deb i hope you are all right. tornados scare me a lot ( well the idea of a tornado because we don't have them in romania ).
keep my fingers crossed for everybody in that area

#127 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Road Trippin' » 16 Mar 08 :: 02:42

in romania everything got a lot more expensive after we joined the european comunity. but the problem is the cost is the only thing that change, the services are still the same, which is pretty bad.
constanta is my home so i like it because of that. but if you are a foreigner it's not really worth visiting.
the cities i would recomaned from romania are sibiu and brasov. sibiu is really great. it benefited a lot from being the european cultural this year.
romania has great places when it comes to nature. but unfortunately like tina said the infrastructure still sucks big time.

i am going to goteburg monday morning. i am really curious. i heard that is also very expensive.:(

tina, i always wanted to see ireland and scotland and after what you said i feel even more i really have to manage a way to visit them sometime.

kisses everybody smile

#128 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Road Trippin' » 15 Mar 08 :: 21:27

i will tell you about romania as soon as i go home.
tine you are totally right about bucharest. it is pretty awful. i don't like it at all.

munich is really expensive yikes i don't understand why. it is not so wonderful. i mean it's nice and it's clean and it has some nice gardens. but when i get the bill at the restaurant i feel like fainting. yikes

#129 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Road Trippin' » 15 Mar 08 :: 03:20

i am from romania , a city called constanta.

tina, any job that involves travelling sounds very cool to me!!!:)

anytime i read something about this movie and the true events behind the movie i feel so emotional. sad

#134 Re: Square Eyes » Misc Stuff » 01 Mar 08 :: 22:51

i didn't know where to say this.
i saw this very nice little movie last night " rocket science ". i really, really enjoyed it. it's not a big ideas movie. it's a coming of age, wondering about life movie but not in a very serious way. the movie is deep but without frowning while doing it.
i like it.

#135 Re: Square Eyes » Entertainment Weekly's 'Top 30 Under 30 - Actors' » 01 Mar 08 :: 22:45

i didn't get some of the names there. there were like 2 or 3 that i never saw in a movie, so maybe they were good but i didn't saw them.
but zac efron and no chris??? really???:o what were they smoking???? i am sorry for zac but i only saw him in what was an enormous stupid movie. there was no way i could apreciate him in that even if he was good.
also, channing tatum is a nice looking guy and i really liked his work but i think he is just starting to show what he can do. so why he gets acknowledged and chris doesn't.
also i liked justin in alpha dog. but he also only did a couple of movies. i saw him in alpha dog and edison and he was kind of the same. i need to se more range before i say he is an actor.

in my opinion chris and kevin zegers should definitely be there. i love them both i saw them in hard to achieve performances.
who are the people that did this list????:rolleyes:

but any comments aside i want to say : wow, what a talented bunch of people under 30. bravo!!!!

#136 Re: Square Eyes » Misc Stuff » 25 Feb 08 :: 05:01

#137 Re: Square Eyes » Misc Stuff » 25 Feb 08 :: 03:59

#139 Re: Chris On Screen » Miscellaneous Stuff » 21 Feb 08 :: 06:02

damm that is more complicated than i imagined.
oh well, thanks for the explanation. smile
is he all right now? i mean after leaving his manager.

#140 Re: Chris On Screen » The Girl Next Door (ADULT LANGUAGE!!!) » 21 Feb 08 :: 05:58

yes eli's character is really great. and the fact that is klitsy that turns out to be the one saving the tripod is a really nice thing in the movie.
eli : the beach is for fags man!!!! tongue
eli : just learn to like it!!! :rofl:

#141 Re: Chris On Screen » Miscellaneous Stuff » 21 Feb 08 :: 05:54

probably this is the totally wrong place to ask but do you guys know why there is no chris picture on his imdb page. i mean the photo on the left, the one that shows up when an actor in cast in a movie. am i making any sense explaining this??? sorry for the bad explanation and for the fact that probably you already discussed this somewhere on the board but i just have very little time and can't find it.:embarrassed:

#142 Re: Chris On Screen » The Girl Next Door (ADULT LANGUAGE!!!) » 21 Feb 08 :: 05:42

ok, so you can kill me now, but it took me this long to see this movie.

but damm it's funny!!!!
i actually really enjoyed it. i only watched it because of chris and emile but i ended up really liking the movie.
chris is so funny i could die laughing. i am defenitly going to remember for some decades to come : please, fuck her for me!!! for me man!!!! lol:lol::lol: i am still laughing now as i think about it. i feel i could go on forever about how much fun chris is. i mean i was used to him being sensitive and deep like in joa or tic code. or  crazy like in huff . or weird like in alpha dog. but this is something else. can i say funny like 100 more times???? sorry if i seem redundant but i enjoyed this a lot.
emile is very good and even if the movie is made out just to be a comedy i liked how he acted the role. and the relationship he has with D comes of as really touching and the chemistry between the actors is so right. well, also emile is a hottie and i enjoyed watching him for this too.
i could bring out the flaws in this and the slight resemblances with risky bussiness but maybe i am crazy but i think chris and emile in a movie are 100 times better then tom cruise. well, at least for me.
now i am going to sleep and i might just be laughing in my dreams.

#143 Re: Square Eyes » Into The Wild » 18 Feb 08 :: 03:09

oh, i understand now tee-jay.

i finally saw " into the wild ". wow!!! i started watching the movie with some preconceived ideas about it and somehow wondering if i was going to like it. the movie blew all my ideas out the window.
tee-jay i have almost the same feelings about the movie as you and i also cried lots of times. and i did not cried because of the tragic ending . i cries because the movie made me think about myself, about my relationship with other and with life and sometimes i cried because it was beautiful.
indeed it's rare to see such a delicate, emotional, wonderfully filmed movie.
i just saw it like some hours ago and i still feel like going on and on about it. i already tried to tell the story to my mom and i realized i was killing the movie and it's a must to make her actually seeing the movie.
i feel like gathering my friends and make them watch the movie , but i don't want to push them so they don't dislike the movie because i talk to much about it.:embarrassed:  i tried to make some people watch alpha dog and i didn't have much luck.
i must improve my persuasion technique tongue

#144 Re: Square Eyes » Lars And The Real Girl » 18 Feb 08 :: 02:56

deb, it's so sweet of you. somehow, it touched me the way you told me " it's ok to like it ".  can't explain it properly but i think it was the right thing i needed to hear. smile

#145 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Misc. Stuff » 18 Feb 08 :: 02:53

lovely pictures. but i totaly adore 1, 2 and the last smile

#147 Re: Square Eyes » Lars And The Real Girl » 15 Feb 08 :: 06:01

i actually saw this movie.
i don't remember this happening to me for a while with a movie. at the end i did not know if i liked it or not. i can not tell if it was rubbish or not.
i mean if i take the movie literally i can find a 100 flaws and a 100 ways things could not have happened like that. but if i just think about it like more of a fantasy idea about acceptance , love, coping with disorders it was quite emotionally done.  what i think made me watch until the end was the director and the play writer did not try to over do it. all was in a low key. and ryan gosling is wonderful in it.
so in the end i think i liked it hmm

#148 Re: Square Eyes » Into The Wild » 15 Feb 08 :: 05:53

i heard a lot about this movie. i am curious to see it myself. and i really enjoyed all i have seen of emile's work so far.

as for subtitles. do you see all the movie dubbed in german???:o like you never hear the real voice of the actors???
somehow i think subtitles are better because you get to appreciate the whole work of that actor. i mean even if it is a movie in japanease, that i completely don't understand one word of it, i think that actor worked a lot for a certain accent or a certain way of speaking. the only movie i saw dubbed in romanian was ratatouille and i felt so strange. i kept thinking : this mouse is not supposed to talk in romanian :embarrassed:
do you all see the movies dubbed in your countries???

ps : sorry for the off-topic. at this point, taking into consideration what silly movies are running in the cinemas in my town, i would love any kind of translation for a good movie.
