That is so awesome Simon I hope you love "Stand By Me" as much as I do. Please let me knoe what you thought of it.
I liked Ghost Town a lot but I find Ricky Gervais very funny.  I thought his stand up comedy show on HBO was gold.  I also liked Step Brothers,  those two were funnier in Talladega Nights though (I think).
I want to see "Burn After Reading" is it good?

#2 Re: Square Eyes » Misc Stuff » 14 Jul 09 :: 17:40

Oh I liked the episode I was just expecting something different.  I thought it was funny to see Vince drive.  I was wondering if that comment he makes on the talk show about bribing the road test guy into giving him his license is going to come back and bite him.  I also thought it was funny that they were back in one of the old houses again.

It was a great ending when Vince comes home to an empty house though.  Who do you think will have a bigger problem being alone Eric or Vince?

What did you think of last season? I thought it was great to see the downside of his fame but I know a lot of people complained about it not having as much partying.

I also love Entourage I think it is a awesome show, the characters are great.  Do you watch True Blood at all?

#3 Re: Square Eyes » Misc Stuff » 14 Jul 09 :: 17:25

I saw parts of Tracy Fragments and wasn't a big fan of the picture in picture things either.  It was a sensory overload for me I can usually only watch one screen at a time and since I didn't start from the beginning I was a bit confused.

Does anyone watch Entourage on here? I thought the new episode was a little slow considering that it left on such a high note last year.

Congratulations on the wedding.  I am getting married in August 2010 too with just a small wedding.  Hope it all works out for you.

The disgusting part is that $15,000 to embarrass your cat and it has to be redone every three months.

Oh it was totally worth rewatching and buying on DVD.  I also know large parts by heart especially the scene where Chris Chambers breaks down to Gordy about the lunch money, River Phoenix did such a great job on that scene.
I definately recommend watching it Simon it is a great movie.  Actually when I bought it the clerk told me a customer told him he never had seen it either.  The clerk told him to buy the movie, go home and watch it immediately and never admit to anyone he had never seen it before.  I guess the customer did buy it.

#6 Re: Square Eyes » Post your recent DVD purchases » 12 Jul 09 :: 23:31

I just bought Stand By me and watched it for the first time in a long time.  I use to watch it constantly when I was a kid and teenager, I had the maddest crush in River Phoenix.  I still love watching it and him.

Okay to keep this going I am just going to put suggest a different actor.

How about Harvey Keitel?

#8 Re: All About Chris » 6 Degrees of Chris » 11 Jul 09 :: 21:07

Paul Gross is the main character in the movie actually, he plays Leslie Neilsen's son who comes back to his hometown after leaving without an explanation years before.  Leslie Neilsen sort of steals all the scenes he is in though, I bought this movie mostly because I love Leslie Neilsen in it.

#9 Re: All About Chris » 6 Degrees of Chris » 11 Jul 09 :: 20:50

I may have picked too much of a Canadian actor but there is a connection I made sure of that.  The movie is a Canadian one about curling with Leslie Neilsen called Men with Brooms. Thats a pretty obvious hint but oh well.

Do you guys think Mick beat up on people because he was a repressed homosexual?  Just like on the Alpha Dog MB on IMDb, some guy is making a case that everything Mick did was covering up the fact that he had it bad for Charlie.

I was just over there and read that post about Mick being a repressed homosexual.  I don't have an account over there but what I wanted to say was that the one scene he mentions about Mick smelling Charlie's clothes in incorrect.  Mick is actually smelling the clothes that Leo gave him just before at the poker game.  He actually smells them and rubs it against his cheek so he is admiring them not repressing homosexuality.  I think that the guy is seeing something in himself there.

Thank you TJ right ater I wrote that comment I noticed another board dedicated to it.
I think some people will use any excuse to claim they are not fit to work.  I think the real tradegy is how young he was when he died and how sudden it seemed.  He made his contribution to the world and it spoke to many people just like Diana (but in different ways obviously).

#22 Re: Introduce Yourself » Our little questionnaire ::: Come on in and answer it » 23 Jun 09 :: 05:08

Oh he looks in your eyes when you talk? I love it when people do that it makes you feel they are really listening. You are a stronger woman than I because I would never have spit a sentence out if he was looking in my eyes when I tried to talk ha ha.  And "deep and bassy" is a great way to describe his voice too!
My name is Trudy but you can call me anything you want as long as it isn't late for dinner.  (Yeah I am the kind of geek who likes to pull out cliches whenever possible but its true I don't like being late for dinner).

#23 Re: Introduce Yourself » Our little questionnaire ::: Come on in and answer it » 23 Jun 09 :: 04:20

What's the first thing your ever saw Chris in?
I probably saw him on Touched By An Angel because I use to watch it with my Mom all the time but I don't actually remember noticing him so I guess the true answer would be Joan Of Arcadia.

What's your favorite thing he's done so far?
I really like Fanboys (but partly because I love Star Wars), Joan of Arcadia and American Gun.

What's your favorite scene in that movie/show?
Fanboys: Two favorite scenes actually.  The scene where they fight about Luke and Leia's relationship and the scene by the campfire at the end.
JoA: I just liked his character in general I cannot remember a specific scene right at the moment but I do remember getting that excited feeling the first time they kissed though.
American Gun: When his Mom tells him that he is going to the same school his brother went to.

Who's your favorite Chris character and why?
Adam probably because that is where I had seen him the most.  I haven't seen the movie but watched the scenes of Remember the Daze on this website and thought that the Felix character just seemed funny and reminded me a little of a cross between Johnny Depp in "Fear and Loathing In Las Vegas" and Rory Cochrane in "Dazed and Confused".

Do you remember the first time you Googled Chris?  What site did you land on?
I don't remember Googling him but I do remember it had to be around the time that Joan of Arcadia had come out and I was really into Internet Movie Database then so I remember being on there a lot.

What were you looking for when you found our website or how else did you stumble across it?
This time I did Google him. I had just finished watching Fanboys and remembered how good Chris Marquette was (and cute) so I was looking for pictures and information on him when I found this cool website.

What role in what movie --- any movie --- past, present or potential would you love to see Chris play?
I think he would be good in something that is dramatic and romantic (like PS, I Love You but not necessarily that specific movie).

Seen any Chris movies in a theatre?
No I haven't sadly but hopefully one day soon I will.

Own any Chris movies?
I own Fanboys.

Have anything special recorded off TV?
I still have all the Joan of Arcadia episodes on VHS in my closet, does that count?

What do you like most about Chris?
I really like the sound of his voice, I could listen to that voice all day.  I thought right away he should do a audiobook and then I saw that the question had been asked in one of the interviews you had done, that was awesome! This is a stupid one but i also like the shape of his lips.  Besides the physical stuff I like his subtle physical comedy and how sweet and genuine he seems in interviews.

If you could ask Chris one question, what would you ask?
What does he consider to be a dream role to play and What has he noticed is different about being an adult actor and an child actor.

Do you have any of Chris's lines that you can quote off the top of your head?
Off the top of my head I can only think of Fanboys quotes and
"Why am I not surprised that you are a shover?" (Huff)
"You're like a mongaloid baby" (Remember the Daze)

Have you met Chris in person? If so, tell us about it.
No I haven't but from what I have read on this site I bet it wouldn't be disappointing.

If you could have him autograph one item or photo, what would you pick and why?
Either just a picture of him from Fanboys (because I really laughed in that movie) or I would dig up my old autograph book I use to have a kid and have him sign amoung the collection of my friends autographs.  I always thought it would be fun to have a celebrities signature in it.

What would you want to see Chris doing next out of these?
a) a very dark and suspenseful thriller
b) a sitcom
c) a quirky and/or romantic comedy
d) a horror movie
e) a drama TV show
f) an action movie
g) a dramatic movie
h) a medical or cop show
i) a theater play
j) something else entirely (if so, what?)

I think I would like to see him in either (A) or (G) I think.  But really I probably wouldn't be picky.

Oh okay I will go to that board in a minute but thank you for the welcome. I guess I will pick John Belushi as the next person.

#25 Re: All About Chris » 6 Degrees of Chris » 23 Jun 09 :: 03:18

This is the first time I have ever written on here but I think I can answer the Donna Summers one if she was a guest star on Family Matters.  Donna Summers guest starred on Family Matters with Reginald VelJohnson who played a cop in Die Hard with Bruce Willis who was in Alpha Dog with Christopher Marquette.
