some of the jokes on The big bang theory.

If I was to start watching Star trek now, with what sould I start with?

I liked the linked version better. big_smile I like to enlarge the text when I'm reading something very long. It won't hurt the eyes so much. On that linked version the enlarged version looked better.

Our computer is gonna brake for good one of these days.. So maybe I'll soon get that laptop I can call all my own. And then I'll have eighter Carl or Linus as a wallpaper. big_smile So hot.. and he just keep getting hotter. I'm sure that if I'll touch the screen while he is on it, I'll burn my fingers! wink lol

Oh damn you, Illinois. That picture haunted me for a day and I just couldn't think of where it's from. Finally I had to ask a friend and she quessed that maybe it's a remake of Casablanca or the original somehow colored afterwards? Now she too is haunted by the picture! lol Let us out of our misory and give a hint or something.

Another friend said maybe it's Clockwork orange, but that can't be it, right?

Oh, I didn't know the new Indiana Jones was on DVD already. big_smile  I haven't seen it yet. Maybe I'll buy it. Tell me if there's any good extras on that one.

I like Jackie Chan movies too, Maria.  I have a bunch of them on VHS.  Police Story and its sequels are my favorites.  The stunts in them are outrageous.  I wanted to see Forbidden Kingdom, but we were kinda still protesting The Weinstein Company over Fanboys and I just didn't wanna give them any of my money.  :fedup:

Oh crap, that was a Weinstein movie too? Oh well, I can happily say I didn't give them any money eighter. I got a free ticket! lol

Wow, I just read that story. It was long but it was so capturing I just had to read it all at once. You girls most have felt like you were on cloud number nine! big_smile

maria, i am glad i got you interested in some of those movies because i love them. but how about your recommendations??? it's sort of your thread and i haven't seen you recommendations big_smile

Hey not true. I did put on some of my favorites in post 16. big_smile

Here's some more.. growing up I had only few movies of my own. It was still the VHS time.. I had a copy of Sleepless and Seattle and The musketeers (with Sutherland and Oliver Platt and such). I called them my favorite movies for a long time. Funny thing how the Sleepless in Seattle got stuck in my mind somehow. It made me want to learn how to peal an apple at once and I sometimes find my self having flash backs from some scenes when I'm doing the same stuff with the kids as 'Sam' does with 'Jonah'. lol

During the past year I've seen lots of movies I can recommend.

Imagine me and you - A beautiful love story about love at first sight. Piper Perabo and Lena Headey look great in it. And I didn't know Piper could make such a great english accent. I have a review of this movie in my blog. http://nordiclighter.blogspot.com/2008/ … -2005.html

The forbidden kingdom
- Michael Angarano gets a sudden time travel experience and becomes a hero. Jackie Chan and Jet Li are in it too. It's pretty darn good. I like movies like that. And I like a lot of Jackie Chan movies. I wish I could see the Myth again. That was really awesome. I even got to see some of his older films. The drunken master 2 was pretty good.

Charlie Bartlett - I've liked Anton Yelchin since I saw him in Taken. Too bad I haven't come across a lot of his movies. Charlie Bartlett is all about Anton. big_smile He's so talented in it I got blown away. It's a good story about a good kid that good things but they look like bad things. And there's Robert Downey Jr. too. like him too.

August Rush - Some say it's full of cliches and it's badly done. I have to disagree. It was a great experiment the first time I saw it. And I had to see it again and again. There's Jonathan Rhys Meyers in it singing and I had no idea he could sing like that. The movie is all about music and the music is great. Mark Mancina makes great tunes for films. After seeing this flick I checked his Imdb as well and got suprised finding out he's done the soundtrack for many films and tv series I've liked.
August Rush is an exciting and beautiful story about a boy looking for his parents, a mother looking for her son and a man looking for his long lost love. It's all brought together by music. Absolutely great movie. After seeing it about 10 times I can say I start to see some of the cliches and some of the reasons some call it a bad movie but I don't mind. I can still look pass them and see masterpiece. DO not take this movie too seriously. Just let it take you to a magical trip. big_smile

I saw the Holiday with Jude Law and Cameron Diaz last december. There's two love stories, lots of interesting characters. Maybe the best christmas movie I've ever seen. Nicely done and well acted and so on. I have nothing but good things to say about this one too.

So there's a few. big_smile

These boards went suddenly very quiet...

I just saw the trailer for Dandelion. It's been a while since I last checked Vincent Kartheiser's Imdb page. Last I saw it there still wasn't much info about the Dandelion and seemed like he didn't have much going on. Now there was lots of new stuff. I didn't even know that he was in a new series.

Anyone seen Dandelion or the Mad men? Are they any good? The trailer for the movie looked good.:D

#1623 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Randomness » 13 Oct 08 :: 06:47

It's 7.47 am here now. We just woke up. I so didn't want to get up. I had the sweetest dream ever. I dreamed that I gave birth to my fourth child and it was this adorable little princess that never cried and just stared at everyone and smiled. She had a long light brown hair. Just before I woke up, I was thinking of names for her. I kept doing that after I woke too... :embarrassed:

Makes me wanna think if I should make a home pregnancy test. lol I always have vivid birthgiving dreams like that when I'm pregnant.. lol
