I own the dvd versions of all of those, well except that the Close Encounters is the old Collector's Edition.
Bought this today for $6.96
I bought these 2 action figures from Meijers today for 50% off.
While I don't know much about it, what about Sunshine (2007).
According to IMDB there is only one person credited with writing it.
Not even close.
Brown hair, 41.
I so wish I was in my late 20's again.
Yup I'm old.
darkhorizons has this list of Notable 2009 films and this is what they posted about Fanboys.
http://www.darkhorizons.com/news09/090105a.php
Fanboys
Opens: February 6th 2009
Cast: Sam Huntington, Chris Marquette, Dan Fogler, Jay Baruchel, Kristen Bell, Carrie Fisher, Ray Park
Director: Kyle NewmanSummary: It's 1998 and three former high school friends reunite to undertake the road trip of their fan-tasies - visiting George Lucas' Skywalker Ranch with plans to break in, steal "Star Wars: Episode I" and stake their claim as the first fanboys in history to watch it.
Analysis: The long-delayed, controversially changed and then later restored comedy about geeky fanboys arrives nearly two years after it was originally intended to hit. After so many issues behind-the-scenes, it's hard to imagine this living up to any of the hoopla that has surrounded it. Those going in who aren't aware of all the elaborate backstory will probably appreciate it more.
Greetings from a snowy Monheim. We've had about 3 inches of snow overnight. I know that's laughable for people like Illinois, but it's very rare that it snows (and that the snows stays) in this area.

(Photo taken with my cell phone, thus kinda crappy.)-TeeJay
Actually that is more snow than what we have on the ground right now. Over the past week or so we had a few days with highs near 60 and heavy rain that melted all the snow, well except for the big snow mounds left by the sides of the roads or in parking lots.
Of course things change, now it's cold and expecting some snow on Tuesday.
The list is from well over 5,000 titles for both years.
These are the ones I knew from name alone. Very likely there are many more that I would be interested in, but simply can't recognize them by their title only.
So of course I would pick those that are sequels, remakes and not original ideas since I wouldn't even know what they are about by the title alone.
Just wanted to point that out.

There is likely more that I've overlooked.
I know that one, it's Chapter 27 with Jared Leto (The guy on the right).
Only reason I knew that was because the poster was picked as one of the worst of 2008 on a post on ONTD.
Any guess on my last one?
Could be called a Raiders of the Lost Ark rip-off. Famous for a certain scene with an aligator.
Thanks Deb for earlier posting about the Add Block for Firefox.
I've added that and it works great. Before those stupid animated ads would cause Firefox to crash, now it doesn't.
I'm not saying that they are bad or anything, just that the films don't interest me personally.
Just that the subject matter doesn't interest me that much.
As for the one that I didn't like at all, The Thing. I found it too gory. Plus the scene with the dogs is just sickening in my opinion. I much prefer the 1950's version. Sure it may be hokey to some, but I liked the original one so much better.
So the other day I went to the ATM to take out some money. Online it shows 2 withdrawals for that amount. So I went to the bank to inform them and it'll take up to 2 weeks for their investigation and to decide whether or not to credit my account.
So right now I can't use my ATM/Debit card for anything and if I want to take out money I have to go all the way to the bank and fill out a withdrawal form and show them ID just to get money out.
The thing is that one teller told me that if I right out checks it could bounce, but then another teller told me today that it's fine. So just to be safe I just withdrawal what I want and get money-orders to pay bills. I don't want to worry if I write out a check and the possibility that it may bounce even though the money's in the account because they have a hold on the account.
Complete hassle over so little.
no interest in watching.
I'm not going to list everyone of them that I liked because the list would likely be very long. So instead I'll list the ones that I didn't like or have little interest in watching.
Didn't Like.
The Thing (1982)
Have little interest in watching.
The Shawshank Redemption
City of God
A Clockwork Orange
The Lives of Others
Slumdog Millionaire
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

From Justin to Kelly
Battlefield Earth
If I had to pick my top three 2008 films they would be the following.
Iron Man
Speed Racer
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
AWOL is a military term. Absent without Leave.
Was finally able to score a copy of the 2-disc edition of Zodiac from Walmart for $5.00
Got a few Speed Racer toys this past week.
From Target on clearance.
Plus 2 for a $1 each from the Dollar Tree that is not available at any other store in my area.
Race Wrecked Mach 6 & Desert Rally Mach 5
First look at the Barbie dolls for the film.
$15 a season, why not. The 11th season price was $40 by itself. So I got 2 more seasons for $5 more.
Now I got all the Simpsons season sets out right now.
I also buy the Simpsons Christmas ornaments.
I bought the Hallmark one with Lisa & Bart sitting in front of the TV on clearance and a basic ornament of Homer tangled in Christmas lights for $3.00 yesterday.
Bought these today from Target
$14.99 each
$19.99
I was going to also buy Eagle Eye from Target, but they didn't even have it out yet. So I went to Walmart and they had a big display. Circuit City had the 2-Disc edition on sale for $22.99, so I showed the cashier the Circuit City ad, instead of putting in $22.99, she entered the single disc price of $14.99. So I was pleased to pay only $14.99 plus tax for the 2 disc edition. Saved $8 on that.
$14.99 from Walmart
Weird December weather.
Friday morning we had freezing rain. Saturday we had highs in the low 60's with thunderstorms. On top of that dense fog and localized flooding. Now on Sunday morning it's below freezing with a chance of a wintery mix.
The best thing is that almost all of the snow melted away. Can actually see the grass again. The only snow that's left is the huge mounds left by snowplows or near driveways.
