Yes, that's precisely what I meant. :rofl:

That's great!  I love it.

#2104 Re: Fan Fiction » JoA: Adam & Adam/Joan stories » 07 Nov 07 :: 04:27

That's is sweet.  And I'm glad to see that Adam was still alive for graduation.  (What with the exposure to the killer strains of VD and the various and sundry blows to the head. wink)

And, Laura.  I love that, when the prompt is "Ends", the avatar is a butt with a copyright symbol.  Niiiice.

"Hello, Hobson?  It's Arrrrthur."
"Ah, yes.  How delightful to hear from you!"

Yep!  Scary, isn't it?:D

Well, look for more of the same around tomorrow or Thursday.

Yeah! big_smileyikeslol

I can see it now:  a new insult taking the country by storm.  "Aw, go hug yourself!":rofl:

Yeah, a 2X4 applied firmly upside his head wouldn't be out of order, either. :angry:

It's a good story, though.  Another great job!  I just STILL have a hard time with him having been so stooooooopid.  It's been almost 2 and a half years.  I should be moving on by now, shouldn't I?  winkhmm:D

#2111 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Randomness » 07 Nov 07 :: 02:32

Thank you!  I've always wanted to rock.  And now I have it on good authority that I DO.

I tried to scan the cover of my DVD and use that, but it didn't work too well.  I pulled that image off Amazon.

#2112 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Randomness » 07 Nov 07 :: 01:30

You probably could.  I hear he absolutely refuses to wear a shirt when he bongos. wink

And if I had those abs I wouldn't wear a shirt either.

McBubba got arrested for having his stereo on too loud.  When the cops went to ask him to lower the volume after the neighbors complained,  they discovered the stoned, naked bongo-ing.:rolleyes:  It was a disturbing the peace thing, the other stuff is just what made the papers.  Understandably.

#2114 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Randomness » 06 Nov 07 :: 06:08

I read that, too!  But they did say he was polite after being taken into custody.  (More like scared spitless wink)  Nice hoodie, though.

This might be the most bone-headed celeb move since Matthew McConaughey's (sp) stoned, nekkid bongo night.

#2115 Re: Square Eyes » Post your recent DVD purchases » 05 Nov 07 :: 20:45

I think you'll love TLK.  Mary Poppins is great, too, as you know.  I'll never forget the scene with Dick Van Dyke and Ed Wynn and laughing so hard that they floated up to the ceiling.  Great stuff!

#2116 Re: Fanart » Avatars » 05 Nov 07 :: 20:31

Thank you, thank you, thank you.  I should've know you'd to this.  (After all you got me fig leaf man in just minutes wink).  I really appreciate it!  I still need to figure out how to make those things, but for now I don't need to.  You're the best.

I can probably make you one with him in the tree, if you want.

Thanks, Laura!  That's so sweet.  I really like this one.  One of these days I'll do a screen cap and find exactly the expression I want.  When I do, maybe I can get you to give me a "how-to" lesson in avatars.

ARE you feeling better, by the way?

Illinoisguy1, that's great!  I've added a lot of great DVDs for my collection from Half Price Books.  I don't know if they're in the rest of the country, but they sometimes have fantastic deals.  I've gotten nearly-new disks for less than 5 bucks that would've been at least twenty on Amazon.  It's feast or famine, though.  Sometimes when you go in all they have is a cubic ton or romance novels.  But, if you watch, you can make out like a bandit.

#2118 Re: Square Eyes » Post your recent DVD purchases » 05 Nov 07 :: 18:13

I wanted one from up the tree, but I couldn't find exactly what I wanted and, since I was feeling kinda weird being avatar-less, and since I love "me, neither", too,  so here we are!

#2119 Re: Chris On Screen » The Day The Dead Weren't Dead » 04 Nov 07 :: 21:40

I love the new trailer.  It's got quite a bit of Josh Randall in it, too.  Looks hilarious.

And congrats on passing the 5K mark, Deb!  Quite a milestone.:D

#2120 Re: Fan Fiction » JoA: Adam & Adam/Joan stories » 04 Nov 07 :: 18:46

Yeah, I love the puppy suit Halloween costume.  But this captured his inner-puppyness.;)

#2122 Re: Fan Fiction » JoA: Adam & Adam/Joan stories » 04 Nov 07 :: 18:40

Laura, that's so sweet (and sad).  And don't you know that Ashley is really gonna love it.  Great job.

I love it when the Rabbi shows up.  Paul Sand used to be one of my favorites.  He's got kind of a Gene Wilder thing happening, even though they don't really look alike.

#2123 Re: Square Eyes » Post your recent DVD purchases » 04 Nov 07 :: 18:27

Illinoisguy, I LOVE "Young Frankenstein"!  I bought that one a year ago, and I bought "Blazing Saddles" at the same time.  Some people prefer "Blazing Saddles", but I'm crazy about YF.  Both are definitely Mel Brooks at the top of his game.

There was a 'making of' documentary about it a couple of years ago.  It was really interesting.  I think they had a bunch of the old sets and props from the James Whale Frankenstein movies from the 30s.
