Hahaha yeah I saw that photo and loved it. Its from a new movie that he is supposed to be filming. He is playing Aiden that is an Elf in a movie based on a book that I dont think has been released yet. Of Light and Darkness....I am kinda excited to see it anyway. Might take awhile though if they are only just starting to film now

Three in one month is a little crazy....I was only in the one when my brother got married and that was plenty! Its alot of fun, but it can be hectic at times too

#58 Re: Square Eyes » In Praise of Chris's Colleagues » 27 May 11 :: 10:42

Ryan's movie does have alot of appeal to it. Should do well just based on the two leads alone. And yup TeeJay I have been keeping up with Being Human. I really like it alot actually. Although sadly I can't watch it here I have to wait and download it. I have only seen one episode of the UK one though, so cant tell if I like the US one better, but it has sucked me in. Will read your fic and let you know what I think smile

I love my netbook. I dont actually have a laptop. Just a shared desktop computer and my netbook. And i LOOOOOVE it. So small and so convenient. I pretty much only use the computer to go online as it is. I'm not a big gamer and any files I use for work were rather small, and then I added an external hard drive and it works fantastic smile But still no name...

#61 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Randomness » 23 May 11 :: 11:09

Hahaha I have never named my computer and kinda think its a good plan not to. But I do love the names you guys have chosen. Its great. Makes me wonder what I would name mine if any...and then im like NO, cant corrupt my computer. Hahaha

#63 Re: Square Eyes » HIGH School » 19 May 11 :: 04:42

#64 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Summer 2011 - Who's Got Plans? » 13 May 11 :: 14:15

Well it will be winter for me wink But im planning on taking up a 6 month course of childrens services (so I can supervise children) and then hopefully that will lead into a teaching course starting next year smile Also planning to be moving out of home and in with friends of mine last week of june/first week of july. Should be awesome!! Its a household that has 3 friends of mine, but one is wanting to move out, so I will be taking her place. Really excited about it. Other than that just continue on with life. No holidays again for quite some time after my trek everywhere hahaha. Anyone wanna come visit me in Australia??

#65 Re: Square Eyes » Breaking In (Adam F. Goldberg's new show) » 12 May 11 :: 11:02

I'm a little hooked myself. Dutch is my favourite....he is just so perfectly wrong. Played amazingly! And he is definitely the butt of enough jokes and create enough jokes to laugh at him that i dont think the show would be the same without him. Michael Rosenbaum knocks it out of the park!!

#66 Re: The Bullhorn » Message Board announcements » 11 May 11 :: 06:29

Yeah I did notice that post too. For me I thought the giveaway was her asking such a personal question with it only being her first post on the board which I thought was weird. I am glad you are catching these spammers, but it must be annoying for you. Spammers suck!

#68 Re: Chris On Screen » Reality Check - New Project! » 07 May 11 :: 06:36

It looks sooo funny. Pity its only a trailer so far

#70 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Randomness » 07 May 11 :: 04:12

I like that I get to learn about these things on this board. Also it makes me aware of how many things are Australian specific that I wasnt aware of before! HA!

#71 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Randomness » 06 May 11 :: 15:13

I wasnt aware of either holiday. But I did laugh at "May the fourth" be with you. smile
To all those that celebrate, I hope you enjoyed your Cinco de Mayo!

#72 Re: Square Eyes » In Praise of Chris's Colleagues » 05 May 11 :: 11:26

I do laugh when people refer to it as like the "adult" version of twilight.....have you heard that yet?

#73 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Randomness » 28 Apr 11 :: 04:43

I really want to avoid it as much as possible....but its been on the news and every talk show here and the ADS!!! oh the ads.....Its just abit much really. They even have aired a made for tv movie called Will and Kate, a modern fairytale.....yes they made a movie about it with impersonators doing the acting.

Anyway I am completely over it and dont want to watch it. Which means I wont be able to watch tv that night, but I think I can live with it. Australia has gone abit loopy over it all. But seeing as though they are still "our" royal family I guess it makes sense, meh I dont care.

It has been pointed out to me that "lest we forget" is not universal. So I wanted to share the Ode of Rememberance with you.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
Lest we forget.

This ode is taken from a poem and said very often in reference to soldiers in Australia, particularly today. Often now even just saying "Lest we forget" has become the norm. I don't know the whole poem but have found it online.

For the Fallen

With proud thanksgiving, a mother for her children,
England mourns for her dead across the sea.
Flash of her flesh they were, spirit of her spirit,
Fallen in the cause of the free.

Solemn the drums thrill: Death august and royal
Sings sorrow up into immortal spheres.
There is music in the midst of desolation
And a glory that shines upon our tears.

They went with songs to the battle, they were young,
Straight of limb, true of eye, steady and aglow.
They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted,
They fell with their faces to the foe.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
