And this is totally random, but it also reminded me how cool old US police cars look. I wish they'd still look like that. big_smile

It's when your shirt buttons, your tie, your belt and your fly line up perfectly.  It's supposed to mean you are put together exactly right.  In that pic, his chin cleft perfectly lines up with the neck of his Henley t-shirt.  So that's his gig line.  wink

Ah, okay, this explanation makes sense. Thanks.

Okay, I'm sorry, but I have no clue about military stuff, I still don't get what a gig line is, sorry. :clueless:

#154 Re: Joan of Arcadia » Random JoA Stuff... » 20 Apr 12 :: 17:28

Me too! I got the invitation on FB too, and I was like "Oh, you don't know how much I wanna be there!" LOL

#155 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Road Trippin' » 15 Apr 12 :: 20:10

I will be going on a roadtrip to Italy in May. I am looking forward to it, finally a change of scenery for me, and it's been 11 years since I've been to Italy. This time we're going to stay in Tuscany and I am finally going to visit Florence!

Wow, how did I miss this post? LOL I checked out both shows a couple of months ago, but I became more obsessed with GoT. I love Jaime. LOL I do watch Downton Abbey too, though.

#157 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Randomness » 10 Apr 12 :: 22:53

Haley Joel Osment is 24 today. Wow. How did he get so old so fast? LOL

#158 Re: Square Eyes » New Shows 2011 » 09 Apr 12 :: 16:58

Not exactly a "new" show, but I checked out New Amsterdam, a shortlived show from 2008. It has only 8 episodes, but I liked it.

#159 Re: Square Eyes » In Praise of Chris's Colleagues » 08 Apr 12 :: 19:52

I happened to catch an episode of Justified recently. I had no idea Timothy Olyphant has his own TV show.

#160 Re: Joan of Arcadia » Random JoA Stuff... » 07 Apr 12 :: 22:16

You know what, a few days ago I was zapping through German television and I happened to catch Mike's Bones ep. When it went to commercial break I changed the channel and who came on? It was Joe in Criminal Minds. That was kinda cool. LOL

Joan & Cherie would be proud of you for buying a Bowie shirt, Anne.  wink

That's what I thought, too! lol
Also, Stephen Moyer did a Bowie-esque photoshoot last year for Bullett Magazine, and I found it so cool. I had to order the magazine right away. :embarrassed:

#162 Re: Square Eyes » In Praise of Chris's Colleagues » 21 Mar 12 :: 18:27

I remember her from her Grey's episode, she was great there, too. I'll see if I can get hold of that House ep.

#163 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Randomness » 21 Mar 12 :: 18:26

Me, my mom, a friend of hers and her daughter (who is my friend, too) went to this biiiig outlet mall kind of thing yesterday and had a great day of shopping! And I found this absolutely hyper-cool David Bowie shirt, I just had to buy it. It's great when you lose weight and have a reason to buy new clothes. LOL

I really want to watch this but I don't know how to get hold of it.

#166 Re: Joan of Arcadia » Random JoA Stuff... » 13 Mar 12 :: 19:21

Will check those out if I can get hold of them. I love exploring her talent.

#167 Re: Joan of Arcadia » Random JoA Stuff... » 13 Mar 12 :: 10:19

You know what, sometimes I still can't believe Mary played that woman in Gilbert Grape. She does a great job, though. It was quite a "shock" when I realized I had seen her in at least two movies before JoA and never realized it was her. LOL

#168 Re: Square Eyes » Twilight (contains spoilers for all books and the movies) » 13 Mar 12 :: 10:16

LOL, thanks for that good laugh. I usually don't like it much when people make fun of Twilight, but that was definitely funny.

#170 Re: Square Eyes » The Big Bang Theory » 11 Mar 12 :: 23:49

Yeah, she's in a couple of episodes. She's Sheldon's archenemy. It's funny.

#171 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Mary Steenburgen Tweeted Me!!! » 11 Mar 12 :: 22:58

I haven't been to Twitter in ages, but I remember getting exited when Diane Farr tweeted me once. I mentioned I recently watched her Desperate Housewives episode. It was great. No other celebrites tweeted me, though.

#172 Re: Square Eyes » The Big Bang Theory » 11 Mar 12 :: 22:56

I sometimes watch it on German Television. I kinda like seeing Sara Gilbert and Johnny Galecki back on screen together. LOL

#173 Re: Square Eyes » Twilight (contains spoilers for all books and the movies) » 11 Mar 12 :: 22:54

I won't EVER read the Hunger games. I can't understand why so many people actually like it. What's so great about a society that sends their children out to kill each other? That's so stupid. Sorry. I'll rather stick with the sparkly vampires.
