#7151 Re: Joan of Arcadia » JoA Recaps for Season 1 » 25 Oct 06 :: 18:20

I didn't mean to say that we have to do this for every single episode. Just a warning that it's Season 2 and it didn't air in Germany yet. Because maybe it will air at some time here and maybe some people still want to watch the show without spoilers. If Season 2 will not air here at all and there are some people who like to know what happens in Season 2 they can read still read it, if they want.

#7152 Re: Alles über Chris » Alpha Dog » 25 Oct 06 :: 17:56

#7153 Re: Joan of Arcadia » JoA Recaps for Season 1 » 25 Oct 06 :: 17:52

Tina, do you think we should make a spoiler warning for the German season 2 section? I mean, I don't know if it will air in Germany at all, but maybe it will and maybe there are still some fans here besides us. I just wanted to know your opinion.

#7154 Re: Introduce Yourself » hi » 25 Oct 06 :: 17:50

Oh yeah, RTJ is a very good episode. But I also didn't like Roger. How dared he to kiss Joan! Grrr!!! mad
I was kinda okay with Stevie, because I knew that Adam loved Joan, so I had to grin a little about her jelousy actually. wink

And I still don't see the sense in turning JoA into The OC. In my eyes it's a crap show, sorry. There are so many similar shows like The OC, why wanted they another one? They should have realized that Joan was a marvel between all that TV crap.

#7155 Re: All About Chris » Bogus Chris blog on myspace » 25 Oct 06 :: 17:41

Oh nooo, there's actually somebody who pretends to be Chris? Oh God. roll
I heard so much about people pretending to be celebrities on the amtam board. There were several people on myspace who pretended to be Amber and I was hoping that this will never happen to Chris. Apparently, I was wrong. sad

People, this is not funny. Get an own life.

lol:lol::lol: Thanks for that laugh.
Me too. big_smile

#7158 Re: Joan of Arcadia » JoA Recaps for Season 2 » 24 Oct 06 :: 23:22

I'm currently working on 1x05 or 1x06. I'm sure you'll have to polish it a little because I sometimes don't know the exact translation and I also can't remember often what they said in German. It's more than a year since I watched the German version. I even have to check the German episode titles because I don't remember them exactly. LOL

#7159 Re: Joan of Arcadia » JoA Recaps for Season 2 » 24 Oct 06 :: 21:26

Yeah, the cop plots ... sometimes I also forward them, because I can hardly follow it ... roll
Sometimes I just watch the Joan/Adam scenes. LOL I also love Grace and Luke a lot. The Kevin stuff, well ... I followed it but it wasn't my main interest. This was Adam and Joan of course. big_smile
I'll read the recaps soon, but at the moment I am too busy with downloading pictures and translating website stuff, sorry.

Aaawww, Tina!
Loved it, especially the last scene. I would have loved to see that on screen! smile

#7161 Re: Chris On Screen » American Gun » 24 Oct 06 :: 17:40

I'll read it later, I just came home and I have to eat something first.

90 minutes of watching people get tortured.  No thanks.  We see enough of that in the real world these day.  And I just don't find it entertaining at all.

Yeah, this is exactly what I think too. I just realized something when I was watching the news after I came home tonight. Everything is about war and murder and other bad news now. It's almost like watching the news had turned into watching a horror movie. So I don't feel the need to spend money on seeing this in the cinemas, too.

#7163 Re: Alles über Chris » Was so ansteht... » 23 Oct 06 :: 22:37

#7164 Re: Alles über Chris » Was so ansteht... » 23 Oct 06 :: 22:31

Ich denke, ich kann das jetzt auch mal hier posten, vielleicht guckt ja auch der ein oder andere deutsche Fan hier vorbei.
Als nächstes steht Just Friends in Deutschland an. LOL

#7165 Re: Square Eyes » Lost » 23 Oct 06 :: 22:22

I also loved The Sixth Sense but watching it a second time was kinda boring ... because I already knew the end. It's one of these movies I can only watch one time, but it's still a good movie. A very good one, to be exact.

#7166 Re: Square Eyes » Lost » 23 Oct 06 :: 22:15

The Sixth Sense is horror to you? To me it wasn't horror. It was kind of ... supernatural or something like this, I think. But that's only me of course.

#7168 Re: Square Eyes » Lost » 23 Oct 06 :: 21:10

I have never heard of that Equilibrium movie, but I don't like the Saw movies. I have seen the first one in cinema, but I didn't like it. When it comes to horror movies I rather watch The Grudge or The Ring. And not only because of Amber Tamblyn.

#7169 Re: Square Eyes » Lost » 22 Oct 06 :: 23:03

Okay, since I am spoiling myself for Lost -> <nag nag> wink

Yes, I still don't have started watching Lost yet. I will soon, but I'm still stuck with Numb3rs. And yes, it's because of David Krumholtz. My backup guy. big_smile

Deb and Anne, you know what I mean, right?

I guess I do. It's kinda the same here. wink
And yeah, George is my favorite too. I don't like Alex that much, but it's not that I would hate him. He's just ... there.

As for this Perfume Murder movie ... I don't think I'd watch this movie, with Chris in it or not. I once wanted to read the book but then I read a summary and it was ... too weird for me. So I have no interest in that movie.

But I would watch Chris in ER again, of course. big_smile

TeeJay wrote:

Deb and I concluded that the scene at the beginning of the movie when Janet and David drive in the car and the one later, when she drives him to school must be the same scene initially. And later they decided that they need to show the friction between Janet and David a little earlier, so they took a bit of the driving to school scene and put it earlier in the movie. Which is just confusing like hell because it makes no sense.

Yeah, that's what I assumed, too after watching it a second time.

TeeJay wrote:

Him taking off his jacket is not that confusing. They just made a tiny cut there. He comes home, finds his mom home, asks her why she's there. The camera stops. Off camera, he takes off his jacket, Janet explains that he needs to quit the private school and go to Ridgeline. Camera is switched on again. David melts down. It's not that hard to follow, is it?

Well, for me it is confusing, because I think it's weird when he suddenly has no jacket anymore with no indication that he's about to take it off, but that's just me and you don't have to care about that. It doesn't mean that I couldn't follow the storyline. I could follow it. I just didn't expect a missing jacket, that's all.

#7172 Re: All About Chris » If Chris Could Play Any Role... » 22 Oct 06 :: 21:59

Hey, not only TeeJay would agree, I would also! I love Grey's Anatomy! wink A Joan/GA crossover sounds awesome! Maybe not as George's cousin, but as a cute patient or something.
And I also would love to see him on Numb3rs or Medium, like I said before.

#7173 Re: Chris On Screen » American Gun » 22 Oct 06 :: 21:54

Yeah, the driving scene confused me, too. Or the fact that he suddenly doesn't wear his jacket anymore after finding out that his mother has lost her job and that he has to change schools. It's all a litte confusing, but it's still my favorite performance. wink

#7174 Re: All About Chris » Your Chrissues of the Day » 22 Oct 06 :: 14:07

Okay, here is the next funny coincidence. At the moment I am trying to read the Anne Of Green Gables Books in English, which is very difficult. Yesterday I found a website where you can download MP3 Audio Books for free and I was happy to find a version of Anne Of Green Gables, so I downloaded it and started  listening to it. It is recorded by different people, which is really good because I can hear different people reading it and it shows me how to pronounce the English words right. So I was listening to it yesterday while I was downloading some pictures from Melissa's gallery. And at the beginning of every chapter the people who are reading it, say who they are and where they live and I was listening and suddenly a woman said "Recorded by XYZ, Marquette, Michigan."
And I was like, "What did she just say? Marquette? There's a town called Marquette in Michigan???" yikes So, this is my new Chrissue. And you must think right now that I'm crazy. LOL big_smile

#7175 Re: Room For Improvement » Intro pages » 22 Oct 06 :: 13:59

Of course I'll post the vampire version! That's the gag! LOL

Okay, cool. Just do it when you have enough time. I hope to finish the translation of the recaps soon. roll I am jobless and somethimes I think I also need a 36 hours day. I don't know what will be when I'll have a job!
