I don't like his singing either, but he CAN play the piano. I like that. I have to admit before Twilight I didn't even remember him from the Potter movies, and Twilight isn't his best acting, but he definitely did brilliantly in Remember Me and WFE. I love those movies. I'm looking forward to see him in Bel Ami. If that'll ever come out. *sigh*

#227 Re: Square Eyes » New Shows 2011 » 02 Dec 11 :: 20:23

Actually I have to admit I didn't really check out any of the new shows this year,nexcept New Girl. I was so busy with my old shows and True Blood. LOL It's a shame, I know. I probably missed a ton of stuff I would actually like.

The very last shot of the last scene in both (excluding the Volturi add-on) is exactly the same, only with different people, of course.

You mean when she opens her eyes? Well, I don't exactly remember what happened in Avatar, but I can't think of any other way to show the completion of a transformation like that and it doesn't lead me automatically to think "They stole that from another movie." It's like the neverending fight about who stole from who, Twilight, True Blood, Vampire Diaries, whatever. Some people have similar ideas. It happens. No need to argue about that.

BTW, you mentioned book adaptions that involve Robert Pattinson. I suggest you watch Water For Elephants, he's brilliant in that one. I've heard that from other people who hate him with a passion.

Cyber Monday for online purchases? Oh dear. I don't need a day like that for my online shopping. I know I can shop online every day! LOL

Aw, whenever I hear about Russell Girl I am reminded that Paul Wesley is in the movie and then I wanna ask him if she gave him the purple-nurple, too. Hahaha.

#232 Re: Square Eyes » Twilight (contains spoilers for all books and the movies) » 24 Nov 11 :: 23:26

Sure they wanna make money, but the Breaking Dawn book contains a lot of story, that would have been too much for just one movie. So it's a good idea to split it in two, just like they did with Harry Potter. I can't wait for Part 2.

#233 Re: Square Eyes » Twilight (contains spoilers for all books and the movies) » 21 Nov 11 :: 15:10

Well, the theatre was full, but I didn't feel crowded. Also, since it was only a double feature with Eclipse and not all four parts together, which it was for many of my friends in other cities here, the screaming/squieaking/etc was very limited. The audience had a few good laughs, including me, so it was okay. I'm going to watch the movie again with less audience to catch up on the bits and pieces of dialogue I might have missed.

BTW, Mike's only in the movie for about a minute or so, but he gave us the biggest laughs ever. LOL

#234 Re: Square Eyes » In Praise of Chris's Colleagues » 20 Nov 11 :: 22:06

Oh, me neither. So far I've only Season 1 and 2 on DVD but I'm definitely going to buy Amber's and Chris's season as soon as it comes out.

Well, he wrote your name down, then looked at me, asking "Her name is Deb?", I answered "Yes, it is. D E B." And he corrected it. LOL Cute little goofball he is! big_smile

#236 Re: Square Eyes » Twilight (contains spoilers for all books and the movies) » 20 Nov 11 :: 21:43

Just returned home from seeing it! It's PERFECT! I really loved it! Well, apart from the fact that this time they did not only ruin Jasper's hair (which I kind expected them to), they also ruined Alice's, but it was bearable. And I'm happy the Bruno Mars song is in the credit. If they had put it in the movie, it would have ruined it for me.
And the ending is JUST like I imagined it. big_smile

#237 Re: Square Eyes » True Blood » 19 Nov 11 :: 20:12

Hey Deb, did you notice Allan misspelled your name first? I thought it was kinda cute. I had prepared little post-it's for each picture, and yet he asked me what your name was and he still got it wrong. big_smile

#238 Re: Square Eyes » True Blood » 18 Nov 11 :: 23:43

Hee, I understand you. I still look at my pictures in awe. I particularly love my shot with Nelsan. That guy is a teddybear! LOL

#239 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Randomness » 18 Nov 11 :: 22:49

Today I couldn't go to my lymph treatment appointment because the train service had to be shut down for one hour because there were children playing in the track bed. HELLO??? Children have no business near any track beds! Where were their parents? Also, it was a friggin' cold day and they had to choose TODAY of all days, to play in the track bed? How stupid can you actually be? *rolleyes*
Sorry for the rant. I just needed to get that off my chest.

Wow, he looks ... old. I mean, not that that's a bad thing. But he looks like a man now and I am still used to the boy. LOL

#241 Re: Square Eyes » True Blood » 18 Nov 11 :: 22:44

Cool, finally! I was just about to ask you again on FB. LOL Glad you like them!

#242 Re: Chris On Screen » God's Work (New Project In Development) » 15 Nov 11 :: 19:52

Oh, I guess that means it's an independent project again? Which translates to "I will never get to see this." sad

If there is a God in heaven, will he PLEASE give Chris a few decent roles? Thanks, me.

#243 Re: Square Eyes » All Things Michael Welch » 15 Nov 11 :: 18:48

From what I've seen of the premiere last night everyone looked really dapper. But Mike certainly stood out. I'm so glad he got rid of that Elf hair. (Which was probably a wig anyway, but still ...)

#244 Re: Square Eyes » The Runaways/Joan Jett/Kristen Stewart - WARNING: ADULT CONTENT » 15 Nov 11 :: 18:29

This is gonna be epic. I hope there will be a premiere in Germany. I am SO going to be there.

I just remembered that I forgot to tell you I met Charisma Carpenter at RingCon, too. I didn't take a picture with her (was too busy covering four other fandoms, lol) but I got her autograph. Will post a picture as soon as I have my scanner installed here.

#248 Re: Square Eyes » True Blood » 10 Nov 11 :: 20:05

Deb, I just read that Dale Dickey is going to be in Season 5. I thought that was interesting for you. She's been cast as Marcus' mother. She also recently finished the movie Evidence which stars Stephen Moyer, too.

Well, I sent a brown envelope and I wrote your name and address in BIIIG letters and my address is on the back, maybe h'll realize that this is not some stupid IRS letter. I just checked at the German post website, it looks like it has reached America. Should arrive soon. smile
