click this if you wanna see who made #34 on someone's stupid list of "Actors that ruin the movie with their appearance" big_smile http://www.imdb.com/list/-doV4YU0dOU/

It really tells more about the person taking the time to make that list than the actors on it. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and all that. I do have some people I don't like all that much but I acknowledge often the reason I don't like them is that they remind me of someone I know and I wish I didn't know so well - or of something about myself that I don't like. people react to things they don't like to be reminded of. It would be silly to measure someone's talents and personality based on your own psychological mambojambo. for example, I don't like Tom Cruise because organized religious freaks me out, especially cults. i look at him and I swear I can see "that crazy religious glint" in his eyes. still everytime I do watch a movie with him in it, I must admit he is pretty good. Then there's the whole thing I have about alcoholic people due to being the ofspring of alcoholic people. I swear I can recognize it on some people and immediately go ew. Still I like to think I'm better person than that and try to see people due their own merrits and not by what I think I see in them. now Anne reads this and remembers that whole misunderstanding about the Bill-Sookie-Eric thing and wants to slap me for saying bad things about Bill/the actor. All that was colored with my dislike for older man-younger woman-couplings because I had a version of that when I was younger, regret it like nothing else and I get a gag reflex everytime I'm reminded of it.

btw. a lot of my favorite actors on that list! big_smile

weird coincidence that I learn today that he is playing an autist  when just last night I came across an autistic artist name Stephen Wiltshire. I'm always at awe of these people. can't wait for Chris to play one. big_smile

I read in the news that some zoos are giving monkeys frozen bananas and other frozen things for other animals. nuts!

Oh, you've got beautiful hair! You cut just enough to make it a bit easier to carry around but not too much to ruin its awesomeness. big_smile

Deb, I think that cloud is a cloacked space ship. lol. (if I misspeled that word, don't judge me. first time I tried to write it and too tired to check for the right typing)

never before has it snown in june, even in this country. some years there's been unmelted snow in the early june but never has new snow fallen. this is a very strange summer. it's sunny and summery for me today, but it snowed above the arctic circle. somebody go kick the Golf stream it ain't working right.

any Adam Rodriguez fans in the house? wink he was in the newest episode of Necessary roughness playing a baseball player that you at first just love to hate and hate to love, and then you'll just go "awwww!" big_smile

Trailer for Looper. Never realised Joseph Gordon Levitt and Bruce Willis' eyes were so similar. big_smile I love them both. might be my favorite film all summer.

#289 Re: All About Chris » The Brothers Marquette » 27 Jun 12 :: 16:19

oh it's a movie set big_smile I was thinking "why is he getting creamy cake thrown at him in a concert? he must live a very crazy life." lol

oh screw you. it's a drafty and damp 46F/8C here and my bones are begging to be dipped in burning lava. we had a few good summer days already and now we've got our first heavy rain storm last night and today. I've got a cold. I'd love to trade places for a couple of days.

#291 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Goodbye Nora Ephron » 27 Jun 12 :: 16:11

What? Wasn't she still pretty young? too young to die, at least. sad Rest in peace, Nora.

To post this here or on the reboot thread, that is the problem wink

Ryan Reynolds will be the new Highlander. Any thoughts? I'm pretty sick of reboots but would love to see Ryan in another hero/warrior setting. I'm so torn! wink

I watched a movie starring Emma Caulfield the other day. it was pretty good. It was called TiMER and it was about finding love in a world where you've got a timer in your wrist counting down to the moment you meet your soulmate. Hers was empty and she embarked a relationship despite of it. I didn't like the way it ended but otherwise it was pretty great. the ending was just too much of a safe choice for the makers.

What does Mike do when there's a break from a musicvideo shoot and his newly fit body is demanding some workout endorphines? Why, he goes on a crazy dancing spree on a field in his elf costume, of course. big_smile I think Deb is gonna get a kick out of that Breakfast club referance.

#296 Re: Chris On Screen » Chris, the stand-up comedian » 14 Jun 12 :: 02:22

I find it funny how non of us commented on the relationship thing on FB. I hope it's true. he seems happy talking of her. though, I am slightly jealous. lol

cute! big_smile I see she has a big shining ego too. tongue

#299 Re: Chris On Screen » Kilimanjaro » 07 Jun 12 :: 15:06

click here if you want to know more about the producing duo behind this film. The interview was made in december so it doesn't have anything on Kilimanjaro yet, but it's a bit interesting.
