I've seen Normal Adolescent Behavior (both versions of it, actually), and it looks as though what may have been a good story was raped of its positive qualities and edited to appeal to more teenagers, much like what is happening with Fanboys right now. Both versions of the movie were terrible, but there was definitely potential buried somewhere under the crap.

Wow TeeJay, he sounds extremely pleasant and down to earth. I have a bunch of favorite theater actors as well, but I always get wicked nervous after the show and have never had the guts to stand outside of the stage door to tell them how awesome they were in the show. I gotta learn to stop being so shy.

Paul played guitar and sang in this weird-ass movie I saw not too long ago.  The title escapes me right now, but I'm not surprised he has a band either.

The King. Very fitting description of the movie, by the way. It was bizarre. But I love Dano's voice. I bought Mook's EP on iTunes at least a year ago. Love them.

Haha, that's hilarious. My friend remembers the day his dad brought home a new computer with a 6 GB hard drive. He said out loud, "We'll never need more space!"

#55 Re: Square Eyes » Post your recent DVD purchases » 30 Jan 08 :: 06:55

My dad has the player that plays both Blu-ray and HD-DVDs, but I think the market is leaning towards Blu-ray these days. Some of the movies he's bought look amazing in the new format, but with others, the difference isn't all that noticeable. I think they're also still working a few kinks out with some of the players, as we've had to update the software through the Internet a few times now.

Yep, I've got Undeclared. I never got to watch it when it aired on television, but I grabbed it the day it was released on DVD. Such a great show.

Jeez, Deb, quite a haul! You've got some really awesome new movies. And how did you live this long without the Freaks & Geeks box set?! yikes

Brilliance, TeeJay! Very, very cool.

Happy Birthday TeeJay! Have a good one!

Yeah, I just saw one of his very recent interviews and he looked completely exhausted. When he was asked about his little girl, he said that it's shifted his perspectives on death, as he knows that he will live on through her, but that he wants to be around to watch her grow up. So sad.

Oh, I'm sure the pills were stronger than Ambiens. He was quoted saying that he had taken Ambien to help him sleep after working on the new Batman movie because he was disturbed by his character. But I doubt that's what he overdosed on today.

I thought he was dating Gemma Ward? I don't really stay current with celebrity gossip, but it was all over the magazines in the grocery stores at one point.

Yeah, Mary-Kate is at Sundance right now. I wonder why he was at her apartment...

#65 Re: Square Eyes » Holy Hell! No Way!!! » 23 Jan 08 :: 00:48

Yeah, we heard someone mention it on TV. So strange.

This just really isn't making sense to me.  At all.

Yeah, I heard that too. It's not making much sense to me either.

I really feel awful for Michelle Williams and his little girl Matilda right now. Ugh.

#67 Re: Square Eyes » Holy Hell! No Way!!! » 23 Jan 08 :: 00:36

I was beyond stunned when I heard the news. We lost such an amazing talent.

I love those photos of Chris by the fire. Awesome wallpaper, TeeJay. I'm definitely saving it.

I'd love to hear him answer some of those, actually. Hopefully someone gets the opportunity to ask him at some point.

JJ only produced Cloverfield.  I'm going to see it tomorrow.  Alone.  Dave wimped out on me because of the hand-held camerawork.  He threw up in the middle of The Blair Witch Project from motion sickness and since this movie is like that one on steroids, he doesn't think he can handle it.  sad

The best advice I've heard about Cloverfield and the way it was filmed was to sit as far back in the theater as you can when you watch it. Some people have had some bad experiences after being stuck in the front row, lol.

#72 Re: Square Eyes » Twilight (contains spoilers for all books and the movies) » 19 Jan 08 :: 23:31

I'm pretty happy with the cast they've chosen so far. I know lots of fans were really pushing for Emily Browning to be cast as Bella, but I think Kristen Stewart will pull it off. And Robert was a really good choice for Edward, if you ask me. I just hope they get Jacob right, as he's one of my favorite characters.

Hope you're having fun with Rove, TeeJay! I love getting new computers.

Since I grew up in a place where any sort of precipitation was a rare occurence, I was not at all prepared for the winter here in Massachusetts. It's been snowing since late November, I think, and I still haven't gotten used to it. My brother and I keep saying that what's baffling us the most is that it doesn't get warmer during the day. Down in Arizona, it'd be kind of chilly in the morning, then it would heat up and you'd feel like a moron for wearing a sweatshirt. Here it's just always cold.

I really, really miss heat.

I'm so not a PC person, but the sounds of that machine make even me drool. Have fun with it Tina! :drool:
