Happy Birthday Deb!!!! Hope you did something fun.
Here I was lamenting another year of working through the holidays. But that sounds like such a bad experience, mine doesn't seem so bad.
This is so very sad. I worked on 2 TV movies with her before she was well known. I never met her, but my partner did when we did The Devil's Arithmatic. We both commented often during the time we were working on that movie how very very good she was in it, and that she had a big career ahead of her. It is too bad she never lived up to the career her talent warranted. Probably because of those demons I had been hearing about for the last few years. Very sad.
Congrats Mel, will you get to go through the ceremony in the spring?
With good reason. A 2 hour comedy without laughs.
I have the Still Crazy soundtrack, and one of the songs shows up in my itunes with Jimmy Nail as the artisit that's why I remembered.
Isabella Rosselini was in Death Becomes Her with Bruce Willis
who was in Alpha Dog with...
Alastair Sim
Well, they are showing It's a Wonderful Life instead. I think the best bet to see the episode is online. NBC.com has it.
I had to make sure I was right who he was (my thought was "is he the guy from Still Crazy")
Jimmy Nail was in Still Crazy with Stephen Rea
who was in The Crying Game with Forest whitaker
who was in American Gun with....

Just saw this. Not much of a movie. The Virgin Spring is excellent. The original Last House had a raw power that came from the low budget and shocking nature. This one is so slick it loses power. (one good touch was bringing back a character from the Virgin Spring which had been left out of the original Last House)
As to STC being like Adam Rove. I'm not sure I would have thought of it if it hadn't been discussed here. Within the movie, I don't see much resemblance. But with the hoodie and shy looks, I can see how he might have been similar in the short cuts of a trailer. In the end, do NOT see this looking for any Adam Rove thrills. You will be disappointed.
I only had one dog in my life. When I went off to college, I had to leave him at my parents house. And he was hit by a car. I never really got over it. (I had dreams about him being still alive for years). That was about 25 years ago, and I still can't think about getting another. So, I understand how hard this can be. You are in my thoughts.
Got to say, this one has zero interest for me. Somewhere I saw it described as looking like "Dances With Wolves: the video game". And that is what it looks like to me.
Actually I think it usually is Saturday, but Deb is right to check the local listings.
Because we don't have another new episode airing until Jan. I'm not much ahead of you right now. But my guess would be no, although they have been bringing some people back I didn't expect.
Zooey Deschenel was in Elf with Mary Steenbergen
who was in JOA with....
Lee Marvin
When my daughter's dvd drive went out about that fast, we took it in, and they told us that just picking up the laptop on the side where the drive is can damage the drive. They are apparently very fragile. The tech said to always pick it up by the fold to avoid this. No idea if this is a possible answer or not.
There is another reason for the December break. November is a Sweeps Month. So, the shows all do special, bigger more complicated episodes, and they are usually still working on them til the last minute. Plus they usually have new episodes every week, which doesn't always happen in now-sweeps months. So, in order to do this, they basically borrow time from future episodes(that is why there are usually only 1 0r 2 episodes if any in december). And it takes a month for them to get back into the normal pattern. A similar thing happens in March, after the February sweeps.
Yes, it is 21, that is why I never understood why he wanted Vegas for his 18th. But he did.
Yeah, have a good first day. It is always a little awkward, but I'm sure it will go well.
Have been gone for almost a week. We went to Vegas for the holiday weekend. It was my son's 18th birthday on Thanksgiving (I can't believe he is an adult), and he has been saying for years he wanted to spend his 18th in vegas. We don't gamble, so we saw some shows, Penn and Teller were awesome. The Jersey Boys was even better, Donny and Marie (not my choice) was pretty good, but was the weak one. It is amazing how much stuff they have for families to do.
Attention JOA fans. we do not have a new episode tonight or next week, but the one airing the week after, features a guest appearance by Jason Ritter. The part plays to his strengths, but I'm not sure it is one of the better guest parts we have had. In the end, it is always fun to watch him act.
Ron Jeremy was in 52 pickup with Roy Schieder (I pretty sure he was in that movie, there were a lot of porn stars from that era in it)

I've seen Jump at least 10 times. The rest of the first season anywhere from 3-6 times. Season 2 most episodes 2 times a few episodes more and the last 4 episodes 1 time each. (for reasons I have stated numerous times before)

There must have been a faster way but..
Helen Mirren
Seems Like a better place than where I asked before. But I went to Fabs Hot dogs which was featured on Diners Drive-ins and Dives. The place was packed. It was really good (and I am usually not a hot dog fan). My son can't wait to go back and try another one from the show.
Deb,(or anyone else) have you ever been to one of the places? I know that he has been to Atlanta a few times.
