Yeah I agree with you Deb....she should be the poster child for its ok to act out THIS way with it all still in check...haha we have enough Lindsey Lohan style acting out...GAH!

#102 Re: Square Eyes » Amber Tamblyn » 24 Feb 11 :: 22:10

Hahaha lucky us....although that fact kinda does make me like her more. I knew she was a free spirit but this just makes me wanna hug her and be like, YES you let loose and that is ok! So many stars I think are so pressured to only show themselves in a good light. Which usually wouldnt be such a bad thing, but I think that is where things like Tiger Woods happens. No-one is completely squeaky clean, and I love that Amber embraces that about herself!

#103 Re: Square Eyes » Amber Tamblyn » 24 Feb 11 :: 02:50

Hahaha where do you get these photos Deb??

#104 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Joke Of The Day » 24 Feb 11 :: 01:50

At least GM have a sense of humour!

#105 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Road Trippin' » 21 Feb 11 :: 00:47

Turkey was one place I never made it on my travels, but want to go back to Europe and see it! Hope you have a great time TeeJay!

#106 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Road Trippin' » 19 Feb 11 :: 13:22

Alright, so on the trek home...

From May 15th until now. I bet its going to be so strange but FANTASTIC to see everyone. I bet I will cry when I see my mum and dad. I was already getting teary on the plane just thinking about it earlier. But BLERGH!!! does the plane ride REALLY have to be this long? I left Paris on an hour plane ride to London, to Singapore (12 hours) and then after an hour and a half stop over its like another 8 hours or so onto Melbourne....

Anyway might be out of action for a few days while I recover from jetlag and hang out with family and friends from home. I have had such a fantastic experience and feel truly blessed to have the opportunity to do it. I would recommend traveling to anyone! Just maybe not for as long as I have....or if you do wanna go for as long, STOP! rest in one spot for a little while. I just felt so exhausted so often. Anyway better run. Wouldnt want to miss the connecting flight now!!

Love you guys!

#107 Re: Square Eyes » James Franco Appreciation Thread » 19 Feb 11 :: 13:16

Ok so sitting in Singapore airport waiting for the plane to refuel....watched this movie on the flight over. He really does carry the movie completely. I mean if Franco had done a bad job the movie would have been terrible, but he was fantastic and I did errr "enjoy" the movie. It was one of those that was done very well but I cant say I enjoyed watching it. I can still remember when the actual guy, Aron was found. Honestly the idea does make me feel kinda ill. I think for the story line of a guy stuck under a rock for so long though....they really managed to find something intriguing to watch. I dont think they could have done a better job of it, but the premise of the entire movie makes me feel abit queasy. I especially love that Franco comes across as normal. I was half expecting them to "pretty boy" him up from the trailer and it just wouldnt have felt right. But over all, this movie has my stamp of approval smile Well done!

#109 Re: Square Eyes » Come on down and meet your maker. Come on down and cast The Stand... » 12 Feb 11 :: 19:10

Stand by Me is my favourite movie of all time hands down, but when people start talking Stephen King...I always seem to forget it is a Stephen King adaption.

#110 Re: Square Eyes » Sequels, Prequels, Reboots, Adapatations » 11 Feb 11 :: 19:52

Oh Ryan Gosling is amazing! I would be willing to at very least consider ANYTHING he is in smile

#111 Re: Square Eyes » Misc Stuff » 10 Feb 11 :: 19:57

In the first photo he kinda reminds me of Jesse Spencer from House. What else has he been in Deb? I dont recognise him but I hold you opinion in high regard and if you say he is good I wouldnt mind checking him out for myself smile

#112 Re: Square Eyes » Come on down and meet your maker. Come on down and cast The Stand... » 10 Feb 11 :: 18:49

Nice work Samsy! I always try to read more, but traveling has made it difficult to carry books. But buses, trains, planes...all perfect for reading so I have read about 5 books so far. Ha, its quite terrible really. I usually read so much more. Oh and speaking of Stephen King. Dolores Claibourne! Such an amazing book. Its actually one of my favourites

#114 Re: Square Eyes » All Things Michael Welch » 06 Feb 11 :: 04:32

Hahaha very true about abducting the thread, I just wanted to agree with your earlier comment smile I will be able to be alot more reliable watcher of both movies and tv once I get back home. For now its mostly just what I can get online...

#115 Re: Square Eyes » All Things Michael Welch » 05 Feb 11 :: 16:08

Hahaha I can understand your obsession there TeeJay. I have gotten into the show myself. Although I never really liked how they did the "Kate" angle. It just never really fitted well with me, you know. But I still enjoy the show. Especially Moz smile He is such a funny character! Such an oddball...

#116 Re: Square Eyes » All Things Michael Welch » 05 Feb 11 :: 05:43

I ADORE BONES!!! OH I am sooooo excited for this smile smile smile

#117 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Randomness » 04 Feb 11 :: 21:20

Weird....so its not a person taking your money but instead of taking $1 out some computer glitch has it take out $100 or something like that?

#118 Re: Chris On Screen » Thule - New Short Film » 04 Feb 11 :: 19:39

I wonder whether the Welch's might go. Jill especially seemed to really like Chris. They may not know about it though....I wish someone could go!!! But yeah right now I am in Seville, Spain.....a little far away at the moment smile And on that note, I am off to a spanish housewarming party. HAHA

#119 Re: Square Eyes » Sequels, Prequels, Reboots, Adapatations » 29 Jan 11 :: 19:20

#120 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Randomness » 28 Jan 11 :: 12:21

Thanks guys! Haha so Australia Day in Rome was rather epic night....Had so much fun and met so many other Aussies while traveling and also inducted a bunch into being Aussie for the night. HAHAHA honestly it really didnt matter where you came from if you wanted to be Australian for the day/night we took you in! Facepaint, flags, drinks....everything everywhere. And even in this weather we still had guys trying to get naked HAHAHA

#121 Re: Chris On Screen » Fanboys » 28 Jan 11 :: 11:56

Haha nope, have been really lucky with my travels and see all these things happening where I am on TV but I havent seen any of it! All good. Its ok Anne, I know that not all of south Germany is Bavaria....if it makes you feel any better I actually thought Bavaria was smaller that what it really is before I got to Germany. Haha direct flight to Deb huh? Sounds like a good idea to me!

#122 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Randomness » 25 Jan 11 :: 22:34

Considering the amount of fan fiction we have being produced by people on the board I am sure we have SOME people on the board that would consider themselves writers....I know I have very little creativity and am completely envious of those that are creative. But regardless I am sure you could find someone to help collaborate with you Simon

#123 Re: Chris On Screen » Fanboys » 25 Jan 11 :: 22:31

Would have been cool...but oh well. I was in London during the riots...well the last day of the riots was like my first day there...something like that anyway

#124 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Randomness » 25 Jan 11 :: 19:52

No worries Deb! Haha if people didnt realise Australia Day is like the equivalent of Independance Day in the U.S. I am sorry though because I dont know of the equivalent holiday in Germany or other countries or if there even is one. It is nicnamed "invasion day" by those that are cynical of our countries origins. But it is declared as the day that Australia became a colony under British rule. Usually a day for a bbq (australian style which is pretty much just grilling), some form of water....beach or pool either will do, lots of beer, and the hottest 100 countdown on the radio. I am kinda sad to be missing it actually. It is one of my favourite holidays

#125 Re: Chris On Screen » Fanboys » 25 Jan 11 :: 19:44

Possibly...maybe with the younger generation coming through though it might get more popular. I can't be sure...Whereabouts in Germany are you from? I know TJ has said she is in the west, but I cant remember whereabouts you are. Stuttgard is just to the west of centre yeah? I always think of Frankfurt as the very centre of Germany and work out from there. I have met many Germans during my travels and have loved all of them. The old-fashioned stereotype of strict and uptight definitely does not fit the younger generations of Germans that I have met. They really are amongst the friendliest people I have met
