#376 Re: Off Topic Stuff » "... like without too much singing." ::: Our Music Thread » 21 Mar 07 :: 23:06

My music interests are kind of eclectic - I'll pretty much listen to anything. I stay away from country though, since that music just bugs me.

Some of my favorite bands are Our Lady Peace, Death Cab, Matthew Good, Reel Big Fish, Sufjan Stevens, City & Colour, The Clash...the list goes on...

Amazing TeeJay. I'm just now starting to get into the fanfiction you guys have written. I think so far this is only the second I've read, the first being "The Haircut", which I adored as well. In my opinion, it's hard to find really well-written fanfiction, so I've stayed away from it for the most part. But these are seriously outstanding.

Off to read more!

Sure! It's something I've been wondering for awhile now, so I'd love to get an answer. Thanks you guys!

What's the first thing your ever saw Chris in?
Like I've mentioned before, as a kid I was really into the Disney Channel. I first saw Chris in a TV movie he did called Noah with Tony Danza, and then I saw him later on in Up, Up, and Away. I believe my first thoughts on Chris were, "Wow, that kid is really annoying." A few years later, I was really interested in talented young actors, and a friend who shared the same interest told me to watch Joan of Arcadia specifically for his character. I pretty much instantly fell in love with Adam, so I made my way onto Melissa's site and caught up on all of his earlier performances.

What's your favorite thing he's done so far?
This would probably have to be Joan of Arcadia. I seriously loved him, and I loved that show. And even though the writing is utterly crap, I love, love, love his performance in the "Angel On My Tree" episode of Touched by an Angel. Just outstanding.

What's your favorite scene in that movie/show?
Joan of Arcadia: This is really difficult. I'm going to have to say the break-up scene in "Trial & Error" as well, even though it's so heartbreaking. Both Chris and Amber were so incredible in that scene, so it's hard not to think of it as a favorite. I really love the end of "Jump" as well, with the science fair and the kiss. I still get giddy watching it.

Who's your favorite Chris character and why?
I love Chris as Adam, simply because Adam is exactly the kind of guy I would want in a relationship. As TeeJay said, he's not afraid to show his feelings, he's artistic, he's gentle, gorgeous, *sigh*.

Do you remember the first time you Googled Chris?  What site did you land on?
I do, actually. Around that time I was working on a Shia Labeouf site which has since closed, and someone on our message board brought up Margo Harshman from Even Stevens and her new boyfriend, which happened to be Chris. They had posted pictures of the Freddy vs. Jason premiere, and I was surprised to see how much older he looked. So I just Googled his name and checked out his IMDB page, if I remember correctly.

What were you looking for when you found our website or how else did you stumble across it?
I was looking for a website that had up-to-date information, pictures, etc. And I found one big_smile

What role in what movie --- any movie --- past, present or potential would you love to see Chris play?
Oh man...again I'm going to have to agree with Samsy and say that I want him to play an evil character.

Seen any Chris movies in a theatre?
Only Alpha Dog. I remember really wanting to see The Girl Next Door, but I never got around to it, unfortunately.

Own any Chris movies?
All of them except Freddy vs. Jason and The Tic Code. I'd like to get my hands on both of those.

Have anything special recorded off TV?
As of now I have the "Angel On My Tree" episode of Touched By An Angel, his Even Stevens episode (which I need to vid cap for you guys), and his Law and Order episode (which he's in for all of 3 seconds, but whatever).

What do you like most about Chris?
I just appreciate his raw talent on screen. He is so believable in everything he does, and he puts an amazing amount of effort into every single project. Also, he's damn fine.

If you could ask Chris one question, what would you ask?
I think I'd ask him how he got started in this business and what encouraged him pursue it as a full-time career. Most all of my other questions have been answered by the interviews done by TeeJay and Deb smile

Do you have any of Chris's lines that you can quote off the top of your head?
I can actually do most of his lines from The Girl Next Door, since whenever I find it on TV I can't help but watch. "And you can still like her with your penis inside her." tongue

Have you met Chris in person? If so, tell us about it.
Nope. Maybe someday, though.

If you could have him autograph one item or photo, what would you pick and why?
Hmm, good question. I'd really like to have an autographed print of the photo Chris Lowell took, since I'm friggin' in love with it.

What would you want to see Chris doing next out of these?
a) a very dark and suspenseful thriller
b) a sitcom
c) a quirky and/or romantic comedy
d) a horror movie
e) a drama TV show
f) an action movie
g) a dramatic movie
h) a medical or cop show
i) a theater play
j) something else entirely (if so, what?)

I'd say E, G, or I. I'd choose E simply because I'd adore seeing Chris on television once a week again. That alone is most of the reason I miss Joan of Arcadia. And I'd pick G because, like TeeJay, I would choose drama over comedy. And finally, I think a theater play would be really, really interesting. Theater acting is entirely different from acting on screen, so I'd like to see how Chris reacted to the change. But, it would probably be hell and a half to try and see the play, unless he traveled on Broadway or something. And I don't see that happening.

Woot!! Absolutely awesome news. Thank you Deb! I really hope Chris gets to go - I love pictures from film festivals smile

#383 Re: All About Chris » The Brothers Marquette » 17 Mar 07 :: 16:40

I happen to think that it was a brilliant idea to include Chris's brothers on the website. I haven't seen them in much - I saw Sean in "13 Going on 30", but that's about it. I really need to find some of their guest-starring episodes online.

Wow, that's awesome. Thanks for forwarding my comment on Piz, haha! I'm glad to hear that he's as sweet in real life as he is on television. Glad the photos made it on the site!

TeeJay, that would be awesome! Thanks so much! big_smile

#388 Re: Chris On Screen » Choose Connor (a.k.a. The Politician) » 14 Mar 07 :: 01:51

Grrr, the trailer isn't working for me. I'm out of town (again), so I'm not about to mess with the settings while I'm on someone else's computer. I guess I'll have to wait until I get home. I'm excited that we've got a trailer, but it's too bad he's in it for all of two seconds.

#389 Re: Chris On Screen » Graduation » 14 Mar 07 :: 01:45

Hahaha! Chris is great as Piz on Veronica Mars...it looks like his character is about to develop quite a bit more as well. He's one of my favorites on the show. Quite a funny guy, too smile

I caught a few videos of his band...I believe one of them is on YouTube. They're actually pretty entertaining.

#390 Re: Chris On Screen » The Education Of Charlie Banks » 14 Mar 07 :: 01:41

Well, damn. I guess this is pretty indicative of exactly how fickle this business can be. It's really too bad, but perhaps it will show up elsewhere? I certainly hope so, at least.

#391 Re: Chris On Screen » Graduation » 05 Mar 07 :: 22:08

Awesome! I'm glad Chris L. responded - he seems like a very kind person. He's been in a couple of TV shows that I like, so I'm excited to see him work with Chris M. in Graduation. big_smile

Awww, what cute photos of him! Thanks TeeJay!

#394 Re: All About Chris » Funny screencaps » 01 Mar 07 :: 20:45

Haha, well he plays a brat in that episode, that may be why he looks so evil tongue.

TeeJay - I can make vidcaps, but I don't know if I will be able to with the Even Stevens episode. I downloaded it from iTunes from some Holiday Disney pack, and I'm thinking they protect their stuff pretty well. However, I am gathering all of the ES episodes on my Tivo and when Chris's rolls around I'll be able to get clips from it big_smile So it's just a matter of time.

#395 Re: Chris On Screen » Miscellaneous Stuff » 01 Mar 07 :: 20:40

I'm actually a huge Shia fan, and have been since he's Even Stevens days. I used to work on a website for him, which has since closed (I think). I lost touch with the webmaster. Another Shia and Chris are connected is that they both dated Margo Harshman. Shia dated her after meeting her on the Even Stevens set, probably about two years before she started dating Chris.

#397 Re: All About Chris » Chris on Conan O'Brien? » 01 Mar 07 :: 18:45

I sent the e-mail with the SNL caps over, but the Even Stevens file is acting like it's too big to send. If it's okay with you guys, I'll just upload it to a site like yousendit.com or something that way you're all able to download them.

#398 Re: All About Chris » Chris on Conan O'Brien? » 01 Mar 07 :: 18:33

I haven't sent them yet, sorry! I tried sending them last night but my Internet kept cutting out. I'm about to try again in a bit. big_smile

#399 Re: Fanart » Wallpapers » 01 Mar 07 :: 18:30

I'm also rocking one of the white AG wallpapers. You're awesome TeeJay, thank you!! big_smile

#400 Re: Joan of Arcadia » All time favorite scene » 01 Mar 07 :: 05:13

Man, reading through this thread brings back a ton of memories. This show had some really wonderful moments.

One of my favorite scenes is from the end of "Vanity, Thy Name is Human" when Adam brings his movies over to Joan's house.
