Yeah, me too!! The movie looks real good. Like something I'd go see even if Chris wasn't in it. And, who knows, if it makes it Germany, it's not completely unlikely that they show it without dubbing. Maybe I'll get lucky after all. Cross your fingers for me, will you? I'm not counting on anything before summer 2007, though.

But is it just me, or does it look like Chris is not gonna be a huge part of the movie? To me it looked like he might in a handful of scenes, but that we'll mostly see Justin and the girl (can't remember her name).

And I LOVE the hair! That was also what I was most curious about before I saw it.

I'm currently adding the five caps I snagged to our gallery. smile

Thanks for posting that, Anne! A fresh infusion of Chris. Whoohooo!! Just what I needed in these stressful times. Well, not stressful anymore because as of last night, I AM OFFICIALLY ON VACATAION!!! Yay!! <bounce bounce bounce>

It was also the right decision to wait until this morning to watch the trailer. I would not have been able to appreciate it enough last night.

Oh God, I'm so tired I'm almost beyond caring. Maybe I should watch this tomorrow morning when I'm all fresh and energized. Because right now I'm somehow so not in the mood. Thanks for the SMS though, Anne. Very much appreciated. smile

And indeed a late birthday present: January 26. Though it will not affect me personally in January, unless I'm miraculously on a business trip to the US then. Which isn't entirely impossible but highly unlikely. Still nice, though. Anne, can you post this in the News section on the website? Thanks.

I'll indeed watch the trailer tomorrow. Chris is not worthy being watched in a state of near unconsciousness. He deserves my full attention, and he doesn't have that right now.

Yeah, and do we need to wonder WHY it was Chris he picked out of the three other guys? No, because Chris is awesome and talented and a wonderful actor! big_smile

Okay, not an indie then. Even better. So this one might have a remote chance to cross the Atlantic and be shown without dubbing in German theaters around here some place. Cool! Might be my first big screen Chris movie, if none of the others he's got lined up actually make it.

And there's still no news about this mysterious My Tutor thing, is there? If he's not working on that already, it might actually be that he got a bit of a late summer vacation, our busy boy. Unless shooting all the other stuff took longer and he's still doing that right now. I really hope he'll get some R&R before the next project.

And you know what, ladies?? I'M ON VACATION!!!! Just got home and now I have three great weeks off. I was a little disappointed to come home and find that this insurance company wrote to me and said I wasn't accepted for the extra medical insurance that I applied for, but I'm gonna try another after my vacation. If no one will take me, then I'm just not gonna do that. Which will suck, but then at least I tried. Why did they refuse me? Probably because of my lower back problems. They said my individual risk was too high. Yeah, dudes, whatever...

And I wish I had the new ER and Grey's episodes already!!! Working on them as we speak.

Ah, yes, American Gun. That's great, I can make some really great screencaps for the site. Looking forward to that. smile

Guess we'll have to be a little more patient with the reviews. I'm sure at least the three or four regulars will leave a review eventually. The surprise will probably be first shocking and then pleasant.

Oh, and just for the record: I want Chris in a recurring role on a TV show for more than three episodes. I wouldn't mind something on the side where he'll only appear every third or fourth episode. At leat that would give us some more frequent exposure than just the occasional movie or DVD to come out. Chris, please, listen to us! Pleeeeeaaaaaaaaase! Please, Chris, please!! Do it for us, for US!

#8306 Re: All About Chris » Your Chrissues of the Day » 20 Sep 06 :: 22:41

My Chrissue of the day is that I'm totally out of the (Chris) loop these days. I'm just waaaay too busy with real life stuff, and I wish it were different somehow. I mean, real life is good, but too much real life and too little obsession can't be good either, right? I wish I could just sit back and delve into Chris land for a while, but it ain't happening before middle of next week. See a very jet-laggy me and a bladder infection aftermath-riddled Deb going crazy in Atlanta. tongue

Boy, I came home from work at 10:15 (PM!) today. Emptied the dishwasher and have to fold up some clothes now. And then I'm gonna drop dead on the couch before crashing. I wish I had some brand new unwatched Chris material here to binge on, but I guess I'll have to stick to CSI:NY, like I have these past few weeks. Thank God, Mac finally fired Aiden. Never liked the fat-lipped chick.

And I like the word "chrissifected". I think the Chrissifection is slowly being flushed out of my system. I need to catch the bug again and hope it'll last for a long time. And dare I say that I don't ever want them to develop a cure for Chrissifection?

Another Chrissue: Road Trip has been posted since last Friday and no one's left a review yet. NO ONE! Not even the trusty reviewers. I don't know if that means no one really liked it? I mean, I totally did. You too, Anne, right? I can't believe they didn't like the chapter. It was so good! I hope we're gonna get some reviews in soon. Maybe when we post the next chapter, we need to add a little comment in the author's note about there being no reviews for RT and what's up with that...

#8308 Re: All About Chris » Your Chrissues of the Day » 19 Sep 06 :: 21:10

My Chrissue is similar to yours, Deb. Though for a much more pleasant reason. We had a team building seminar all day, and I just came home from dinner afterwards. It was pretty cool, but this is the first time today that I'm online. And I didn't have the opportunity to think about Chris much today either.

Although I did at least once. We were supossed to introduce ourselves to the group of people and name one thing that's special about us. I thought about saying something about our website, but then I didn't think that was that special. A lot of people have websites. So I picked my being a total anglophile to the point of talking in English with Germans who also love speaking English. That's probably a little more unique. But I think that was pretty much the only time Chris entered my thoughts before tonight. I was way too busy the rest of the time.

Fact of the day: My new Jack Wolfskin jacket really is waterproof. There was a shower when we were building an 8 m high tower in the parking lot, so I got to test it. All clothes underneath stayed dry. Nice. smile

You can also find this on our website, but I thought we should post this here as well, because it explains who we (as in the webmasters of this little website) are:

So you wanna know who's running this site? There's three of us (all women, in case you haven't guessed) and just to give you an idea, Samsy-Marie (= Anne) is 20-something, TeeJay (= Tina) is 30-something and Sisterdebmac (= Deb) is... older. smile Two of us are from Germany (Samsy-Marie and TeeJay) and one of us is from Georgia in the US (Sisterdebmac), hence the bilingualism of the site. Why are we running this site? Simple answer: Because we need to. What good is it if we obsess about the great actor that is Chris Marquette in private? How frustrating is it that we have all these great goodies and can't share them with the public except on some remote message board that only few people ever look at? That's when we decided it was time we opened our own site and had a place for people to stop by if they wanted to know what Chris is and was up to and find lots of goodies if they were craving that.
A lot of time and effort went into the site, and we hope you understand that we can't always devote all our time next to our full-time jobs in real life to it. However, we will still and always strive to update this site as frequently as possible and do the best that we can. That's the beauty of having three people to take care of things.

Largely responsible for all the technical stuff is TeeJay, she designed the layout of the site and set everything up. (Thanks go out to Searge for all the help on PHP-related issues!) If you have complaints about any of that or have anything else to say to her, contact her at teejay@chris-marquette.com. She's into webdesign and fiddling with images and designs and basically lives for playing around with that stuff. In real life she works with a German pharmaceutical company. She loves hanging out with friends, reading, good movies, the English language, playing dead on her couch, cats, writing and reading fan fiction, rock music and Chris Marquette's eyebrows. She hates hay fever, people who are disrespectful or unjust, computers that crash for no reason, people who can't spell for the life of them but still post their fan fiction stories without a spell check, caraway seeds and gooey songs.

Next up is Sisterdebmac, who's written a lot of stuff for the site and is the authority on movie scripts and things surrounding them. She's also a really good beta-reader for just about anything, (fan) fiction or non-fiction, articles or recaps. In real life she works for a corporate promotions company in Atlanta, Georgia. You can e-mail her at sisterdebmac@chris-marquette.com. She loves Adam Rove's hair, baseball, her furry children (2 dogs, 1 cat) and her new computer speakers because they make Chris sound so damn sexy. She hates the jerks at IMDb who litter the boards with inanity and swill and waiting for Chris's movies to come out.

Last but not least we have Samsy-Marie, who earned her nickname for dyeing her hair red at one point (there's a red-haired children's character in Germany called "The Sams"). She's into media design and came up with a lot of input for the site and had some really cool ideas. The German part of the page is mostly run by her with the help of TeeJay. She finished training as a media designer and isn't afraid to show others that you don't have to hide if you're different, since she was born with Sturge-Weber syndrome. Her e-mail is samsy-marie@chris-marquette.com. She loves being online, painting, reading good books, watching good movies and TV shows, listening to good music, meeting her friends, chocolate, Chris Marquette's hair and improving her English skills, especially with something that has Chris and his original voice in it. She hates asparagus, people who post inappropriate things on message boards or are mean, being pitied by others, not finding the right words in any language and the Arbeitsamt (the German speaking population will know what that is).

The three of us met on the message board of Melissa's christopher-marquette.com site and we've been inseparable since. We even have a name for ourselves: The Dorquettes (as in female version of dork, as in fangirl). We've had long e-mail conversations, internet chats, we've even met in person. The big meeting took place in October 2008 in LA when finally, Samsy-Marie and Sisterdebmac met it person, too.
And you wouldn't believe the fun we've had and the crazy things we've done. Fabric-painting drool towels, t-shirts, putting Joan of Arcadia stickers in our cars, driving friends mad with talking for hours on end about Chris Marquette. Yeah, well... we admit that we're obsessed. But we love it. So, if you do wanna get to know us more, join in and talk with us or write us an e-mail. Constructive criticism is always welcome, obsessing along even more so.

Chris as a hobbit? With his hair long, he wouldn't have needed a wig at least. LOL But I do believe he'd make a better elf, actually. He's got the pale skin thing going. But can you imagine him with straight, long (maybe blond) hair? I somehow can't. Which would make it even more interesting.

Here's one more: Chris instead of Jake Gyllenhall in Donnie Darko. How about that? I can also kinda see him playing David Labraccio (originally played by Kevin Bacon) in Flatliners. ... what would you like to see/have seen him in?

I already wrote this to Deb, but I thought I'd post it for everyone to see.

For me, it would have to be the role of Jean-Baptiste Grenouille from "Perfume: The Story Of A Murderer". Not many people outside of Europe might know the movie, I believe it's gonna hit US screens in December 2006. But it's showing in Germany right now and I watched it today.

I liked the movie, but it got seriously weird in those last 15 or 20 minutes there. But what I did think more than once is that this is one of the first movies where I kept thinking throughout the movie that the role of Jean-Baptiste Grenouille should have been played by Chris. I'm sure he would have been able to pull that off and it would have been sooooo interesting. Because this character was really a conflicted one. Not in the sense that the character itself was conflicted, but in the sense that you as a viewer couldn't really decide if you should admire him, feel sorry for him or despise him.

And the actor that actually played the role was completely unknown to me before today. Ben Wishaw, a Brit. And while he's not exactly a beauty, he had such an interesting and intense air around him. Although... if Chris had played the role, he would have been covered in muck pretty much for most of the movie (it played in 1700-something) and he would have had an ugly red scar running through his right eyebrow. But still, it would have been so interesting. This would truly have been a bad guy, but not in a vicious sense. More in a quiet, psychological sense. And I'm sure Chris could have done it brilliantly. Let's hope he gets to play roles like that in the future that'll even come to German big screens without dubbing.

So, who do you think Chris would rock as, past or upcoming movies/TV shows?

#8315 Re: All About Chris » Your Chrissues of the Day » 17 Sep 06 :: 20:11

How can you not be of Hispanic descent with a name like Rodriguez? I think it's pretty safe to assume that this whole name change thing is actually true. But of course we'll never know unless we ask the one person who can tell us. Yeah, like that's gonna happen....

How can you be sure? Maybe his mom or his mom's family is from Poland. That's not completely unlikely. His father is most definitely *not* of Polish descent, that we know now.

And I just added "a Chris Marquette fanpage" below the www.chris-marquette.com writing on the coming soon announcement frontpage. Hope that makes it clear that we're not his official site for as long as the page isn't completely online.

Yeah, well, I find it both a little annoying and a little amusing. But most of all, I find it embarrassing. Not for us, but mostly because this girl, however old she is (probably not even 16) just presumes that Chris can speak Polish and will call her and her sister/friend on the phone. But we know these people exist and it probably won't be the first e-mail like that we get. Look at Melissa's guestbook, it's riddled with entries like that.

And I agree, this is better than trolls that diss him or want to beat him up.

Okay, well, if these pics were sent by Kyle, then I guess he also gave his okay to post them. Unless he didn't and this person posted them anyway. Whatever... And I still have no idea how this one collage by me got leaked in the first place. I never posted a link to it anywhere, I'm quite sure of that. It was on my server for a while, but you could only have accessed it if you knew the direct link. Someone must have raided my server..... Ah well... you're not safe anywhere.

And it doesn't matter now because I deleted all the Fanboys pics from my server a while ago and whoever got them off of there, I can't control what they're doing with them. Let's hope the production guys realize that it can only help to throw the fans some scraps so that news spread and even more people become aware and jazzed about the movie.

And, yeah, where is that trailer??????
