Thanks for posting that!  It'd be cool if you could adjust it to the left a tiny bit so that the words aren't cut off.

Not much of what Chris and Amber actually did with that scene is on the page.  It's just a sketch.  Most of what we love about the scene came out of them. Maybe the director had a little to do with it too.  wink

If I get to talk to him, I will definitely tell him what Chris said about him.  Yeah, get some questions together!  I wonder what he'd say if I asked him how HE felt about Chris saying The Notebook is sooooo gay in Just Friends.  LOL!

Oh, and BTW, I am once again being accused of being someone I'm not on the IMDb boards.  Now, I'm Larry411, this guy who saw an early cut of the film and has been singing it's praises over there ever since.  I've invited Larry to come here and post his review of the movie because someone keeps having the link deleted on IMDb.  I'd like to read it because Nick read it and he was very impressed with what Larry had to say.

So, let's see... I'm a shill for Showtime and/or Huff, and I am now a shill for the publicists of Alpha Dog.  Oh, and I only do what I do on this website to get in Chris's pants.

Hey, check it out guys.  There's a fake Emile Hirsch My Space blog too:

* A My-Space run by one of his Fans -- No, Emile does NOT have his own My-Space, currently, although he DID have one, last year, which he deleted.
Anyway, here is The Fan-run My-Space page in case anyone's interested in browsing it or "adding" ...

Yeah, what I wouldn't give for A/J's fabulous sex life in Butterflies.  Damn.

He probably wouldn't mind staying a fanboy forver.  Would ya, Sean?

#18257 Re: All About Chris » If Chris Could Play Any Role... » 27 Oct 06 :: 18:47

I miss the old days when rom coms were about banter and chemistry instead of ghosts and time jumping and whatever else you can think of.  Call me old fashioned.  It's like writers don't trust the strength of their own work anymore.  Nary a rom com gets released these days that doesn't have some mumbo-jumbo going on.  I mean, heck, even Adam and Joan have the whole God thing going on, so they don't even qualify.  And that's not counting the fact that they're rarely funny.

Chris and Aly.  Ooooh, that could stir up some very intersting dreams for me.  And I'd better shut up right now.  tongue

Yeah, this is the day we were there.  If we were visible, we'd probably be off to the right.  Man, whoever got these pics was sneaky!  We snapped off like one or two pics and got quickly shut down.  I like the first pic of the wheelchair because you can see that big honkin' speaker.  We never got a shot of it from that angle, I don't think.

And yay!  The Amish nerd!

Thanks for sharing those Sean!

Deb

PS: TeeJay, are we gonna be nice and adjust Sean's gender?  Poor guy.  It's only fair.  He takes such good care of us, after all.

#18259 Re: All About Chris » If Chris Could Play Any Role... » 27 Oct 06 :: 17:49

No shaved heads!

But a definite YES to the rom com --- if they can write one without a supernatural element.  I mean, for God's sake, what's the last rom com you can name that had nothing supernatural going on?  Or where one or the other of the partners didn't die in the end?  Can't think of one?  Neither can I.  hmm

TeeJay, if she sent them to you as PDFs could you maybe convert them to JPEGS and upload them as you would a picture?

Hang in there Shrams, TeeJay will know what to do.

#18262 Re: Joan of Arcadia » JoA Recaps for Season 2 » 27 Oct 06 :: 05:51

Joan's a flake, but she's kind of an endearing one because she's always trying to do the right thing. Most people don't. Even those who conduct themselves way better than she does.  I do love her. I couldn't write her as I do if I didn't. But she's not my favorite person in the Joaniverse. We know who that is. big_smile

Having spent a year and a half unemployed and having my credit wrecked by it, I can only wish that no one in the world has to endure that. Being under-employed sucks too. I'm happy where I am right now. The money's fine, but I need a roommate to help with expenses so I can pay my debt back. But just try finding someone quiet, stable and close to my age who needs to share a place and doesn't have horrendous baggage.

Shrams, I want that apartment! It'd be a great Dorquette pad. We could watch all our Chris stuff in that theatre. tongue

#18263 Re: Joan of Arcadia » JoA Recaps for Season 1 » 27 Oct 06 :: 05:38

Cool beans.  If all else fails, maybe you could fax them to me and I could scan them.  You rock.

Deb

#18264 Re: Joan of Arcadia » JoA Recaps for Season 1 » 27 Oct 06 :: 05:08

Shramsy, you would be our hero if you could scan even one!

I pick Recreation. What do you guys say?  We'll be happy with one for now.  Maybe you could give us another one for a Christmas present or something.  My second choice would definitely be No Bad Guy.

Buy hey, you know what? If you want to, you can just scan the Adam scenes.  That would cut down on your work.  And we'd love that.  I bet we could even get away with posting just those individual scenes here.  Since they're not the whole script, they would have no commercial value.  What do you think, TeeJay?

Would you be willing to send us those pages for posting, Shrams?  No rush.  Just as time allows.  Kind of like I'm getting Fanboys script pages from Sean in tiny chunks --- which is actually great fun.

Just an idea...

#18265 Re: All About Chris » If Chris Could Play Any Role... » 27 Oct 06 :: 01:21

Only problem with Chris playing Danny is the shaved head.  I know it sounds shallow but I hope he never shaves his head.  But yeah, it is a very powerful movie.  Not exactly a pleasant one to watch in some places, but great performances.  Ed Norton's amazing.  The very best thing in the entire movie, for me, is the rage and humor in his eyes when the cops draw down on him after he commits a horrific assault at the beginning of the movie.  This is a really great character, Derek.  I'd never seen anyone onscreen like him when I saw this movie in the theatre back when it came out.  A few years later, Ryan Gosling turned in an equally amazing, textured, brilliant performance in the similarly-themed, The Believer.  If you like American Histry X, you should definitely check out The Believer.

Hey Shrams,

Do you have those on paper or in PDF form?  Ours are PDF.  If yours are too, maybe we could share?

#18268 Re: Joan of Arcadia » JoA Recaps for Season 1 » 26 Oct 06 :: 20:23

Wow, cool, so Script City has more now.  Yep, that's where we got Jump & The Gift, but they only had two others listed back then.  Looks like we need to go back to that well.  Recreation and No Bad Guy would be my picks from that list.  We'll have to get those someday, huh, TeeJay?

And I'd also like to read Independence Day so I can get more of an idea of how to fix what was so fundamentally wrong with it.

#18269 Re: Joan of Arcadia » JoA Recaps for Season 2 » 26 Oct 06 :: 19:19

I like your insights about Adam in Friday Night, Shrams.  I kind of take Adam's side in most things too.  Mainly because Joan's a total flake and he's well, he's Adam.

#18272 Re: Joan of Arcadia » JoA Recaps for Season 1 » 26 Oct 06 :: 05:11

Wow, that's really wild.  Didn't know such sites existed and it's a damn good thing they caught on and did something about it.  LOL.  Well, somehow I will read all of those scripts one day.  There are some very interesting differences in what was on the page and what ended up onscreen in the two that I read. I can't get enough of that kind of stuff.  Especially as it relates to Joan and Adam, of course.

I don't think there's anyway in hell I could ever have a myspace page.  There already aren't enough hours in the day.  And Joe, my coworker says it's terribly addictive.

No trivia that I can tell you right now.  I've already mentioned the ones that are pertinient to what I've read.  I'm sure you're going to learn a lot of obscure movie facts from seeing Fanboys.

Deb

#18275 Re: Chris On Screen » Fanboys » 25 Oct 06 :: 20:51

I'm already certain that a large amount of the dialog is going to sail over your heads because of lack of American movie geekery on your part.  But so what?  Sean and I can explain it all to you.  Right, Sean?
