Welcome back guys! Hope all was well on the trips away and much fun was had ![]()
Haha and i didnt mean to be rude.....Happy Birthday Laura!
Oh i cant drink anything remotely creamy if i am having more than one. My stomach hates me for that. I am definitely a beer person. Without a doubt. Even if someone else is buying i am most likely to choose a beer. Its kinda amusing cos it used to annoy my dad no end cos neither of my brothers liked beer but i did. I was sposed to be the girl and like vodka rasberry or something. But over the years (Australia its legal at 18 to drink) he has learnt to embrace it and now there isnt much better than sitting back watching the footy or cricket on tv with my dad and a beer. Also we like to bring home a new beer every now and then for us each to try. Its fun to try the imported stuff or the micro brewery stuff. I am a big fan of the malty heavy flavoured european beers mmmmmm. But when its hot, the clean crisp fresh beers of the US are magnificent too. I like Millers quite alot actually. Ales, Draught, Stout...mmmm yummy yummy yummy. Hahaha i want a beer right now....Also, i do know that most people think of Australian beer as Fosters. But to be honest they pretty much make that to export it. I dont know ANYONE that actually drinks the stuff here. And I had better end my rant on beer there before i annoy people. I can ramble for hours...
I didnt recognise her at first either. But agreed she can pull off that hairstyle. I think this will be a good emotional feel good movie ![]()
Hahaha NO no no no no NOOOOOOOO.
I don't know whether or not it was as public news across the world as it was in Aus. but Sam, the koala that survived the bushfires has died
They plan to have her displayed in the Melbourne Muesum for all to remember the bushfires. It was such a tragic time and this image was one of hope that people clung to. Just wanted to post this in her memory and the memory of others that lost lives, loved ones, homes, and belongings in those fires.

Some of my favourite movies ever....Think im going to watch some when i get home tonight ![]()
Ok so the first time i have watched this movie was last night and i have to say WOW. All the actors in it were fantastic and I loved it. The only issue i have is it feels like there was 3 movies and they tried to squish it into 1. The ending came and i just felt like there was no proper resolution to it all. I dunno. I can see what they were trying to do but i think that the story lines they chose were too big and too in depth to be done properly with just one movie. To me it made more sense to focus on just one story and portray it well than they way they chose to do it. But thats me being negative. I really did love this movie. Bias towards David of course but that story was so compelling. I think they could have done alot more with the Donald Sutherland/Linda Cardellini story line. The only story line to me that felt like it had some form of closure was Forrest Whitaker. But even then i wanted more. This really was a fantastic film but i just wanted more of it
Yeah i added in "that you can talk about" cos i assumed that the new stuff wants to be kept hush hush. You might think you dont have any interesting stories but im sure your job is more interesting than mine!
I dont think its boring at all. We should add another thread and just have you spill all your ramblings about how the sound works for movies. I would be interested at least ![]()
Yeah well here in Melbourne we are teased for having bad and cold weather. So that might give you an idea for the rest of Australia. I know my cousin lives in Queensland and i was chatting to her on Skype the other night and she was saying they were mid-70s and she was cold. I have been to the US west coast when i was 6 but dont really remember much about the weather but i have also been to Japan (centre mostly, Tokyo, Kyoto area) during their spring in 2001 and i didnt really notice much of a difference. So any films/tv shows that you are working on at the moment Rick that you can talk about? Surely you have some interesting behind the scenes stories to tell!
60? Seriously!!!
WOW
We work in degrees celsius, but converting to fahrenheit....all this week the tops are between 57 and 66. With the lows all roughly 40. I feel kinda weird reading that and then thinking about how cold it is here. Although this week is looking to be a rather mild winter weather. The summer just gone was kinda brutal though. I remember we had 4 days in a row that were 105-110. I dont even have air con at my house or my car, so i can understand heat. I do miss the heat and watching sunsets on the beach though. Even though i am very pale and sunburn easily i have always preferred the heat to the cold. The coldest we generally get regularly would be about 20, and that is for snowing and stuff up the mountains (btw our snow is crap, i wouldnt come here to ski or snowboard) But i am planning on vising across the US next year. I have submitted my application for Camp America already and organising my passport and saving up.....I am already getting all bouncy and excited and i still have to wait another 9 months
Wow, impressive Rick. You should be proud. Also i have noticed a large trend towards childrens and cartoon shows. Happy coincidence? or is that a preference of yours?
*Shrug* I am always going to be the opposite of what you Americans are seeing as though our seasons are opposites. But oh well ![]()
Gah....I am very jealous
I am sure i will eventually get to watch this movie but but but i am very bad with patience
Its so strange to read all you guys talking about all the heat when its winter here. Hahaha but dont worry come Christmas time i will be complaining about the heat too....but for now i miss it insanely. I prefer too hot to too cold. And right now its too cold for me here ![]()
John Hughes was a beautiful, beautiful man...sadly missed
A fade to black with Edward about the do the C-Section and a well timed Bella scream....it could work. It might save an unwanted rating too. Twilight is aimed to all ages but it really is marketed to the young teen and tween girls. I really cant see them keeping this scene for that rating. Perhaps as an extra on dvd but i really cant see them risking missing out on the revenue. I thought they dealt with the gore of the ballet classroom rather well from the first movie so it could work. *shrug* time will tell...
SOOOOOO Jealous. His dancing skills are amusingly bad, but but but ALL those places.....SO jealous
That is so wrong...
That rotty....NAWWWWWWW I want him!
Hahaha yeah the dog was on the news story last night. It is such an adorable but scraggly little mutt.
What the hell....the bird explodes!!! And so so sweet of your friend
Nawww too cute... It reminds me of my bubby when she was just a puppy! I will organise a photo to post one of these days
