Yeah, me too!
This is not only unfair to the fans, it's also sad for the actors, because nobody gets to see their work. So what's so great about pushing it back?   Grmblllll!!! mad

#6828 Re: Fanart » Avatars » 10 Dec 06 :: 18:42

We have more Fanboys avatars in our gallery? I can see only one.

#6829 Re: Chris On Screen » Just Friends » 10 Dec 06 :: 18:38

Well, the movie itself is surely not a masterpiece, but it's funny once in a while. I ususally prefer drama, but I also love comedy, if it's not too silly. But sometimes I need a movie I don't have to think about that much, so JF sometimes comes in handy. LOL But of course I wouldn't watch it if Chris wasn't in it.

I am so looking forward to this movie!

I guess we all are. I'm just a little upset because they obviously pushed the release date back to August '07. roll

Welcome on the boards. I guess we met before, did we? Because SWJaggy sounds familiar to me.

We are sometimes a little crazy here, I hope you don't mind. We are not that scary in real life. wink

#6833 Re: Chris On Screen » Our tribute to Chris in Fanboys: The Fanboys Countdown » 10 Dec 06 :: 17:03

They announced it for February, but now they obviously pushed it back until August. Which is NOT FUNNY.

#6834 Re: Chris On Screen » Just Friends » 10 Dec 06 :: 15:10

Maybe you could go to check how they translated the ham thing ... that's the only interest I would have in the dubbed version. If I could afford it, I'd go and check that out and probably leave the theater after that. But it's your decision.

LOL
Tina, this is going to be your second job career, huh? wink

I grew up with the German version of Sesame Street, Die Sendung mit der Maus (= The Show With The Mouse) and Löwenzahn (= Dandelion). I'm sure I watched a few other shows, maybe I should ask my parents about that some time. smile

LOL, Oh God, me too! Plus I watched "Disney Club" every weekend. They were showing "Duck Tales"! I loved them! LOL
Oh, good old childhood! big_smile
Yeah, the Teletubbies! I hate them. If I should have children in near or distant future, I will NOT allow them to watch that TV crap. roll

Did you guys know that the JoA staff --- cast and crew --- gathered after every show was complete and watched it together before it aired on TV?   I didn't.

I didn't either. Wow, that's kinda cool!
So there is at least a little information in the producer commentaries. I was so mad because they didn't record any cast commentaries. roll

And aren't we also glad that Chris didn't book the part?

I guess we are because if he did, he probably couldn't have made The Tic Code.

#6840 Re: Chris On Screen » Alpha Dog (STRONG LANGUAGE & ADULT CONTENT) » 09 Dec 06 :: 21:57

Yep, it's mostly about JT. But still it's Alpha Dog. wink

#6841 Re: Chris On Screen » The Tic Code » 09 Dec 06 :: 21:11

You see, that's something else that I love about the movie. big_smile
Yeah, I also often think about how Adam looked when he was 12, not only because I am writing a fanfiction with flashbacks back to the time when he was. And yeah, the eyebrows. LOL

#6842 Re: Chris On Screen » Fanboys » 09 Dec 06 :: 20:10

Coooooooooool video snippet! big_smile

They'll probably give Chris the same stupid voice he will have in Wild X-Mas (excuse me, Just Friends) and use Ozan Ünal for Sam in Fanboys.

I guess so. Poor Chris and Sam. I think I am going to wait for the DVD. English and subtitles work for me, but I am not going to see some stupid dubbing.
Oh, and God, please make me understand English perfectly, not speak. Or rather both. LOL

I watched Season 1 in German, and I did see the episode. But I can't remember seeing him. And why didn't I realize that it was Eli's German voice? Well, maybe because I haven't watched the dubbed version of GND in ages. And I am not going to do it again.

#6846 Re: Chris On Screen » Fanboys » 09 Dec 06 :: 16:32

What, they gave Sam this voice, too??? yikes
I wonder if he's going to dub one of them in Fanboys too ...

Oooh, God, make me speak English perfectly please, I don't want to listen to dubbed movies EVER again! roll

#6847 Re: Chris On Screen » The Tic Code » 09 Dec 06 :: 12:09

I found the review some time ago when I was looking for info about the movie. This is such a cute pic.

#6848 Re: Die himmlische Joan » Sumpfnase????? » 09 Dec 06 :: 00:08

#6849 Re: Joan of Arcadia » JoA in German » 09 Dec 06 :: 00:01

You don't have to tell me ... I watched it on TV! roll

#6850 Re: Chris On Screen » Fanboys » 08 Dec 06 :: 23:48

Yeah, the licensing stuff was kinda boring, but it was interesting to learn what music supervisors do.
