Yeah, if Chris's official crap site ever gets up and running properly.  TeeJay and I had a couple of conversations about how cool it would be if we could actually finagle our way to being his official site someday.  When we go live, we should send a link to his management somehow and make that offer.  You never know what might happen.  Maybe they're unhappy with the official crap site too.

Or you're constantly on the lookout for hoodies in Adamy colors like brown, burgundy, forest green, black, etc.

I don't know if it's live or not.  Probably.  And he's not listed as an attendee on the website, but that doesn't mean much.  If he is in town, he'll probably go.  All nominees are invited to the show.  Of course I will tape it.  If he's there, great, if not, I'll just tape over it.  And you know I'll post any sightings as soon as they happen.

PS: This reminds me to ask, who's the girl in the JF premiere photos with Ryan and Chris?

I like what you did with the Eric & Sean section.  Looks great!

So I guess I'll be watching the Teen Choice Awards & preshow Sunday night.  It's a pretty silly show and pointless award.  And they won't win anyway, but what if he's there like at the MTV Movie Awards and maybe he makes it on camera this time?

Damn, that's an awesome piece of work from Chris! Thanks for the effort you put into cutting that together, Teejay. It's excellent. Best quality we've had so far.

I think usually, it's a combination of actor and agent chosing the clips for the reel.  They may also have different reels for different kinds of jobs.  He probably has a kid reel and an adult reel since he's been at this so long.

#18608 All About Chris » The Three Jobs Principle » 17 Aug 06 :: 21:13

I've been meaning to post about this for a long time, but I always forget when I'm actually sitting in front of the computer.  So here goes:

A long time ago, I read this article about acting where someone said the goal of any actor is to take jobs that will get them more jobs.  Seems like a no-brainer, huh?  Well, yeah.  But this article said that any actor can stay busy if each job he takes lands him three more jobs, and each one of those jobs lands him three more jobs, etc.  You know, kinda like a pyramid marketing thing.

Chris seems to have found a way to put this principle into play.  It seems like every time we hear about a new role, another one and then another one and then another one always follows.  It's insane!  But wonderful for his bank account and his resume, I guess.  Kinda makes me proud.  I mean, really, take a look at any other 21-year-old actor you can think of and check their credits.  How many others have as much work under their belts as our guy?

Another thing I wanted to point out was that he has benefitted enormously from being a part of the Sony stable.  Just think, he was probably able to walk over from the JOA set to the SM set on the same lot.  And Huff was shot there too.  I have this funny mental image of him on the last day shooting JOA.  He goes from the set to the studio barber's chair, gets his fresh, new Marc GSW haircut, and walks over to shoot that.  Then, a few days later, with his chin all stubbly, he comes back to shoot Huff: Sweet Release.  I know it didn't happen like that.  But it's funny to think that it could've.  Man, those lucky employees on the Sony lot.  They got to watch him grow up over there.

What we wouldn't give...

Of course, I don't mind the hair at all.  It's kinda sessy.  big_smile

Awesome!  I've been dying to see this again.  That scene when he finally explains what happened just tears my heart out.  I'll be downloading and watching this as soon as I get home.  Man, he should let us produce his next demo reel!

Cyber Fist!  I love that!  We'll have to hang onto that one to use in the future.  I haven't been back to IMDb so I didn't see the "apology".  Whatever, dude.  And hey, I saw some idiot posting that Amber was fat on the IMDb JOA boards and lit into him.  What a shallow piece of crap that guy is.  And she so not fat.  She's voluptous and just gorgeous.  I'd trade appearances with her any day.  Who the hell do these stupid men want us to look like anyway?  Paris Friggin' Hilton?  No way!  I'd rather die than look like that piece of human trash.

OK, enough with the ranting.

Check it out!  The Fanboys thread is the first one to reach two pages!  Go figure...

#18614 Re: Chris On Screen » Fanboys » 17 Aug 06 :: 16:53

Yeah, is that official?  And is that an MGM logo I see in the right corner?  Why did I think New Line was distributing the movie?  And what's the logo on the left side?

#18615 Re: Chris On Screen » Strong Medicine » 17 Aug 06 :: 16:51

Oh yes, Marc cried.  Mostly when he was younger.  I thought we even had a tearful Marc pic in the gallery here but I guess it was on some other site.  Marc was a fully realized character.  As I've said before he had a great arc.  He went from being kind of a precocious brat to a fine, upstanding young man.  The 4 eps I sent you, TeeJay attest to that.

We get noble Marc, protecting his best friend from her abusive lout of a boyfriend; studious Marc trying to graduate high school a year early (he hated school as a kid); kind and responsible Marc coming home from college and stepping up to be a man when he thinks he may have gotten his ex-girlfriend pregnant; and finally we get the fine young man who gives his mother away at her wedding.  I just love this guy!

And Chris was brilliant at playing all the many colors and layers they gave him over the 6-year run of the show.  I admire him for always coming back to play Marc whenever they needed him and he was available.  A lot of actors wouldn't do that.

Did you see the latest?  Now, the dumbass is trying to say he just posted that because he wanted to see if anyone was listening.  Mmmmmkay...  Stupid Psycho Numbnuts.

#18617 Re: All About Chris » All you IMDb jerks out there » 16 Aug 06 :: 20:13

Here, here!  I get so angry almost everytime I got to the CM IMDb board.  I keep telling myself not to go there.  But then again, if I had cruised by the Fanboys IMDb board that one time, I would never have stumbled across Sean and we wouldn't have met two amazingly cool guys in Sean and Ken.  So it's a double-edged light-saber.

Do people behave this way on the boards of other actors over there?  Or are we particularly "blessed" on the CM board?

#18618 Re: All About Chris » Escaping into dreamland » 16 Aug 06 :: 16:35

I just meant that we have way more material than anyone else will ever have so that we don't really "need" to screencap the Fanboys DVD.  Sure, it will be great to do it.  And yeah, there will probably be stuff we don't have.  But we'll always have stuff no one else has.  Unless we're allowed to share it one day.  We might still be hog-tied till after the movie is released, but afterward, I don't see how they can stop us from posting pics, or why they would care anymore.  It's not like we're selling them for profit or something.

But, as always, I'm pining for Calvin news or pics.  Yeah, you can put emailing the prodco again on the to-do list.  Between them and the director, maybe we can come up with one measley pic, for gosh sakes.

I'd like to continue with James's torture of BH sometime.  Right now, I'm not fuming like I was about a week ago so maybe I'll let it ride for a while.  Just watched Jump last night so I have a good taste in my mouth today and I don't wanna spoil it and fall into another funk.

Yes, the eps I mentioned above are on the tape.  I'm only sorry that I couldn't find the wet dream ep.  That's really cute.  But anyway, yes!  I love his GSW scenes!  He's just so beautiful and elegant in that tux.  And the expressions on his face in the second scene are utterly priceless!

TeeJay, do you have that James/Barbara Hall thing I sent you?  This is the thread for that was well.  can you post it here for me?

Deb

#18623 Re: All About Chris » The Brothers Marquette » 14 Aug 06 :: 23:58

I don't know what else to say.  I'm obviously wrong, so I slink away with a shrug.

#18625 Re: All About Chris » The Brothers Marquette » 14 Aug 06 :: 18:22

Also, I kinda meant we could use this thread for sightings that are upcoming, not in the past.  But, whatever.

And the birthdates go like this:

CM - 10/3/84
EM - ???
SM - 6/30/88

IMDb says both Sean & Eric are younger.
