I'm gonna hate myself later for saying this out loud but I hear the Girl Crush Alert ringing already ... *sigh*

The snow over here is kinda stalling things. I wanted to watch the new Narnia movie today, but I've cancelled those plans now. Let's see how things look tomorrow. I kinda hate it that I'm gonna have to watch it in 3D. There's only one theater here that shows it in English, and it's 3D. Gee, they didn't even have 3D technology at that dinky little theater in Cologne until a few weeks ago. Why does it now have to be a movie that I'd much rather watch in 2D??

I'm going to see the movie on Tuesday. Since my theatre does only show it in 3D, too I chose Tuesday since the prizes are cheaper then and why should I pay more for something I'm not even able to see properly? roll
Recently I remembered the first Narnia movie was the first movie I saw in English in the theatre, back when I was visiting you in 2005, Tina (And look how far I've come since then! Never sat any foot in a German theatre again, except for Alpha Dog in 2006 I guess. LOL). And I've never seen the second one until now. Maybe I should do that some time soon.

The other movie I'd like to see it Nowhere Boy, but there's no sign they'll have it in my theatre yet, so I'll probbly wait for the DVD. And I hope I'm gonna be able to rent Scott Pilgrim on DVD soon(ish). I need to see this movie.

All those pet photos make me miss Momo. I can't believe she'll be gone for two years in February!
I'd really like to have a new cat but my apartment is too small. sad

In other news I FINALLY received some money from the employment agency. Turns out the person responsible for my application was sick. Well, I know everyone can get sick, but there are lots of other people who could have done her stuff, too. It was in their computers, for God's sake. I really hope I'll find a new job soon, I don't want to be dependent them any longer .... roll

I hate snow. I wish it was only there on Christmas Day. The rest of the year it can stay in heaven or wherever it is when it's not snowing. Especially on my birthday. For the fast years it was always that we didn't have snow on Christmas, but on my birthday. This year I'd like to have it the other way round please. roll

Went to the employment agency again today and it looks like I'm finally getting my money. I still need to wait until tomorrow, though. roll

Wow, that sucks, Tina! I hope that'll work out for you.
I would have loved to buy the DVD/BluRay Combo of Eclipse because it has more special features, but since you can't play American BluRays here and I don't have the money to buy a BluRay player I chose to buy the normal DVD. Maybe one day BluRays will work for me, too. I can dream, right? roll

#832 Re: Square Eyes » Post your recent DVD purchases » 15 Dec 10 :: 19:19

It's the best one of the series (so far), you really should see it if you have the chance to.

#833 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Randomness » 15 Dec 10 :: 18:44

I really hope something like this will never happen to me. Not that I've got a lot of money in the bank right now ... all my savings are gone now and the employment agency is still not giving me any of the money they owe me. Instead they want me to fill out applications for a third time. I'll go there tomorrow and make a complaint after that and if that still doesn't make them move their a***s I'll get a lawyer. I need that f***ing money. (Sorry for the rant.)

#834 Re: Square Eyes » Post your recent DVD purchases » 15 Dec 10 :: 18:40

Yeah, German customs made me wait a few days more ... Sorry for the exessive tweeting about that! LOL I've watched the movie already once today and currently I'm waiting for my pizza to arrive for the commentary triple feature I planned for tonight! big_smile

#835 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Randomness » 15 Dec 10 :: 15:40

I'm happy to hear the credit card thingy will soon be over for you, Kate!
Have fun in London! I'd join you if I could ... I love the city so much and I would have loved to stay longer there than just four days in September (although it was already awfully cold ...) *sigh*

Well, actually I won't be alone during christmas because I will of cours be with my parents and brothers, but since we're doing pretty much the same every year because we don't have little children in our family I wouldn't mind spending it alone or somewhere else at least once. As for New Years Eve, I spent that one alone in my apartment last year and I think I'll do that again this year. I don't mind that either because I'm not much of a party girl and I also don't think I need to celebrate the end of a year and/or the start of another. I'll probably order something to eat and just cuddle up in my bed and read a good book. Oh, and of course watch Dinner For One on TV for millions of times. It's what Germans do on NYE. LOL wink

#838 Re: Joan of Arcadia » Random JoA Stuff... » 14 Dec 10 :: 18:05

Excuse me that I have to ask this, but what exactly does "Miss Golden Globe" mean? Does that mean she gets one or she's hosting or what? I have absolutely no idea about this, sorry.

Me too. Same with New Year's Eve. I'm going to sit in my apartment all alone anyway, so there's really no need to "celebrate" that. LOL

Those caps are great! (and yeah, I really get the hands on hips thing ... LOL)

#841 Re: The Bullhorn » Updates » 11 Dec 10 :: 21:54

Will look into this later when I am at my own computer (currently using my dad's). Thanks for uploading.

#842 Re: All About Chris » Chris on Facebook » 10 Dec 10 :: 19:45

Yeah, that's a big problem on Twitter, too. But some of those fake profiles are actually pretty funny. There are millions of fake Twilight cast profiles and one who claimed to be Elizabeth Reaser made me laugh so hard because she sounded like a 12yearold. LOL

#843 Re: Chris On Screen » Fanboys » 09 Dec 10 :: 23:03

Crossing my fingers that it'll work some time! LOL

#844 Re: Chris On Screen » Fanboys » 09 Dec 10 :: 22:44

Love the one with the helmet! LOL (Though I can't really read what he wrote there ...)

#845 Re: All About Chris » Chris on Facebook » 09 Dec 10 :: 22:42

I'll never understand why people think they need to impersonate "celebrities". Does it really make them feel better about themselves? I mean, look at me. My life's also not that great at the moment. I'm still jobless and I pretty much sit alone at home all week. But I'd never think of creating a fake celebrity profile on the internet. I'm online a lot, yeah, but I'm still myself. And I like it. Most of the time. wink

#847 Re: Chris On Screen » The Rite » 09 Dec 10 :: 18:53

Let me guess - still no sign of Chris there, though, right? :doh:

#848 Re: All About Chris » Chris on Facebook » 09 Dec 10 :: 18:49

So he's too unimportant to be followed by the paparazzi (which I am grateful for), but he's not too unimportant for some person to impersonate him on Facebook. Oooh, the myteries of life. LOL

#850 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Road Trippin' » 08 Dec 10 :: 21:25

Dublin and London in a row? Oooooh, JEALOOOOSYYY!!!! I wanna go back there. I don't like sitting alone at home. (Well, at least without a computer! LOL) I need to think of a way to get enough money for that work&travel thing I wanted to do. Anyone wanna give me 1000 Euros? LOL
