Just came across this trailer for Dirty girl. Mary Steenburgen's haircut makes her look old. or maybe her age? I dunno. She's supposed to be young enough to have a teenage boy in this movie. Why did they give her such a granny haircut? 80s and all, but still.

ok. smile can't argue about the matters of taste.

I haven't been to twitter for a while again. I just find it too hard to keep up to. I'd have to be on it 24/7 to know what's going on with all the people I'm trying to follow. I guess I'm just not much of a stalker. I mean follower.

shame on you. NCIS isn't crappy. every episode is quality work smile I'm a big fan. I like how it stays loyal to its style but still keeps moving forward and staying fresh. I've liked it from the start even if I'm not a big fan of military/political/spy movies and TV. there's always a few exceptions that surprise me. big_smile a lot of actors have had guest roles in it like in the CSIs. Like Mike Welch was in one episode on 3rd or 4th season.

I just watched the newest Manup! and laughed so much big_smile Dan was awesome! rest of the cast too, but it kinda centered on Kenny this time.

Which one did you watch? maybe stream the other one?

I tried FB too. and google. I got the names of IMDB pro, eveb thought I don't have the pro, the names were on the first lines on google search. I thought you knew the names already since you saw the  movie on pro, Deb. big_smile glad I could be at help.

#431 Re: Square Eyes » In Praise of Chris's Colleagues » 15 Nov 11 :: 18:43

it's a little weird it was already viewable on my web streaming place when it's not supposed to come out until tonight in the US.

#432 Re: Chris On Screen » God's Work (New Project In Development) » 15 Nov 11 :: 18:40

so far I've learned:
- Chris has worked many, many times before with the director Luke Eberl. Maybe it's another project he's making with his friends? (Choose Connor, Fellowship, Sugarmountain,  Faultline)
- unrelated but: Luke Eberl made a movie with papa Joe's daughter Gia this year, called Getting that girl.
- Trevor Morgan is also attached to God's work and has also worked on Faultline. so really, little project with friends?

*sigh*I give up. wait a few days for Collider etc catch up. try googling God's work and 2012 and guess what you get. the climbse of imdb pro profile was all I could find that was even related to the movie.

#433 Re: Square Eyes » In Praise of Chris's Colleagues » 15 Nov 11 :: 17:32

came out today. It's the latter episode of a double episode. I didn't really see her anywhere else but that few minute scene somewhere around 5 minutes. but it was so Grace, you've got to see it! big_smile

#434 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Birthday Thread » 15 Nov 11 :: 15:45

happy belated birthday to Papa Joe! <3

#435 Re: Square Eyes » All Things Michael Welch » 15 Nov 11 :: 15:43

handsome devil! big_smile giving Rob&co a run for their money on who's the best looking man in the premiere big_smile

#437 Re: Square Eyes » In Praise of Chris's Colleagues » 15 Nov 11 :: 15:34

squeee! big_smile I'm 9 minutes into the new episode of NCIS (9x09) and just saw Grace Polk! I mean: it was totally Grace Polk. She even had the same hair and looked all the same. Her character was called Littleton, but it's clearly Grace who has infiltrated the marines to make a political point wink

#438 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Randomness » 13 Nov 11 :: 13:31

warm day + storm is great. a little bit exciting. and makes my inner Valkyrie want to go out and dance in the rain. big_smile rather warm, stormy november than this darkening kind that always sucks the life out of me. not only that, the weather is cold enough to feel cold but warm enough to not make snow yet. so the darkness is like highlighted with the naked trees and dark ground. and the sodding greyish white cloud always hanging over us. *sigh* at least when I was younger and lived 200km north, the Northern lights made fall a magical time. seems here the closeness of the sea at the south and the northern wind coming down the river the temperature can be quite rocky. up and down we go. always sick then. *sigh* at least my cold seems getting better now and so does the boys' angina. I have to take them to their dad again today and maybe a little sooner than usual since it's Father's day here today. Next week I'll be feeling weird, especially since I've got three days of home school. sleeping in, doing the assigments in couple of hours, then just watching too much TV again and sleeping in. gonna be so anxious with "nothing to do" I'll be at the gym every day, I'll bet. best anti-anxiety 'drug'. wink

#439 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Randomness » 12 Nov 11 :: 15:22

I hate the darkness. *crumpy* makes me so depressed and anxious so often. I need to move to Australia for their summer. Like some birds, I guess. heh. This morning I realised the sun doesn't come up until 9 am suddenly and it's already going down now at 3.30pm. *sigh*

#440 Re: Fanart » Wallpapers » 12 Nov 11 :: 15:15

just realized on this new laptop I CAN put these as the background pic big_smile made my day.

#441 Re: Square Eyes » Misc Stuff » 09 Nov 11 :: 17:52

I'm watching. big_smile I was chatting with some friends about it too. how VD has become like a band that really grows on you and their every song (=episode) is a masterpiece but their own style has gotten so well tuned, the songs starts to sound the same. I feel like we're being lulled into oblivion and suddenly there'll be something that leaves us all "WTF? never saw that one coming!"

You're right about Ian. Makes good eyecandy, always. tongue

http://www.joblo.com/movie-news/exclusi … on-trailer

First trailer for Jay Baruchell's Goon. Don't laugh, but I've always had a soft spot for Sean William Scott. maybe it's the chin-fetish, maybe it's the promise of a toned body and abs, or maybe it's the whole of his being that just screams at me "this guy would be perfect to play a hero or a caricatyre of a hero!" and I'm such a (super)herolover... but I do really like him. So I really hate that this trailer didn't really play for my crumpy laptop, but maybe you've got a better luck. tell me how it was.

#443 Re: Square Eyes » New Shows 2011 » 06 Nov 11 :: 12:58

I think I like Grimm over Once upon time. Maybe because it's so close to Supernatural's image. or the general things that pulls me into fantasy/horror shows. OUT is too sweet and kiddy like to me. it's so out for me. lol. might let a few epiosdes run by and then have them as a minithon. maybe it will seem better then.

#444 Re: Square Eyes » In Praise of Chris's Colleagues » 06 Nov 11 :: 12:52

I think I've watched that movie when it came out but can't remember anything you just discribed. I only remember something about Ashton and something about Taylor2... i remember thinking it felt like a hastily done movie. too much crammed together in too little time. it would have made a good tv series.

#445 Re: Square Eyes » Misc Stuff » 05 Nov 11 :: 11:37

Im not going to pin pont the words that peeked my interest but I might have to add this show to my list.  wink big_smile thanks for the tip! canadians make some of the best tv.

#447 Re: Square Eyes » Great TV Ensemble Casts » 05 Nov 11 :: 11:31

Buffy had a fantastic cast.  It changed over the years, but everyone who was part of it was great in their own way.  My favorite cast is probably Season Three.  Angel was still around.  There was a good bit of Spike and Dru.  And we got Faith.  Also, there was lots of yummy Oz.

I agree with EVERY word! big_smile you know how I feel about Oz.... grrrr. And Spike was a great Villain. Then he turned good and I was in awe that it didn't ruin anything.

I'm liking all the shows you people suggested. I'd add Supernatural (<3), NCIS, HIMYM amd TBBT

#448 Re: Square Eyes » New Shows 2011 » 05 Nov 11 :: 11:24

I checked out Once upon a time and Grimm. I'm thinking I'll get a little overdozed on fairytales if I keep up, but they're pretty watchable. I can't help thinking Grimm is inspired by that one episode of Supernatural. wink

#449 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Randomness » 05 Nov 11 :: 11:21

that is very cool big_smile you girls are having some FANtastic moments! big_smile

---

I've been here a little less lately. Sorry. I just don't do Forums at school and seems my evenings go with a little FB and a lot of TV before I pass out at 10. I'm pathetic really. But school is fun smile I'll bet you didn't expect to hear that from anyone but a first grader big_smile I've got the most laid back degree of all. only thing they make a fuzz about is that there should not be days off unless you're sick. the assignments are given so much time, I've got way too much time in my hands there. up to the point of getting angry at FB for not entertainning me. lol. or surfing all together. now I'm a little obsessed about drawing a C casette (of all things!) to finally have an assignment that can't be done in 1-2 hours.... and then wait for the rest of the day for lunch and getting home... talking of lunch, I saw two TJ lookalikes at lunch yesterday. Or they looked more like they could be little sisters of said TJ. big_smile
