Sounds like it.
His Topher really was spot on. I loved the whole transcendent kind of love that Sierra and Victor had for each other. So adorable.
Plus, Joss really got a cast of talented actors for Dollhouse and of course I didn't mind seeing all the familiar faces (okay, I'll admit it - I loved that).
I wasn't trying to force you into it, honestly!
Did anyone ever watch Dollhouse? It's become one of my favorite Joss Whedon series. It grew on me. I thought I'd add it into this discussion thread!
Wow, I was beginning to think I was the only one who liked it. I knew it was going to upset me when it was cancelled (it was inevitable) but I was too curious to let it go. I think it was too complicated for a lot of people. It's one of those shows that doesn't make sense if you just start watching it in the middle. I personally love that, but to each his own.
It's really a shame it didn't have more of a following because Victor and Sierra (or Anthony and Priya) were adorable together.
I actually really liked New Moon. Not really sure why Bella was stupid enough to get on a motorcycle with a random guy, though. Walking toward the guys wasn't bad enough?
By the way, anyone else notice the Christ the Redeemer statue in the background of the shot of Edward in Brazil?
The screaming fangirls really annoy me!
I'm with you there. I think I'm going to wait a little while to go. Plus if the scene in the forest is going to make me cry it'll be better if there are less witnesses.
I have a thing for musicals and comedies. My DVD collection was pretty homely before all these.
I ended up getting all these from FYE a while ago.
I just remembered that on Greek a couple of weeks ago they mentioned Joan of Arcadia. Rusty (one of the main characters) was asked by his father "Remember those Friday nights we all used to hang out? We used to say 'It's too bad Joan of Arcadia isn't a real girl because Joe Mantegna and Mary Steenburgen would have really liked you'."
Except Mike liked it after he realized what she was doing.
Did anyone else laugh hysterically when Cindy came onto Cooper? His face was just priceless.
OMG! He's speaking Spanish. I think I'm going to die.
I was thinking the same thing.
I'm watching, so you're not the only one.
I've said this before but that "love me or I'll kill myself" thing in Eclipse was just a point of no turning back for me. It is never okay to say something like that to someone.
Yeah, that was a part that infuriated me. Bella was already worried that he would get hurt and he tried to use that to his advantage (it worked, momentarily). He was too focused on what he wanted (Bella for himself) to see what Bella really wanted.
I for some reason empathize with him in his situation in the majority of the series and I can't really explain why. I really don't get it myself; I just can't help it.
I'm interested to see how they handle New Moon in the movie, because I was torn between skipping the middle of the book to get to the Edward parts and trying to really take in what was happening between Jacob and Bella. I guess we'll see in November.
Am I the only one around here who doesn't despise Jake? He's not my favorite character, and he surely has flaws, but I still like him in different ways.
No, you're not the only one, although he infuriated me a few times during Eclipse.
So it did have to be messy to an extent, but I don't think it had to be described in that much detail. But I blame Jacob, it was his POV during that part of the book. Bella never went into that much detail... unless she was talking about Edward.
I have to agree with that. Jacob is far more descriptive of it than Bella would have been because he sees Renesmee as a monster who is killing the woman he loves. I'm not saying that his perception was warped enough to see things that didn't happen, just that he took in every detail far more than most of the other characters would.
I don't remember a 'sex scene' really - just a few fades to black.
Yes, it's a very gory scene. I read it between my fingers in the classic 'I don't want to look' movie watcher scene. But I can't imagine them just leaving it out entirely, since it proves that their fears were well founded and shows why Jacob thinks the way he does about Renesmee initially. However, a well placed fade to black could work if done right (in theory at least).
This sure would be a sharp blow to the people who don't like Breaking Dawn, wouldn't it?
I get why Joan was mad at Adam, at first I expected her to smack him, pushing works too, but yea he's just a kid who went through something similar and he couldn't handle it, thats understandable...
I felt the same way. Although, I thought he redeemed himself a little in that last scene.
From Summit's Website:
Summit Entertainment announced today (7/28) that Bryce Dallas Howard will take over the role of "Victoria" in the studio's upcoming production of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE. Actress, Rachelle Lefevre, who portrayed the character in TWILIGHT as well as the upcoming release of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON, will not continue in the role due to scheduling conflicts with another commitment the actor has made. THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE will start filming in Vancouver this coming August.
That was a lot of screaming. Something tells me seeing this movie in a movie theater may be a bad idea but I'm far too interested in seeing it to wait for it to come out on DVD.
I have to say I agree on that.
I really like the background for this page.
But I haven't decided what I think of this one yet.
