Glad to see Supernatural comming back this Friday!  I've missed it.  I just watched Appointment in Samara yesterday. With the snow days I've been watching re-runs on tnt too.  They just aired 'Ghostfacers' and 'Jus in Bello' from season 3 that are some of my favorite episodes.

Sarah Michelle Gellar to appear in new CBS series called 'Ringer' showing in May.

Here is a synopsis of her new show from tvguide.com:

Seems interesting.  Excited to see her back on tv.

Yes, SNL was good! I hadn't watched it in a while.  You could definately tell how nervous he was but the skits where funny especially the Mr. Wizard one, and the Frankenstein one smile  I had heard that Zuckerberg would appear, his line on inventing 'poke it' was great. I loved Lorne Michaels reaction!  I think Zuckerberg alone would make a great host to SNL.

good luck.  How'd you like Raleigh?  I went to camp close to there when I was younger. Pretty landscaping around those parts.

#831 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Randomness » 02 Feb 11 :: 02:14

lol CappuGirl. Glad you are getting some confidence from your mom.

ANOTHER snow day tomorrow.  This is crazy.  We NEVER get two days in a row.  My school is usually the only one that's open while all the others are closed.  I hear Chicago districts are closed too, and that's the first its happened since 1979.

Couldn't agree more with you.  It would make a really cute tv series I think.

#833 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Randomness » 01 Feb 11 :: 16:50

Thank goodness for the snow day.  We were going to delay school until 10, but weather just too bad.  Already spent an hour talking to AT&T and greenmountainenergy transferring services to my new apartment.  Now time to pack for a few hours.  At least it will be a productive day!

#834 Re: Chris On Screen » The Rite » 01 Feb 11 :: 04:49

The Rite was number 1 at the box office earning 14.8million.  Even though Chris wasn't in it for very long, at least it seems a lot of people saw him for those few minutes this weekend! smile

#835 Re: Square Eyes » Netflix online .... » 01 Feb 11 :: 02:20

That's right! I still need to watch that. Another thing to put on my netflix list. I just added "The Wiz." Its the african american version of "The Wizard of Oz," with Michael Jackson.  Teachers want to watch it for Black History Month.  Netflix gave it one star for me, I just think that there could be more appropriate movies to watch at this time. I understand that the kids like Michael Jackson and relate to him, I just feel like there should be a movie more about a historical figure.  Anybody seen it or heard of it?

#836 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Randomness » 01 Feb 11 :: 02:17

Sorry Simon, wish I could help you, I like movies, but am not a writer.  Wish I were, I think all I could write right now would be something similar to Cat in the Hat since that's what I'm around most of the time! tongue

Biggest ChrisMarquetteFan: Good luck this week.  No matter how stressed you are make sure to be in bed by 10:30. Getting enough rest is essential to your performance!

Kiddos were WILD today.  We have a traffic light system to monitor behavoir, Green is a great day, yellow means they did not make good choices, red is a conference with the parents.  Only 3 went home on green!  Really stressful. I think they sensed the cold front comming!

Please pray for a snow day tomorrow, and that we will be OFF all day.  Or at least even a delay would be nice.  I could use a day off to pack and do some things, i know we are all pretty tired at this point with tutoring, report cards, saturday schools.  Its like this until school's out really.

I just got into Monk Season 1 on netflix. I love it. Sad I never watched it when it was on tv.  Can't wait to watch the rest of the series! Tony Shaloub is just great!

#838 Re: Square Eyes » The Social Network » 30 Jan 11 :: 23:02

I liked Zombieland. Definately has some entertaining moments.  Woody Harrelson is really great in it.  It starts off really strong, fizzles a little bit towards the middle and end, but it is entertaining to watch.

#839 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Randomness » 30 Jan 11 :: 23:01

great news! so glad to hear!

#840 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Randomness » 30 Jan 11 :: 07:28

That's good to hear.  Can't wait for a full Chris feature. Watching Jesse Eisenberg on SNL.  He's just as awkward and nervous as his characters he plays in the movies, but there are some funny skits.

#841 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Randomness » 30 Jan 11 :: 04:04

yea. I'm continuing to purge and clean out my apartment to get ready to move. About to do that in a few minutes in fact.  Hope the movie was good.  Will check it out eventually.

Sounds like fun cappugirl.

Deb, sounds like you actually had a busy friday evening catching up on shows. That's what I plan on doing tonight.  I slept for 2 hours yeseterday afternoon, went to bed at midnight and woke up at 10am today. I could have staid in bed for longer if I wasn't taking care of my parents dogs this weekend! tongue I feel a lot better but still a little stuffy.  Cold and flu season has started at school.  I made eggs and coffee this morning and am watching Bewitched. Taking advantage of this saturday because I'm booked up for the next few saturdays in february with saturday schools. TAKS time.

Fun Kate! Glad you had a good time with friends celebrating Australia! Always wanted to go there!

I don't know about you guys but I'm pooped. Can't wait to sleep tonight. That's my exciting Friday evening.

#844 Re: Square Eyes » The Social Network » 29 Jan 11 :: 02:57

Jesse Eisenberg will host this Saturday's SNL.  Should be interesting...:/  I like him as an actor and all, but never saw him as quite the comedian myself. Although Zombieland was quite funny at parts.

#845 Re: Chris On Screen » The Invisible » 27 Jan 11 :: 04:19

It is a little messy. I think the pigeons are symbolic of his spirit if I recall.  When the bird dies in the begining he was able to revive it, so  that is how he found out he was still alive.  That's the best I can do! smile

#846 Re: Square Eyes » Post your recent DVD purchases » 27 Jan 11 :: 04:16

yes. I remember it being good!  I only saw a few episodes and liked them! You should definately treat yourself when it comes out!

#847 Re: Square Eyes » Oscars 2011 » 27 Jan 11 :: 04:13

There was one year when it was all international winners: Marion Coutillard, Tilda Swinton, Penelope Cruz, I think two or three years ago.  I think Firth is the strongest candidate. It was nice to recognize James and Jesse.

We only watched one episode.  I can't remember which one, but we were watching it to see how the lifestyles were different and clothing styles were different.  I think for a play that we were doing or something...

#849 Re: Square Eyes » Post your recent DVD purchases » 26 Jan 11 :: 02:17

how much fun!  We watched this in 4th grade. I think because my last name is the same as the family in this series.  It would be really fun to own!

I've seen most of the best pictures except for Toy Story 3, Winters  Bone and The Kids are Allright.  Black Swan is good, really disturbing, not for the faint of heart, but Natalie's performance is truly amazing.
