It was definitely interesting - we all learned a lot. It was kind of overwhelming though, I was left feeling like I needed to go through it again to process it all. I'm a little on the squeamish side, so I was a little light-headed walking through it all. Really neat exhibit, though.

Haha thanks you guys, it's been great so far big_smile

Awesome graphic TeeJay, I'm totally saving it.

Everyone I know who has seen it raves, but it just doesn't sound like it would fascinate me. I had no problem learning about the human body in high school biology, but seeing it in front of my face is totally different. Ah well, who knows...I might like it.

Oh jeez, yeah. Arizona gets very hot, but I'd pick 120 degree temperatures and little humidity over high temperatures lots of humidity any day. Humidity, quite honestly, turns me into a raging lunatic. I start snapping at people, I'm hard to get along with, etc. Pretty out of character for me, so I know the weather has something to do with it, lol. I had to deal with a bit of it this summer in Massachusetts as well. It's not fun.

Haha! I guess I'll just have to work on my own imagination to see that one. It honestly hasn't been used in awhile...

#157 Re: Chris On Screen » Fanboys » 23 Aug 07 :: 05:02

I'm really excited to see her on the show, since it's one of my favorites. It's also one of the few that I follow as it airs, I'm much more partial to TV on DVD these days. I'm sure she'll do a great job -- I loved Veronica Mars, it destroyed me when they cancelled it a few months back.

#158 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Road Trippin' » 23 Aug 07 :: 05:00

I'll be home tomorrow night for all of 24 hours, lol. It's been great though. I really only came to see Spring Awakening, a Broadway show, which was a birthday present. It was friggin' awesome, I must say. I'm already trying to figure out how to come back and see it again in a few months. We did some other things today, though, and we're here for most of tomorrow. It's lots of walking around and just looking at everything. We did the NBC tour today, which was pretty cool. Conan O'Brien's studio is really small! We watch him every night so it was quite strange being in there...

I've also got family here, so we visited with them a bit today. We did a lot of the tourist stuff when we were here in 2004, so we're kind of bypassing it this time. Plus, we're not here for long. I think tomorrow we're going to see a museum exhibit called Bodies where they show you real cadavers all hacked up into pieces. Blech. It definitely wasn't my decision to go, lol.

I think the schools back in Arizona started about a week and a half ago, but I know Arizona State started Monday as well. I got an extra long summer this year with the move, don't have to start until the 6th of September. I hate it when summer ends sad

#160 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Road Trippin' » 21 Aug 07 :: 07:15

Off to New York City in the morning. I'll be back late Thursday night, but I'm leaving for Arizona Friday evening. So in case I can't get online while I'm away (doubtful), I'll talk to you guys when I get home!

#161 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Road Trippin' » 21 Aug 07 :: 00:01

Awesome pictures! The towel animals are hilarious. Looks like you had a really great time. I must go one day smile

#162 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Road Trippin' » 20 Aug 07 :: 18:09

Welcome back, and happy belated birthday! Sounds like you had a great time, can't wait to see your photos smile

#163 Re: Square Eyes » Superbad » 19 Aug 07 :: 19:51

Yeah, I saw that trailer! The movie looks really funny. Lots of good people in it.

#164 Re: Joan of Arcadia » Did God Set Adam Up To Fall? » 19 Aug 07 :: 19:50

That's so cool you worked on Roswell! I adored that show during it's first and second season. I agree with TeeJay, the third just wasn't that good.

What was Colin Hanks like on set? Loved him on the show. I just saw him as a creepy stalker guy in "Alone With Her". He pulled it off pretty well.

#165 Re: Square Eyes » Superbad » 19 Aug 07 :: 08:42

Yeah, the dialogue and relationship between the characters was so realistic and natural. Most teen comedies are never able to pull that off.

McLovin was hilarious, and now that you mention it, very reminiscent of Bill Haverchuck. They couldn't have found a better kid for that role. Funny how it's the first thing he's ever done.

I loved when Evan sang These Eyes to the cokeheads, loved the Home Ec scene. I also thought the makeout scene between Evan and Becca was absolutely hilarious, I couldn't stop laughing at how well Michael could pull off that awkwardness. But really, the entire movie was just brilliant.

I watched lots of talk show interviews since I was so excited, and man, that's got to be a fun set to work on. They're all so naturally funny and down-to-earth. It'd be amazing if Chris worked his way into that crowd one day. smile

#166 Re: Square Eyes » Superbad » 19 Aug 07 :: 08:16

I agree. I was reminded of Fast Times at Ridgemont High, one of my all-time favorites, even though Superbad is quite original. I know I'll be watching this one for years. I had been anticipating this one since I read about it a year ago or so. I'm a big Michael Cera fan, and have been since Arrested Development, so when I found out that he was doing something with Rogen, I was ecstatic. I almost set myself up to be really disappointed with how excited I was to see it. But I knew within the first minute that I was going to love it. smile

What were your favorite scenes?

#167 Re: Square Eyes » Misc Stuff » 19 Aug 07 :: 08:10

Oh, oh! They have Goliath at Six Flags Magic Mountain in California. It's one of my favorites. I wonder if it's exactly the same ride, hmm...

Cedar Point is full of the most intense rides I've ever ridden. The last time I was there was with a friend in 2005, when Top Thrill Dragster was pretty new. That ride is such a rush, wow.

I'm a huge coaster enthusiast as well, have been since I was little. My dad and I used to travel around trying to find good ones to ride, which is how we heard about Cedar Point. But nope, I've never been to Kennywood. I'll get there someday big_smile

#168 Re: Square Eyes » Superbad » 19 Aug 07 :: 08:03

Gah yeah, I loved it. Two hours worth of penis jokes? Okay in my book. lol

My mom said it was too crude. Which is giving both me and my brother reason to continuously quote lines from it in front of her face. Hehehe. She only went so I could get him in. I've been caught trying to bring him into R-rated movies too many times to even try anymore sad

#169 Re: Square Eyes » Misc Stuff » 19 Aug 07 :: 08:01

Disneyland is still totally fun for me, especially when I go with my friends. I dunno, I still find it entertaining, lol. They have this whole shopping area now between Disneyland and California Adventure called Downtown Disney, and I *love* it there. They do a good job at keeping things fun for the older teens and adults.

But still, I'd choose Six Flags (preferably the one in CA, though I need to check out the one in Jersey while I'm here) or Cedar Point over Disney any day.

Brenna, did you catch Martin Starr?

Glad you liked it! I can't wait to see it again. I definitely saw Martin, that was one of my favorite scenes. Hilarious.

#171 Re: Square Eyes » Misc Stuff » 19 Aug 07 :: 02:37

Haha! No ride, it was a show where the bears would talk and play music, if I remember correctly. I don't think Disneyland has it anymore, but I used to love it when I was little.

#172 Re: Chris On Screen » Fanboys » 19 Aug 07 :: 02:35

Glad you got to see it! Isn't Michael Cera awesome? I'm totally in love with him these days, lol.

Sorry to hear about your driving incident. I'm so afraid to be pulled over, eek. I would have flipped out. Glad it's no big deal though. Sounds like an easy fix. smile

Haha thanks! Yours is awesome too. I have tons of actors whose work I really respect, so it was really tough to choose just five. That list also changes all the time, lol.

#174 Re: Chris On Screen » Fanboys » 18 Aug 07 :: 06:44

Ah yeah, well I'm going to see it again when I go back home to see my Dad next week. Maybe I'll catch it there smile

#175 Re: Chris On Screen » Fanboys » 17 Aug 07 :: 22:42

I just got back from Superbad (amazing!) and there was no sign of a Fanboys trailer sad Really pissed me off...
