I just hope he has peace.  Unless he was singing or dancing he always came across as being so strained to me. R.I.P

Such sad news to wake up to sad

#679 Re: Introduce Yourself » Hi :) » 26 Jun 09 :: 01:15

I only just started watching season 2 of FNL and OH!!! No, they cant do that. I guess it does happen and all that. But seriously. Can anyone stay faithful in this show sad Much disappointment but hey i still love Matt. And Julie is cool too, I will like her again soon enough. Just saw the second episode though where the Swede drove her to the football party, so not happy with her right now.

Hehehe I do I do...but i am curious as to why especially me. I have such a soft spot for when a menial task can be turned into a way that you can show a couples closeness. I think its even more romantic than the whole buying flowers and chocolates thing.

oh oh oh and also....the reason i absolutely adore the fray

This is from this year So You Think You Can Dance Australia. I am not a very emotional girl normally but this dance was so so beautiful that i did get a little teary watching it. The guy ended up coming second, the girl would have gone far too but ended up breaking a rib during rehearsals so had to leave the competition completely!

*edit* -- I am so totally going to see them perform next month with my mummy! Excitement plus....they are all such beautiful dancers

Ok well it was likely that my horrible and terrible cold was actually swine flu..... I didnt bother going to the doctors cos at the moment its basically a 2 hour wait to see the doctor, to finally get tested and if you do have it be told bed rest. But the 2 options of people which i am likely to have caught it off have both been diagnosed with swine flu. Hahahaha and i thought it was sposed to be really bad. I have definitely been far more sick than this before

Yeah i agree with most of what has been said here. But yeah i think "I Love You, Man" will be a guilty pleasure for me to watch. One of those movies that you dont expect alot from so you just enjoy watching it. Also New Moon, and My Sister's Keeper are movies i plan to keep an eye out for. But probably not in the cinemas. The others you have listed i either havent heard of or really dont wanna see either. And some i havent heard of but can tell from the picture i dont wanna see...But then i originally didnt want to see the Hangover, but was told i had to. So i went, i saw it and OMG sooo hilarious

BiggestChrisMarquetteFan - I know you posted it awhile ago, but dang those time differences....I LOVE freaks and geeks. Seriously one of my all time favourite shows. Disappointing it was so short lived though. But oh love it so much

Fifi - Hey hey....welcome to the site. They wont say it themselves but the admins here are awesome! And i know what you mean about stuggling to find Chris related things on DVD and such. I am Australian and we tend to have the same problem here. Same thing with JoA here, it was cancelled early. Though i managed to watch it all for the first time within the last month and have become a fan. Your English is very good. I wouldnt worry

#685 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Ten "Best Picture" nominees ? » 25 Jun 09 :: 03:28

I utterly and totally agree with you Illinois, though i do have a soft spot for the silly opening. But i used to watch the whole thing years ago and now its just so long winded and i really cant be bothered. I usually just find out the major winners via the net and thats about it these days

#686 Re: Fan Fiction » Alphabet Soup - Joan of Arcadia Style » 25 Jun 09 :: 03:20

I love that song by the Fray. You have some talent there TeeJay. REALLY REALLY do. If you keep spitting them out, i can promise you i will keep reading them!

#687 Re: Square Eyes » Twilight (contains spoilers for all books and the movies) » 24 Jun 09 :: 05:31

Makes total sense. But its still an amusing concept

#688 Re: Introduce Yourself » Our little questionnaire ::: Come on in and answer it » 24 Jun 09 :: 05:29

No worries Shell! Its just the way my brain works sometimes

#690 Re: Introduce Yourself » Our little questionnaire ::: Come on in and answer it » 24 Jun 09 :: 04:25

Hi Sheldon! Nice to meet you *shakes hands* And i totally agree the teen/adult angst stuff is very much a fav to watch. And im sorry i cant help it, it must be said. I hear your name and all i can think of is The Big Bang Theory. But thats probably just me big_smile

#691 Re: Square Eyes » Twilight (contains spoilers for all books and the movies) » 24 Jun 09 :: 03:49

Honestly i always found that Bella lead Jake on a fair bit. He was clear about how he felt for her but she was always vague, especially in New Moon when Edward disappeared for awhile. That and i cant see Edward really doing any different if the situations were reversed.

But with the hatred thing I only meant that so many cult status fans wont hear a bad word being said about Edward without getting defensive. There were so many times reading the books that i just kept thinking how unappealing a sulking guy is. Dont get me wrong i am still a fan. But i can still see the faults in a person without it being the end of the world. I really am quite excited for this next movie to come out....

#692 Re: Square Eyes » Twilight (contains spoilers for all books and the movies) » 24 Jun 09 :: 02:31

Wasnt she always going on about how she felt so connected to Jacob though? I am pretty sure if Edward wasnt in the picture there would be some interesting wolf-lovin! Hahahahaha i am so going to be hated for this post

#693 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Randomness » 24 Jun 09 :: 02:29

Maria - That first guy....WHOA he is like albino but whoa the difference of his arms is huge. Sorry everyone but that just yup, that photo freaked me out a little. Yup being sun smart is very important. Though coming up to winter in Aus i guess its not as relevant to myself at the moment.

And guys, seriously...i think just about any puppy is adorable and makes you wanna keep them. Its what puppies do. Though i do agree that photo is particularly adorable. NAWWWWWW Puppies!

#694 Re: Introduce Yourself » Our little questionnaire ::: Come on in and answer it » 24 Jun 09 :: 02:23

I only just recently joined myself Trudy. I'm Kate from Australia (that felt kinda group therapy) but hey, everyone here is massively sweet and welcoming - if you couldnt already tell - so enjoy!

#695 Re: Square Eyes » Which 2009/2010 movies are you most looking forward to? » 24 Jun 09 :: 02:15

Thats always going to happen though when you make a movie based on a book that has such a large following. Jodi Picoult just wrote this so beautifully and heart wrenching its hard to imagine that an adaptation would do it justice. But I do try to never pre-judge. Aussies will probably have to wait to see all these movies though. Its getting better but we are still behind with release dates and such.

#696 Re: Fan Fiction » Alphabet Soup - Joan of Arcadia Style » 24 Jun 09 :: 02:09

Nawwwwwww TeeJay, I am sick at the moment and i do smell like a medicine cabinet. Where is my Adam to look after me?  That was such a sweet story i really love it

#697 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Yankee or Dixie test » 23 Jun 09 :: 04:17

57% (Dixie). Barely into the Dixie category.

Hahahaha so many of these i had to just put an answer for an hope for the best. I mean Aunt, in Australia sounds more like "aren't" than anything else. But hey, all for shits and giggles smile

#698 Re: Square Eyes » Twilight (contains spoilers for all books and the movies) » 20 Jun 09 :: 14:17

Yeah i cant believe that Taylor is actually 17...he seems so much older. Makes me feel like a dirty old perve when i look at him and think how hot he and his body is

#699 Re: Fan Fiction » Alphabet Soup - Joan of Arcadia Style » 15 Jun 09 :: 04:45

Hahahaha i am still so far behind in everything. I feel like all i am doing these days in my spare time is watching movies or tv or reading comments about movies or tv and commenting myself. Not that its a bad thing. I am actually really enjoying discovering all this quality stuff that i had no idea was out there. Quality like Chris's booty *cough*  I mean his talented acting ability. Hehehehe nah totally both. Im glad i have this outlet to discuss on though. My poor friends would be driven mad. I talk too much about Chris as it is. Although Friday Night Lights has kinda taken over very quickly and drastically of late. So i either talk about that or else its my trip to the US, which isnt happening till May 2010 but i am so bouncy about it already. I will definitely have to get around to reading Butterflies though. The small amount of fan fiction i have read from you guys. WOW, i wish i had even a smidgen of the talent you guys do. I would love to be able to do that myself but even if by some freak accident i thought up an amazing story line there is no way i could write it up. So seriously, keep up the amazing work and i PROMISE i will eventually get around to reading this stuff

#700 Re: Square Eyes » Friday Night Lights » 15 Jun 09 :: 04:31

Well im about bit over half way through the first season and i am already a MASSIVE fan. Will have to wait and watch the other seasons. I hate how nothing ever comes out to Australia. But apparently this show is on cable here. I was bragging about it at dinner and my brother's girlfriend (she has cable) told me she hadnt seen the show but was fairly sure she had seen an add for it. I just hope these wild turns arent too wild and end up stupid. I hate the ratings type shows when you can just picture the writers...."OH NO we are dropping in ratings QUICK, get this girl pregnant, have this person die, a kidnapping would be good. How about all three in one episode?" Bloody idiots. Sometimes i swear they have no idea that real life drama can be interesting to. You dont HAVE to go to extremes to enjoy something. Best example ever would be JoA with Adam and Joans relationship. LOVED it. The part where they tried to make it more interesting and extreme just made us dislike it. And i seriously love how sweet and innocent Saracen is with Julie. Being scared of her father makes me giggle a little too. But it must be hard and i LOVE that. The normalcy of any show is what makes it so great and wonderful. I love how they show a loving married couple fighting, because that doesnt mean they dont love each other and arent happy. I love when they show the awkwardness of a new relationship. If its done properly and explored beautifully they dont need a meteor crashing to earth just to try and make something interesting. *sigh*

(My rant for the day smile)
