Hee, like the Sam/Sam pictures! I knew Sam H. would be at DragonCon, he's been tweeting all about it. He's one seriously wacky dude.

Oh that sucks. Was there even any kind of proper conclusion for The Event?
In the last episode, they kinda explained what "the event" was. I've actually already forgotten what exactly it said. Hang on, I think I posted it on Deb's Facebook wall at some point.
Simon (one of the aliens) starts to explain it to Sean (Jason's character): "Sean, what you need to know is, our people were here before. We were here first. This place was our home before it was yours. [...] my people believe that if we stay here, something will happen. To all of us. We call it The Event. It's a rebirth. The next step for our people. We'll change, evolve... into something else. Something greater. But your people won't survive it."
In the end, Sophia ends up bringing their planet into Earth's orbit. And she explains to President Martinez that humankind will basically be slaughtered by her people to make room for the 2 billion aliens that need Earth as their new home. Awesome.

I don't know what came over me that I watched "Friends With Benefits" in the theater today (Justin Timberlake movie), but maybe it's just the fact that I felt I'd been watching way too many action movies lately and really needed something cheesy Rom-Commy. It wasn't exactly great or anything, but it was cute. I enjoyed it quite a bit, and I'm really looking forward to seeing Timberlake in "In Time" later this year.

It was worth even the 6.50 EUR I spent on it!

It's Simon's birthday today, so: All the best and a very Happy Birthday, Simon!!

I think I have most of those that feature Chris memorized. I've looked through them so often for collages and wallpapers and other graphic related things.

IMDb is such a double-edged sword. It's littered with jerks who will stop at nothing, but there's also many influential people on there--as we know. Directors and other crew read and post there, which we know from experience. I get the impulse of going back, but I've long since given up on it myself, and I find myself not missing it. Guess it's a decision you can only make for yourself, Deb. That said: STOP GOING THERE!!!! ![]()

Snagged these from the FB wall of a guy named Richard Silva, who was an extra on the movie...
He's friends with Ernie Cline and tagged him in a bunch of pics he uploaded the other day and it just showed up on my wall, so... fair game, baby. We may even already have them, I don't know. We've got so much Fanboys stuff, it's hard to keep track.
We have all of these. They're on the CDs we have. But it's certainly nice to look at them again. ![]()

Caboose is all there is. No face. But his voice is in it twice...

I saw The Messenger tonight (in a tiny theater in Stornoway on the Outer Hebrides), and Ben Foster just blows me away every time. It was a very quiet but very intense movie. And I wish they'd give Chris a role like that some time.

All right, ladies and gents, I'm off to Scotland until August 30. I won't be taking any computer. I do have my smartphone, but I'm not sure if we'll have WiFi. Worst case scenario: I'm offline until I get back. Behave while I'm gone and don't break the site. ![]()

I didn't mean to say that he gave off a gay vibe. I don't know, I guess he just looks like someone who might be gay. Didn't mean it as an insult either, it was meant in the best possible way. ![]()
-TeeJay
And I was so sure he was gay.

Just got an e-mail from our provider that they're doing maintance on their servers on August 19 between 4 and 6 AM CET (i.e. 10 PM Aug 18 and 12 AM Aug 19 EST). The site (including the MB) might be down during that time.
-TeeJay
Sorry for taking so long.
And I hope you can forgive me for recycling pictures of wallpapers I made in the past. Just don't have the time to put together something new right now.

Thread locked for obvious reasons.

Well, I don't ban people lightly. For that to happen, they must have really pissed me off. Royally. 'Nuff said.
-TeeJay
Man, I really don't wanna feed this imbecile turf war, but please know that Doug sent me an e-mail where he called Deb a middle-aged fat-ass. Yes, thank you, Doug, for the mature response. There were more insults in there that I don't want to repeat. Can we maybe just lock this thread and be done with it? We all know anything further will only be fuel to a fire we don't want or need.
-TeeJay
Happy Birthday, Laura!!
-TeeJay
I'm not even sure what to say. I'm more amused than anything, actually. Harrassing and mean-spirited e-mail, hm? I'm not even gonna grace that with a response.
What actually really creeps me out is that Doug seems to be following my LiveJournal. Where, admittedly, I posted a none too friendly rant that I shouldn't have. It's totally beyond me why he would want to read my entries there. It's mostly White Collar fan fiction and a lot of gushing over Matt Bomer. It's probably the movie reviews I sometimes post there, but still. Do not want. I'm gonna consider friend-locking everything I post there now that's not graphics or fan fiction.

I'm kinda hating it. When I saw it, I was, like: WTH?
-TeeJay
Aw, Kate, sorry to hear you've been so miserable! Incidentally, we've had three cases of shingles in our department in the office recently, so I've been looking up the chicken pox virus online a lot. (We basically wanted to know if shingles was contagious, since three cases in just as many weeks seemed too much of a coincidence.) And then I had an idea for fan fiction, which made me look it up even more. Let's just say, I've seen and heard enough about it now for me to realize just how bad it must have been for you. Adult chicken pox is nasty, and that's an understatement. I'm kinda glad I had it as a kid. (Still have a copule of scars to show for it.)
Hope you'll be all better now! This bad streak has got end. Bad things come in threes, right? So it should be over now. Fingers crossed.

TJ- I hear you, and I truly enjoyed that fic while it lasted!! I haven't gotten into White Collar, but maybe I should, that show has always looked promising. I'm at a bit of a loss with television these days. Since so much of it is poor quality.
I hear ya. I've watched a few pilots lately that I didn't think were worth pursuing. It's really hard to separate the wheat from the chaff. Not that a watch a large number of their shows, but I think USA Network generally has a knack for picking interesting TV shows. I'm also watching "Suits" and "Necessary Roughness" now, though I like Suits better than NR. White Collar's third season in a little disappointing, to be honest, but I thought the first two were wonderful.
-TeeJay
Yes, haha, I'm TheCaptian on Fanfiction, and I've been relishing in your writing for the last month, reviewing when I remember to.
Joanna, thank you so much for all your reviews. Like I said, I'm terrible at answering reviews on FFN. I just find their private messaging system a little cumbersome. But each and every one of your reviews made me squee a little. You asked whether I was going to continue "Why?", and I gotta say, I don't think I will. I don't know, even though JoA will always have a special place in my heart, I've kind of taken my leave of the fandom. So much in my life has changed since then, and I think it's only natural that interests shift.
I don't wanna move this away from JoA and Chris, but if you're watching the USA Network show "White Collar" by any chance, I'm very active in the fanfic department for that show right now. But if you've looked at my FFN profile recently, you might have already noticed that. I'm usually a fandom monogamist, and White Collar is where I'm stuck at the moment.
-TeeJay
Yep, that's the one. And it's also one of the JoA stories I have fond memories about, even though the subject matter wasn't all that cheerful.
