I love Johnny Depp, but Angelina was the reason I did not see the movie in the theatre. Guess I'll be renting the DVD.

Good question since he kind of looks like he's falling asleep any second ... :clueless:

You know, I just thought this is the perfect excuse to explain why I didn't have a boyfriend yet. I can always tell people I want a boyfriend with a deep, bassy, sexy voice but I am too scared to be hurt by them. LOL big_smile

2012. If I believed in that kind of stuff I'd say the Mayan calender is right. But I have to admit, it's starting to scare the crap out of me.

Tough luck for me, I guess, I love those voices ... LOL

Okay, after hearing devastating news from Japan all day, this picture is not what I wanted to see here, sorry. sad

#635 Re: Square Eyes » Welcome to the Whedonverse (Buffy/Angel/Etc Appreciation) » 11 Mar 11 :: 21:30

I need to find a place near here where I could rent the Buffy DVDs from. I would love to see the show again, especially in English.

#636 Re: Square Eyes » In Praise of Chris's Colleagues » 11 Mar 11 :: 21:29

It happens to me too, but mostly with Mr Sheephead. But I stayed with Being Human, it's quite interesting.

#637 Re: Square Eyes » Amber Tamblyn » 10 Mar 11 :: 17:36

I'm still behind with the House eps, too, but I at least took a glimpse at Zombie Amber! I bet this was fun! LOL

In other news, since I've been looking for/watching a lot of Colin Firth movies I haven't seen yet, I watched Main Street yesterday. I wasn't really able to find out what the message of the movie is supposed to be, but in the end it was quite entertaining, I guess. Amber looks stunning as always and it was fun to watch two of my most favorite British actors (which would be Firth of course, and Bloom) talking in Texan accent to each other. I guess I have to watch the movie again at some point, maybe then I'll understand the full meaning.

O-kay, I'm going to check that out just because of David Krumholtz. I love that man. wink

#640 Re: Square Eyes » Oscars 2011 » 07 Mar 11 :: 21:27

You do remember correctly. I didn't manage to watch it until the end earlier, so I'm going to do that now. I've been trying to find it on DVD, too, but the only ones are sold for about 26 Euro which is waaaay too expensive for me, so I just watch the youtube clips for now.

#642 Re: Square Eyes » Oscars 2011 » 07 Mar 11 :: 16:42

So I started checking out Colin Firth's early start on youtube and now I've found myself totally fallen in love with "Another Country". It's a 1984 film set in the 1930ies, that means he was only 23 years old when this was shot but his acting is abolutely brilliant. yikes I think my new passion is movies set in the 1930ies. They always turn out to be great.

Well, they managed to make an almost 30-year-old Jason Behr look (believably) like a 16-year-old, so... wink

Uhm ... I quite never believed it, not even when I started watching the show when it came out. There was ALWAYS a part of me wondering that a "normal" 16yearold can NEVER look like that.
And if if or although they managed to do that with Jason - that doesn't mean they'll be able to do it with Chris, too.

Yeah, I've got in on my YouTube playlist.  But it's so stupid not to include it on the soundtrack.  Especially since Weitz said on the movie commentary that it would be!

Guess what, Chris Weitz joined Twitter a few days ago and is doing Q&A sessions with fans and I took the opportunity to ask him why the song wasn't on the soundtrack and after three days of asking(!) he finally answered it just a few minutes ago!

They put it on the iTunes as a bonus for the whole soundtrack. I love it, but out of my control... Amadou and Mariam -- beautiful

Maybe it's time we start writing our John Cusack father/son script. Sometimes, when I look at some other actor's careers I get so desperate for Chris. Sorry. roll

Well, it's just that it's been years since I saw both shows for the last time and I watched so many other shows and movies since then, my brain is probably too small to remember everyone! LOL But I used to love Buffy and Angel. Really. And I still do. I should find a way to watch them again ....

#649 Re: Square Eyes » All Things Michael Welch » 04 Mar 11 :: 18:01

I just found this "new" interview with Mike on the Twilight Lexicon website.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tUJk-Vx0 … ded#at=565

They said it was done just after Eclipse had been shot, but was only released just now. Looks like he went back to black hair pretty soon, huh?
And yeah, he does talk about Twilight a lot, but he also mentions going to Paris and Germany briefly (which we know he did).

#650 Re: Square Eyes » Welcome to the Whedonverse (Buffy/Angel/Etc Appreciation) » 04 Mar 11 :: 17:58

They recently announced a former Buffy actress to attend RingCon this year. Probably not really interesting for you but I thought I'd mention it here. She used to play Cordelia and I was kind of ashamed that I didn't remember her character. At all. Sorry.
