Yeah, I do prefer the complex shows to most other stuff, and there's way more material to talk about with other people, it can be quite fun having a discussion trying to decipher what's going on, which is definately part of the fun.
Yeah, it makes sense, I've seen shaun of the dead, quite liked it, even though I'm not really into horrors, it was funny enough to negate the gore if you understand what I mean.
So, do you have an idea about how much of this movie is going to be comedy, how much is going to be horror?
That's interesting, I figured that Michael and Walt wouldn't make it away from the island. But then again, I suppose, just cos Michael will be on Lost, doesn't mean he'll be on that island.
I swear, sometimes, this show is way too confusing for my brain to handle.
Yeah, there's really not that much variety in radio stations in New Zealand, there's a couple of what you'd call top 40 stations, one of which is the one that I predominently listen to. There's a rock station, which is okay, some of the time, an rap and r'n'b station which I detest, and a couple of stations with older songs mixed in with a few of the new ones, I listen to one of them some of time, actually a year I go it was pretty much the only station I listened to but then I went back to top 40. Then of course you have AM radio which is basically newstalk talkback stations and your religious orientated stations, neither of which I listen to. And on every station, there's lots of ads, like 10minutes + an hour.
There's not much to choose from, which is why iTunes is so appealing, songs I like and no ads, OMG, dream come true. ![]()
That umbrella song does have a way of sticking around in your head, most annoyingly. ![]()
I was watching What About Brian last night, flipped over the channel and saw Will sleazing all over Debra Messing. Freaked me out a little I have to say, I was not expecting to see him. I know it's not actually Will, but I can't help it that my immediate reaction is 'hey it's Will Giradi cheating on Helen'.
Mine was "nothing compares 2 U" by Sinead O'Connor, nice song, and I find it a little ironic considering that song titles with numbers in substitute for letters, have a way of irking me. ![]()
The finale showed in NZ last wednesday, I was kind of hoping for more. They didn't exactly give us any answers (of course this show never really answers anything anyway). I feel like they needed to give us more, especially since we're gonna have to wait till next year for anything new. I know Lost makes a practice of opening more questions than giving answers, but I feel like they're going overboard, and I know so many people who have/are close to stopping watching because they're dragging it out way too much.
I just don't like the Live Earth thing, for one, the "celebraties" are just jumping on the bandwagon because it's trendy to "care for the environment". If you think about all the power & resources that are used for these 100+ gigs, you gotta ask yourself, whose really helping the environment?
I've heard of square eyes before.
Anyway, I do love Little Miss Sunshine, I thought it was a great movie. Funny, but original, I loved how they had to push the bus to get it going, and run along.
"Everyone just pretend to be normal."
Oh, yeah Naveen Andrews, he's another good pro for watching Lost. Season 3 is finalling in NZ this Wednesday - exciting stuff.
I would join you guys, but I'm afraid 7am on a Monday is a little too early for me.
If we're talking Lost men...Josh Holloway ![]()
the song would not be so bad if the lyrics would not be so lame and she wouldn't be fergie ( and to think i was ok with her when she was in black eyed peas ).
I know, the lyrics ruin it, not that it would've been great without them, so I guess it's no great loss. It was hard to decide whether to buy the vid or not, hot Milo vs. crappy song. Milo won out in the end though. ![]()
I guess it's about time I did the questionnaire.
What's the first thing your ever saw Chris in?
Joan of Arcadia
What's your favorite thing he's done so far?
Joan of Arcadia
What's your favorite scene in that movie/show?
My favourite scene, well there's several that I like - the scene in Jump where Helen reads out the letter.
Who's your favorite Chris character and why?
Adam. He's the character I've seen the most of, he's that kinda shy guy that doesn't care about the high school popularity crap. Just the kind of character that I like, and is a central love interest, which helps.
Do you remember the first time you Googled Chris? What site did you land on?
christopher-marquette.com . That was a while ago, 2005 I guess, when I was really getting into JoA.
What were you looking for when you found our website or how else did you stumble across it?
Got directed here from the versatile msg board.
What role in what movie --- any movie --- past, present or potential would you love to see Chris play?
I can't really think of any, so I'm just going to say a Peter Jackson movie, preferably with some shot in NZ, so he'll come to an NZ premiere. Hehe.
Seen any Chris movies in a theatre?
No, not many have come here.
Own any Chris movies?
Just Friends, JoA, The girl next door.
Have anything special recorded off TV?
That would be a 'no'.
What do you like most about Chris?
Okay, I'm really bad at these type of questions, I just like him. I like a few different actors, but not many to this extent, and I guess it's down to the fact that he's talented, he's attractive, but not in an Orlando Bloom, Brad Pitt way (although I personally don't really find either that attractive), and just seems like he's a nice guy at the end of the day. I think a lot of the time that shines through, some actors just seem like they're up themselves and Chris seems more down to earth.
If you could ask Chris one question, what would you ask?
One question. Can't really think of one -okay, 'can you uncancel JoA?" I guess I already know the answer.
Do you have any of Chris's lines that you can quote off the top of your head?
'I believe, that you believe' - I love that line.
'F**k her for me, Matt, f**k her for meee.' - that's pretty much a classic.
Have you met Chris in person? If so, tell us about it
Yeah, sure.
If you could have him autograph one item or photo, what would you pick and why?
I guess, like Silvia was saying, JoA box set or a pic from JoA.
What would you want to see Chris doing next out of these?
a) a very dark and suspenseful thriller
b) a sitcom
c) a quirky and/or romantic comedy
d) a horror movie
e) a drama TV show
f) an action movie
g) a dramatic movie
h) a medical or cop show
i) a theater play
j) something else entirely (if so, what?)
Well, either a) because I'd love to watch it, especially with Chris in it. e) provided it came to nz or g). a sitcom would be awesome
I don't like any hot guys from sports, but that's mainly because I don't watch any sports.
Milo Ventimiglia's the reason I started to watch Heroes, it's has it's only merit, but Milo definately helps the show a lot! I bought the fergie vid just cos he looks so hot in it, of course I have to mute it everytime I watch, but it's still worth it. ![]()
As for "other guys", for me it's Milo Ventimiglia, Rider Strong, Brendan Fehr, Clay Aiken, Joshua Jackson... that's really the main ones, otherwise I would probably go on forever.
so i spoiled myself.. i was watching tv todday and diva was showing joa... so i wa slike hey i hvnt had time to watch it on dvd ill watch it now.. my mom was home from work so we both watched it.. it was trial and error.. and by the end we were both crying and throwing pillows at the tv... i .. i.. ... i need a hug
JoA was on here today, and it was Independance Day. Which is kind of where the crap starts to hit the fan, if you ask me.
I'm going to have to save up some movie money because Alpha Dog is being released here in NZ on the 30th of Aug, and The Invisible is listed in coming soon not far after, although the date is TBC. New Chris movies have been a long time coming here though.
If there's ever any screenings in New Zealand, let me know and I'll be there, lol.
Otherwise, it's a little outta the way. Pity no one here could go.
Well it depends on what part of NZ. I'm probably biast in that I live in quite a warm area of NZ, but some parts like the south can get quite cold. And Auckland often has "four seasons in one day" (to quote a Crowded House song).
I think it's a little warmer here in NZ ![]()
I love Plain white tees - Hate, I haven't heard hey there Delilah though.
The inner city is always really busy, but compared to other countries big cities it's probably nothing. After all, Auckland is the biggest city and has a quarter of the population. I've spent many hours staring outside the car windows at endless farmland which is basically everywhere between the cities. Lot's of cows, lot's of sheep. But don't start on the sheep jokes, we get enough of them from the Australians and they're not even that funny. ![]()
I'm glad you think NZ is green, there's always a big thing about how "not green" we actually are, when our image is as a "clean green" country. Honestly though, I've only ever been to Melbourne which is quite similiar in many ways, so I can't compare that well.
