So true Deb. I definately had plenty of fights like that with my mother and other members in my family!

#1202 Re: Chris On Screen » American Gun » 01 Dec 09 :: 04:28

He seems to be pretty tough on himself. I noticed though that both he and Marcia Gay Harden were sweating probably from doing those scenes with such intensity over and over again!.  She's always been one of my favorites.

#1203 Re: Square Eyes » All Things Michael Welch » 01 Dec 09 :: 04:25

Agreed Samsy.  The Romeon and juliet scene was great and Mike is so fun at the movies. He steals the scene there for sure!

Deb - Change is never easy but I'm sure you'll do great! Its normal to be nervous before but once your there you'll feel better.

I started a new job myself too. Today was the first day, It went pretty well but I'm still going to have to adjust to their structure and lesson plans. Its tutoring for part time work. I'm 'in between' jobs right now as I move from student teaching to a full time teaching job- Its hard to get one in the middle of the year.

That's the cutest thing I've ever seen! Thank you!

#1206 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Thanksgiving 2009 » 30 Nov 09 :: 04:24

The holiday week went by very quickly!  I hope everyone eases back into the work week okay. Thats always tough to do after a long break or vacation.

Ok so the first time i have watched this movie was last night and i have to say WOW. All the actors in it were fantastic and I loved it. The only issue i have is it feels like there was 3 movies and they tried to squish it into 1. The ending came and i just felt like there was no proper resolution to it all. I dunno. I can see what they were trying to do but i think that the story lines they chose were too big and too in depth to be done properly with just one movie. To me it made more sense to focus on just one story and portray it well than they way they chose to do it. But thats me being negative. I really did love this movie. Bias towards David of course but that story was so compelling. I think they could have done alot more with the Donald Sutherland/Linda Cardellini story line. The only story line to me that felt like it had some form of closure was Forrest Whitaker. But even then i wanted more. This really was a fantastic film but i just wanted more of it

I agree with what you said Warbee. That's how I felt. Although I think your right Deb  that the movie may take a few more viewings to make connections.  I think it is one of Chris' best performances though.

Flying Doctors? Sounds interesting! Early Edition was a great show!  I remember watching that, My So Called Life and Touched By An Angel regularly during those days. smile

#1209 Re: Square Eyes » Twilight (contains spoilers for all books and the movies) » 27 Nov 09 :: 08:53

I agree with the directors comment. I'm think I like Hardwick better personally. Do we know who the director is for the other two>?  I agree with the rainy/cloudy scenes.  Those were awesome in the first one.  I thought the warewolves and vampirese in New Moon were pretty cool.  It had too much teen angst for me in this one though.

#1210 Re: Square Eyes » All Things Michael Welch » 27 Nov 09 :: 08:51

lol I know what you mean.  It's not too bad with all those girls! They didn't go too overboard, but made it fun.  I felt the movie didn't have the same momentum as the last one though. I'll still see the others.

#1211 Re: Square Eyes » All Things Michael Welch » 26 Nov 09 :: 05:18

I thought that would bug me too but it kind of made the movie more enjoyable to watch.  They would scream and shout whenever Jacob or Edward came on screen lol

#1212 Re: Square Eyes » Precious » 26 Nov 09 :: 05:16

My parents saw it and said it was great and an important one to see if it comes to your area. I haven't made it there yet...

#1213 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Randomness » 26 Nov 09 :: 04:59

That was awesome. Thanks for posting it!

#1214 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Thanksgiving 2009 » 26 Nov 09 :: 04:53

Sorry to here you'll be by yourself but sometimes that is a good thing. My mom has been a complete wreck trying to put things together for everyone.  Its nice every once in a while to keep holidays simple and for yourself.

#1215 Re: All About Chris » Hi From Chris... » 26 Nov 09 :: 04:50

Very considerate for him to take time out for his fans!

#1216 Re: Chris On Screen » Infestation (SPOILERS FOR THE MOVIE BEGIN ON PAGE 15) » 26 Nov 09 :: 04:49

The commentary is interesting. He goes on tangents sometimes but he had some insight into how he thought the movie really should have gone.  I thought it interesting to learn that it was filmed in Romania.  He had some interesting things to say about that process.

#1217 Re: Square Eyes » All Things Michael Welch » 24 Nov 09 :: 23:48

I loved Mike's bit in New Moon! He stole the scene! It was great! Has anyone else seen it?

#1218 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Thanksgiving 2009 » 24 Nov 09 :: 23:37

Well we will eat turkey on  behalf of you!  I remember being in Europe during Thanksgiving. The holidays went straight from Halloween to Christmas in the stores! It was a little weird to see Thanksgiving just skipped over like that!

#1219 Re: Chris On Screen » Infestation (SPOILERS FOR THE MOVIE BEGIN ON PAGE 15) » 24 Nov 09 :: 23:34

Loved Infestation. Watched it twice! Seemed like Chris had a lot of liberty with ad libbing and improv. I watched the commentary and most of the lines that were Chris' own words were my favorite.  How awesome is Ray Wise! He's brilliant, and yes Chris and Brooke were a good match for the movie.  I had a lot of fun watching it.

#1220 Re: Introduce Yourself » I was told to introduce myself here, since I am Chris' clone.. » 23 Nov 09 :: 04:55

I see the resemblance and much more so in Sandler than Leboeuf.  Fanboys was great! Thanks for posting!

#1221 Re: Joan of Arcadia » Random JoA Stuff... » 23 Nov 09 :: 04:51

I can't count, maybe five times all the way through?   I only watch seasons from beginning to end on dvd. Even episodes I don't like. I'm that way about cd's too, always listen from the first song to the end. I'm a little ocd that way. I hate skipping!

#1222 Re: All About Chris » 6 Degrees of Chris » 23 Nov 09 :: 04:48

Charlie Hunnam was in Undeclared ( I loved that show!) with Jay Baruchel in Fanboys with Chris!

Just because I finished watching this weeks Castle,

Nathan Fillion

#1224 Re: Square Eyes » Favorite TV Series (not counting JOA) » 20 Nov 09 :: 06:13

I have to say some of my favorites are Roswell, Supernatural, Vampire Diaries, 30 Rock, the Office use to be one of them (it's lost its touch for me...) Those are the ones I watch pretty regularly.  I watch Castle too because I love Nathan Fillion and anything related to him or Joss Whedon!

#1225 Re: Square Eyes » The Unusuals » 20 Nov 09 :: 06:11
